We liked this place alright. The service was good and so was the food. We'd give it five stars, if it weren't for the fact that there really wasn't anything super outstanding about the food. While it was fresh, tasty and seasoned well...there was just something about it that seemed like a chain restaurant. Although, we will say that the potato salad (with the pulled pork plate) was unique and yummy! We certainly wouldn't discourage anyone from going here...just giving our opinion. read more

Had the Gator Bites for an App and the Shrimp Trio for lunch. First of all, the food came out warm, more on the cool side. Not what you're looking for in seafood. That said, the gator bites good, and of the shrimp trio, only the fried shrimp were good and fresh. The bacon wrapped pepper shrimp along with the blackened shrimp were not good. Also cam with some chilled rice and mixed vegetables that were also below average. We will not be back. Lastly, there was 1 waiter in the room which didn't help things. read more

Ambiance was great. Good music playing at a reasonable level. I did not see any TVs in the area we were sitting. Robot server assistance were cool. Service was good. Waiter was polite. Some guy in a Hawaiian shirt surprised us asking about taking our photo. We declined and he didn't bother us again. I had what was supposed to be catfish fried in a cornmeal batter. It was fried fish, but not fried in cornmeal. It was cooked well, but not what I asked for. The batter was more like what would be used on chicken. Very disappointing. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from a plastic instant mashed potatoes cup. Good service good food!! We went on a Friday night without calling ahead, got a table right away, food was delicious and you get a LARGE portion for a very good price. Circy was our server and he was very attentive, fast and friendly. They were out of a side I wanted but he offered to throw together something similar to it without prompting or instead of just saying they were out. He held conversation easily and made it a very enjoyable dinner. We got seated and waited at least 15 minutes for someone to come to our table. No problem bc we know restaurants are hurting right now. We were patient and she asked if we were ready to order when we put in our drink order. We were ready anyway and wanted to save her as many trips as possible. We ordered 2 dr peppers, a water, gator bites for an appetizer, then a lobster roll with Cole slaw, blackened salmon with a side salad and mixed veggies, then a burger with fries. We waited and waited and then got the appetizer. A food runner dropped it by without noticing we never got our drinks, which isn't his problem.. he's not the server. Then our meals come out and we still don't have drinks. I politely ask him and he gets them for us. Our server never came to check on us once until the end. The mixed veggies were terrible, the burger was terrible, lobster roll was really good, side salad was good, we got fries instead of the Cole slaw ordered. No big deal on that. At the end, when we went to pay it gave an option for tips for 0%, 20%, 25%, 30%. We still gave 20 bc we know restaurants are short staffed. She saw he clicked 20% and acted annoyed even though she literally didn't pay attention to our table at all. It wasn't busy at all either. After the awful food and service, we won't be back.
