Awesomeeeee. Pancakes are huge, service was quick and attentive. Nice layed back vibe. Cool area. Overall great food and nice experience.

In Reno for a visit and was told by my friend I would love this place. Clean and bright, friendly enough staff. It was when served I became upset. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and I believe the muffin was old and then micro-waved, couldn't cut it with a knife. A bad breakfast kinda blows you whole day. Overpriced also. read more

Haven't eaten here in a couple years so we brought my sister in law from Indiana for breakfast. Still good breakfast and large portions will keep coming back. Oh yeah love their biscuits. read more

Amazing food. Their orange juice isn't freshly squeezed but other than that I was not disappointed.

I love Truckee location squeeze in so I had high hopes for this experience. Unfortunately the food was sub par. I love eggs beni! So naturally I ordered the classic. It was really bad. Huge amount of bread one tiny piece of ham and bland sauce (which really makes or breaks a beni). I even asked for more ham and more sauce to try and fix myself but there was no coming back from this dish. I tried to let a friend try and she couldn't eat it either. The service was good but I was a bit disappointed they didn't tune in to me not eating this dish and offer to fix the situation. But who knows maybe they don't have that sort of authority. Hopefully they can figure it out because the name will bring people in but the food will surely never bring them back. read more

So, I've never been to their Truckee location, but this restaurant rocks! The good?? Well, the food is delicious and the portions are extremely generous. My hubby and I both can put away some food, and we both needed to-go boxes for our mountain-sized omelets. He had some delicious concoction with chili in it, and mine was loaded with veggies and gooey cheese. As a bonus, we had our leftovers that night for dinner and they were still superb! If you are planning to share or to order take out, plan on moderate extra fees. The service was friendly and helpful, the place was clean, the coffee was perfectly brewed and hot, and his OJ was freshly squeezed. I'm stoked about trying them for lunch, but with the HUGE selection of omelets, I may never get to the lunch menu! The decor is funky and entertaining, and we took a chance to sign (yes, sign) their wall in the front dining room. Can't wait to go back. If you're famished, you may be uncomfortable waiting for a table. We usually go early in the morning--especially if it's a weekend--to beat the rush, though it is definitely worth the wait." read more

We were a party of six, family members who came into Reno from Arizona and Oregon for a funeral event. One of the youngsters in the group picked Squeeze In due primarily to Yelp reviews. My wife and I were very disappointed. The service was abrupt and a bit terse. Twice before we ordered, the server came to the table and burst out talking despite the fact there were numerous conversions going on which she interrupted. It also became obvious as we tried to chat after our meal that they desperately wanted to turn our table. This is not a place for a leisurely meal with chatting involved. Additionally our food left much to be desired. They put the red onions on almost all of their sandwich selections. It appears they don't know red onions are such a strong flavor it takes over almost all other flavors. My wife's and my fries were cold. My sandwich was very dry. We were not impressed. Additionally the prices seen a bit high. We are at a bistro in the Atlantis Resort the night before, which is not located in a strip mall like Squeeze In, and got better food, nicer service and it cost less. read more

Love this place, one of my favorite breakfast places in Reno. We used Yelp to add ourselves to the wait list while we drove to the restaurant. That made our wait very short once we got there. Our food as always was delicious. Service was super good for being a super busy Mothers Day. Love this place. Two Thumbs up Squeeze In! read more

Sup Everybody! Meh..Any breakfast place that doesn't have have hash browns to me is not a breakfast place..and no "Country Potatoes" are not "Like" hash browns...btw the country potatoes came out over cooked some were soft some were crispy some were just hard..for the portions it's a little over priced...staff was good OnPoint always came around every so often to check up on us...other then that I won't be back most likely..just gonna stick with PEGS... read more

So my fiancé and I were in Reno just for the weekend and I loved how this place had really good reviews. Honestly for me when it comes to food I'll check reviews and pictures first and this place did not lie to me by their reviews and pictures. Bomb ! Reminds me sort of Bills cafe but a lot better because they actually give you an option of portions to have and not leave anything behind. I loved it ! I'll definitely be coming back but to a closer location from home since now I know where they are located. read more

I've tried so hard to like this place, but every time someone takes me there I am completely underwhelmed. There is nothing special about the food. The omelettes they boast so much about are bland and freakishly expensive, as is everything else on the menu. read more

OK, It's a given that pretty much everyone has seen this place on the Food Networks show, Bobby Flay's Throwdown. He came here and had an omelet challenge, and all the sheep, my wife included wanted to try it out. Let me give you the laconic version. If you like paying double retail for mediocre food, then join the throngs of people going to the Squeeze In!! I have not been to the Truckee one, hopefully it can't be any worse than this one. (Truckee is a small town) The Squeeze In is located in a new strip mall in NW Reno. The staff on our Saturday morning visit was comprised mostly of cute college girls, or 20 something look a likes! They were friendly and enthusiastic. Between the wifeski and our boys, we ordered a grilled cheese, an order of french toast and a half order of biscuits and gravy, (the waitress strongly suggest I do a full order) my youngest ordered a fruit cup. The place was busy and the drones (clueless customers) just kept coming in. My B & G was forgettable! The poor excuse of a biscuit was dry and bland and if not smothered in gravy would of been even worse. The gravy was a bit thin and had some unusual herbs mixed in. (The B & G at the Nugget downtown Reno is superior, and half the price!) My significant others french toast look like it was dipped in batter for a nano second (the cooks must be smokin meth) before it hit the grill, it was dry and pretty much like bread that was heated on a grill. My sons grilled cheese was similar, in the fact that they did not butter it well and was dry everywhere except the very middle. The yellow cheese made Kraft American seem like a gourmet cheese. His fries were good though! I did not try the fruit cup. I know their claim to fame is their omelet's, but if they can't make basic breakfast fare like french toast and B & G, I can't imagine they have any other talents. The french toast was 7.99, and my half order of B & G was 5.49, with the full order being 7.49, it's less than 4.00 at most places. My wife felt regretful and stupid for wasting $40.00 (tax and tip) on breakfast. We won't be duped again! I give this place a year before the masses come out of the ether and dine elsewhere... read more

If you have been to the Squeeze In in Truckee, this one is nothing like it. The whole charm of that place was that you did have to "squeeze in" next to people while sitting and eating. The walls were full of signatures and drawings from the patrons over time. The food was worth waiting for. The new one in Northwest Reno is nothing like that. Sure, they write on the walls but it isn't the same. The servers seem sort of aloof, not friendly and the food I had wasn't that good - certainly not worth the high prices on the menu. Everyone - all the servers - told me to get the cream cheese stuffed french toast. It was awful! I would sooner have the one at IHop. Oh well though, at least now I know to get a great Squeeze In omlette and fun dining experience, I will have to drive to Truckee. read more

I have been to the One in truckee...About five years ago. Then I went to the one here in reno on opening day with my room mate. There was free champagne which made me very happy because I was hung over, and the atmosphere was really neat. There were notes on the wall written in permenant marker which I thought was cute and personable. However the prices are Outrageous! Not like denny's 5.99 specials. However, it was tasty. I had bacon and eggs, like always. And it came with really yummy whole grain toast. The service was awesome, they even took a pictue of us for their bulliton board or whatever. It was a nice experience! I think I need to go back soon for a different experience. read more

I don't get all the hype about this breakfast place. It is expensive considering it's breakfast and $3.29 for a cup of coffee or tea seems a bit steep. Writing on the wall, weird signs, etc., -maybe because it's a re-creation of what made the original so catchy and famous. Great?, no, but it's OK. read more

The omlette was ok. Nothing special about the eggs at all, bland even. Actually I found it was just overstuffed with ingredients and not especially appealing. My husband had pancakes and said he'd had better. You get a lot of food but I would have preferred more reasonable pricing and smaller portions. I didn't care for the omlette sauce. Service was very friendly and efficient. A slight mishap at the next table reesulting in a small amount of a drink splashing on my coat jacket. I didn't even realize it until they were cleaning up my jacket for me and then they comp'd our drinks. I thought they handled that very well. read more

Love this place!!!! Fun atmosphere, great service and awesome food. I can honestly say that I have never had something here that wasn't delicious. This morning I had the French toast. I loved it. It was lightly browned, fluffy, a little sweet and super yummy. It is something that I would recommend to anyone it is that good. read more

Showed up at 1.50p after oversleeping and stood around when the hostess disappeared. Was she getting me a table? No, it wasn't until she came back after waiting that she explained that they'd already closed down the grill, so no omelette for me. True I got there right at the end of their hours, but I was so ticked at being made to stand there without explanation that I think I'll be taking my future brunch business to Daughter's Cafe instead. read more

Why do people like this place?? It's overpriced and quite frankly, disgusting. I've tried it twice, as I always believe you have to give things a second chance before you start knocking it. Well, that second chance did it for me. The first time I tried Squeeze In, I had some low fat, cheese-less egg thing because I was actually following my diet. For what I got, I should have been charged $2.50, instead it was almost $20. At that point, I couldn't blame Squeeze In for this tasteless choice, I ordered the least flavorful and rewarding thing on the menu. Still, I've had far better and cheaper "diet" fare at Gold Dust West. The second (and last) time I tried Squeeze In, I thought I'd get something naughty to see if they can do taste well. This was the biggest mistake I've ever made. I got the "stuffed" French toast and I gagged down about two bites. Their idea of stuffed French toast is a slab of cold cream cheese between two thin, soggy pieces of toast. I really need to learn to be more assertive and demanding, because I actually paid for that barf fest. I should have demanded my money back. I could have made better "stuffed" French toast and I can barely boil water. Needless to say, I won't be going back. read more

Whoa, I have to say to all these people bagging on the "Squeeze" did you all come in there with a negative vibe, expecting the worst? I have been going to the Squeeze In since I was 5 years old and living in Truckee. I have to say that the Reno store rocks. Not only is it right next to my house, but the staff bends over backwards to make sure you get everything you want, and the food tastes delicious. The staff is ALWAYS helpful and whenever I go in there to dine, i feel like I'm part of the family. As far as the comment about "chickens clucking in the kitchen" fresh and quality food takes time. If your not willing to wait for a good meal, maybe Mc Donald's down the street would be a better match for you. Pretty much, this place is the best breakfast in the Tahoe area, if not all of California and Nevada. I highly recommend it when looking for a place for breakfast in Reno. read more

Another great spot for breakfast. Humongous plates that will not only fill you up, but leave you more than satisfied!

Oh what a night of working some overtime! So we thought we would treat ourselves to some breakfast. We both had never been to Squeeze In, but have been invited by co-workers to hit it up after work. But on our way we go...we finally have some time and more money to dine. TJ says: Wow! The inside of the restaurant was like a smack in the face. Interesting style of decoration. From the graffiti to the bicycle hanging on the ceiling. Not very feng shui. But on to the food. I ordered a Racy Tracy after much debating on whether i wanted an omelet or some pancakes. The omelet menu was massive but most of them consisted of 4 main ingredients. The Racy Tracy had Bacon, avocados, mushrooms, and cheese with home style potatoes and two small half slices of wheat toast. You get a choice of side sauces and I opted for the cheddar cheese sauce. I noticed that when the omelet came out, it was just a large scrambled egg on top of all the 4 main ingredients. Looked like they cooked the egg first and then had the cooked mixture put underneath it. Weird, I had to fork around to get an equal combination. Are omelets supposed to be mixed then cooked? I didn't like it as much as i thought i would. The potatoes with the cheese was ok also. Would the cheddar cheese sauce help save the Racy Tracy? Nope. Jenn says: Yellow walls covered in writing, lots of various stuff hanging everywhere. Looks like they are trying to make it abstract yet cozy? All the tables are various styles of kitchen tables. The Menu is gigantic and honestly for someone with a small attention span, such as I after working 13 hours..the decision was torture. The waitress, Natalie?, kept coming back. She was trying to be polite but I could tell she was peeved a little. Maybe they shouldn't have so many options! After the 3rd time time, she offered her suggestions. I part listened but was distracted. She had on these fake nails with blue tips and every time she suggested something she would wave her hand over the menu and in front of my face pretty much, like she was going to coax a decision out of the menu for me. Told us the "all time favorite, hands down" and the "man special" then told us about the un-omelet favorite. Seemed exaggerated, but then I was distracted by nails. I decided on the French Toast, plain. (Kay's Frenchie) While we waited, we looked at the writing on the wall, picked out a few swear words, a naked woman etched in outline and then a bikini added later. Something about baby making, Lots of comments on the food. Anything really, kinda fake. Fake is what I would describe some of the wait staff. Sometimes you go places and people are just too overly happy, too overly nice, like they are working hard for their tips. I felt that here. Overheard them trying to promote a savings club thing with a card to earn gift certificates. (which we were never offered) Food: Meh. Not the greatest french toast, but then again that's not their specialty. Too much egg on one side and way too dry in the middle, missing flavor, perhaps vanilla and cinnamon.Needed lots of syrup. I agree about the omelet. It was seriously a pile of mostly avocado, canned mushrooms, cheese and some fatty bacon with a slap of scrambled egg over the top of it. Nothing was mixed it. Tasted bland. Portion size adequate. Toast was itty bitty. Saw a few people sharing omelets, still decent size. TJ pretty much finished the plate by himself. (however TJ is a garbage disposal that keeps running) WHAT THE? If you don't order their beverages, you can serve yourself water from a pitcher that has been sitting on the table for how long. I didn't see them wash it in between patrons. They just refill it and bring it back from what I saw. Oh and help yourself... by pouring it into a paper cup on the table. I understand... water is free. But dang, I paid 8 bucks for some dry french toast and 12+ for some "omelet" creation... and I get a paper cup? Hmm I don't even use paper cups at home. They do however have actual silverware and not plastic forks. Our waitress just placed our check on the table and didn't say anything, didn't offer us the little club deal thing or thank us. Said nothing! Pretty Rude. Conclusion: Pretty expensive but lots of options for ingredients and an egg patty. Seems fake, earlier described by others. They have a menu on their website, HOWEVER prices are about $1 more now. It's also located in a strip mall where there are lots of vacate shops. We will most likely not return. There are better places for cheaper. Need to drop the prices with this economy! read more

Mom and I always split the Racy Tracy omlete because the portions are so huge. Sometimes we will go there for lunch and split the tuna melt. Again, huge portions! The service is always good, too, and we like the funky ambience. We have the Squeeze In rewards card and it definately pays off! They send us $10 rewards periodically. Oftentimes, we'll meet our California relatives at the Truckee, CA Squeeze In. The food is very consistant and yummy at both restaurants. Recently, I attended a fundraiser for the Tahoe Rim Trail. The Squeeze In generously donated a $100 gift card, which I purchased in the silent auction. As often as we frequent the Squeeze In, I knew that gift card wouldn't go to waste! read more

Had breakfast on Saturday morning here. As always food was amazing! What pleased me more was how well the staff was practicing safety measures for prevention of the Coronavirus. Social distancing, wiping down menus after each use, disinfecting tables and condiments as each guest left. Also employees washing their hands after bussing tables. Employees were monitoring each other and letting the person know if they missed something. All this being done with smiles on their face. Very impressive!!!! read more

The place in Tahoe was almost famous, fantastic, and so is this one. I don't even eat omelets, and everything here is good to me. The service is good, and you can tell they are careful about who they hire. The owner is very friendly, and likes to take the time to talk with people throughout the restaurant. Good food in Reno is hard to come by, and it's nice that they have finally made their way to Reno. Five stars, within the reference frame of Reno. read more

Man was that disappointing. I hadn't been to Squeeze in, in about a year and was really looking forward to going back. So I woke up early (for me) today and rolled in for some good grub. What a waste! I got the scrambled eggs, bacon, juice, hash browns and the french toast. I wasn't happy with ANY of it. The scrambled eggs were the most edible but tasted like they had no salt in them at all. The bacon was inedible, they par cook it then microwave it to order so it becomes rubbery and gross. I should have gotten the sausage instead. The hash browns were in dire need of salt and had WAY too much pepper in them. Lastly the french toast, which I was really looking forward to, was so sad. I could tell the bread didn't get enough time to soak in the custard because there were large dry pockets, also the cook covered one side of the toast with a cinnamon sugar mix that became a kind of rock-candy hard crust that was inedible and hurt my teeth. Overall I ended up paying $14 + tip for a small OJ and 2 scrambled eggs since I only picked at the rest of the plate. Again, this made me very sad since I had fond memories of this place and I could have gotten the same quality food for half the price at any greasy-spoon, or better yet could have made it myself. read more

We were disappointed~it didn't come even CLOSE to all the hype and reviews praising this place...maybe we just went on an off morning? The service was great, though I had to ask the busboy if I could have some more toast~our waitress was really busy with the large party next to us. Other than that, she was the best part of the experience. She was attentive and patient when I was overwhelmed with the menu! I decided on my favorite at another breakfast spot that we frequent regularly, and so ordered "Nicki's Big Fat Greek Omelette". What a pale comparison it was...They were really heavy on the spinach and I LIKE spinach, just not clumps and clumps of spinach. It supposedly also came with pesto but since I forgot all about it, I didn't miss it until I came to the last couple of bites and HELLO, Pesto!!! And to think I hadn't even noticed it... I would have appreciated way more feta cheese( they were pretty skimpy on that) but the thing I missed most was just plain, simple flavor. Everything was so bland, and that includes the Huevos Montana that the husband ordered. We both added salt, pepper, tomato-pesto sauce, salsa, Cholula, and anything else we could find to season our meal, but then it just tasted like salt, pepper, tomato-pesto, salsa and Cholula on tasteless, blah food. I also ordered rye toast and if I hadn't faintly seen itty-bitty specks of what was MAYBE rye seeds, I would never have known it was rye. It was as vanilla-tasting as the rest of the meal. If we didn't have a coupon for $10.00 off I would've been way more disappointed, but I figured we gave it a shot. The most redeeming feature was my husband's sense of child-like awe when he realized that the gentleman sitting beside us was none other than Chris Ault (or a hell of a good lookalike), eating blueberry pancakes. He stared at him the entire time until I finally kicked him under the table and hissed," STOP STARING!" That did the trick, and definitely made the experience memorable...too bad, because we were so excited to try it. read more

It's real WRONG that when I used a gift card given to me and used a birthday promotion they had, they refused my gift card when it was time to pay. That's crap. I've been to the Truckee location several times and was excited to hit the Reno one. I wasn't as impressed with it. First, at least three parties that arrived after us were seated before we were. We ended up getting seated next to the door to the patio so there was a lot of traffic and it was way hot with the sun (no curtain) and the door constantly opening. Second, we sat for a long time before our orders were taken. There was at least one table that was served before us that was seated way after we were. Lastly, the coffee was burnt but they were great about just swapping it out. Unfortunately, I got a dirty cup. The good news, the servers were friendly and pretty attentive. The food was up to the usual high standards. Not sure I'll come back to this one. read more
