We haven't been to this location yet. We are here now, and it was pretty good. There are a lot of options for your seafood endeavors! You are eating in Branson, I will add that the sales taxes are steep. Just to let you all know.. most of Branson has steep tourist sales taxes included in the food and tourist stops. The strip and downtown is full of people, and is very touristy. You will have to park and walk to Joes. However, we got full and did enjoy the seafood dishes.. I suggest the Daddy King Crab selection. All in all, the shrimp platter was tasty.. my daughter enjoyed it. Be sure to tip your table staff.. enjoy your Branson trip!! read more

Joe's Crab Shack is now added to one of my favorite restaurants list. I literally think about this day and it makes me want to take another trip to Branson. Everything we had was amazing. Everything was flavorful and was the right temperature. The hush puppies were the best I've had so far anywhere. The Atlantic Steam pot with Cajun seasoning was scrumptious. Not too spicy just right. The calamari was delicious as well, not over cooked nor chewy and the sauce was delicious. The coconut shrimp breading was not overly fried, it was very flavorful and even better with the dipping sauce. Our waitress Melva was great. She was supper attentive and cheery. The food was horrible. Had to send my food back cause the steak was over cooked and then the pasta was worser. The kids steampot came with a small 3 leg crab and old potatoes and corn no seasoning nothing. It was a horrible experience. This place is an expensive mess. read more

Our visit today hit the seafood craving, but not the wallet-lol! We had the new Snow Crab Classic with Cajun sauce, the Glazed Salmon and two kids meals. Youngest wanted to go to SDC and then come here for his birthday. You can't compare this to restaurants along the ocean, but for being in the muddle of the country, it was good. My youngest and I got the East Coast platter. Those bacon wrapped, stuffed shrimp were the highlight of the platter. The stuffed crab (cran cakes) was really good for nowhere near the shoreline. The fish is nice and flaky and just enough batter to give it a crunch but not overtake the fish. Popcorn shrimp was meh, and the fries were just fries. My wife got coconut shrimp and loved them. She said the pineapple plum sauce was sweet, creamy, and oh so good. The oldest got chicken Alfredo and said it was very good. It waitress was on top of things from the get-go and made sure everything was always full. The place is crazy on a simmer night, but crazy is OK sometimes. read more

We were told seating for 2 would be 10 minutes even though it had empty tables throughout so we agreed to wait. 20 minutes later we had to ask and then we were seated fairly quickly. Server acted mad that she got another table (an hour before close). Ordered boiled shrimp (Cajun/hot), potatoes and corn with a side of sausage ($4 al a carte). I waited forever for gloves due to a few cuts on my fingers from weeding my yard earlier that week. Shrimp was super bland, potatoes were cut into wedges but still undercooked and corn, while sweet and delicious, was not cut in half as my husband's was & my husband didn't get his sausage on the side- had to ask for it and wait. Server said she would bring a knife but never did. Asked for hot sauce, never got it. My husband requested 2nd draft beer but was finished with his meal before that came. We were seated in a full section that cleared out before we got our food and the server literally swept the floor in the section even around us until I asked her to stop as we were still eating- she seemed confused- as if unaware that dust and old skin cells fly up when they are swept. Ordered the sampler to-go and this is what I received. Everything had okay portions; however, the crab mix was very disappointing. The portion was very tiny. The bowl is large so it can look deceiving, but it was maybe 3 oz of actual dip. I will not be ordering to-go from here again. I usually never have a problem but this wasn't the best experience. Not often I eat at chain restaurants but was in the mood for snow crab. This place is excellent. Friendly greeting. Friendly service. Ate at the bar, but there is also a nice seating area and a patio with a great view of the river. Kaley the bartender rocks! Nice cocktail, beer, wine selection. Well made. Garlic bread was wet good. Not greasy, with good flavor. Maybe a bit more salt, but overall very good. Salad was perfect. They make the ranch dressing and it is very flavorful but not too heavy, and they serve it on the side and provide a generous amount. Fresh lettuce. Cheese, onions, tomato, and croutons - perfect proportions. Crab bucket saw perfectly steamed legs and generous portions. We added clams and they were PERFECTLY TENDER little necks. (In a world where we often get chewy and sandy middle-to-top neck clams someone is trying to say are those tender little necks, this was a pleasant experience!). Corn was very good. Potatoes too. Kaley kindly provided some extra Old Bay seasoning on the side and fresh lemon wedges. No idea if every Joe's is this good, but this place is worth a visit. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Worst experience at Joe's crab shake. Raised prises and reduced portinon size. Would rather have higher price with same portinon. Had to return to hostes to be seated after being told we would be seated in 25 min or less, after waiting 35 min. Our server Janna was very pleasant and highlight of our visit. read more
