Located right in front of hotel so we decided to try. Arrived around 9am on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating available. Upon entering, you are greeted by two Parrots and it gives you a moment to just interact with the birds. We were seated right away and taken our drink order. This place gives off a more older vibe. I felt like I was at someone Grandparents house with old furniture, pet Parrots and garden vibes. I loved it! Now the food unfortunately was a complete miss. I ordered grits, turkey sausage and eggs. I could not finish my plate. The grits tasted very bland and they tasted like sand and had that same sand consistency to them. The eggs and sausage lacked flavor also and they tasted more like rubber. The pancakes were very flat and fluffy and they did not taste good. I did not finish my meal and was disappointed. Not sure if we just came on a off morning or what, but I dont believe I would return. read more

I searched on yelp restaurants to grab food, I was really looking for dinner spots but we needed brunch first and I've been eyeing this place for a few years on my annual trips. I did notice it closed within the next 45 minutes. Luckily it was a straight shot from our hotel just a 3 minute drive which was very convenient with plenty of parking. When we walked in we were greeted by a few live birds. My mom tried talking to them but they were silent. We were greeted immediately by the hostess and sat right down. Our server came over within seconds and provided our drinks very fast. The menu was very easy to read and not over crowded kind of reminds me of Bob Evans. I ended up ordering a few sides, corned beef hash and 1 biscuit with gravy. What surprised me was the crispy bottom of the biscuit which was amazing and even better they cut the biscuit in the middle and put some gravy through it. And it was still so fluffy! My sister ordered the French toast special and mom ordered the spring garden special. All were filling and delicious. read more

The server was nice however we noticed it took a while to get our drinks and the server mentioned people called out of work so she was all over the place. The food was ok. First thing I noticed when walking in the door was that it smelled of piss... My mom said "no that's the smell of syrup and pancakes" but my boyfriend and I smelled pee... The French toast was very good. But that's all I ordered because I was scared of anything else. My parents went here the day before and my mom said the French toast was good. So I trusted her and they were your average run of the mill diner French toasts. The servers were very friendly and attentive. But I will warn you there is someone walking around to "take a free photo, complimentaries of the restaurant". He was just doing his job. I feel bad for him cause other customers were being rude... It's your typical diner serving breakfast and lunch items. This was located only a 4 minute walk from our vacation condo, so we made the trip and it was worth it! The eggs were absolutely disgusting, they tasted rubbery and I don't know how or why but the pancakes did not taste like pancakes. I think the only thing that was edible was the French toast. I was not impressed at all with this place. The bacon was horrible. Not sure if it was the seasoning which bacon don't need season or if it was old. It was far over cooked. The food quality was really good - I got the bacon breakfast sandwich and home fries with cheese and both were pretty good. The atmosphere was like any other breakfast place except the cute birds in the front doorway. The wait time was very quick - was seated right away and got our food fairly quickly - we went around 11:30 and there were only a few tables of people seated. We were out of there before noon. Ordered coffee. My cup came with the spoon already in it. So I left it there as not to cool down the next cup when I stirred it. However, when we finished eating, I was gatherIng the silverware, removed the spoon from my cup, placed it in my mouth to get the coffee off & realized old green & brown food was on the back of it. I had a sandwich & fries. When I showed it to the waitress, she scratched it off & walked away without even offering me more coffee. We had to wait a long time to speak to the manager. He was so rude. I visit often because my daughter is a student at Coastal Carolina University. He recognized me from when he was the manager at Econo Lodge. He was rude then too as he was today. We watched him treating other patrons poorly too. He only offered to take off the price of the coffee. I feel like this was ridiculous. My family has been going there for years & we've NEVER been treated like this!! They need a new manager!! I left feeling so upset. The owner needs to know wha's going on there. While our server Melissa was on her game and very kind I have to that unfortunately the kitchen was not on theirs. We had a very simple order of french toast and I waited over 30 minutes for it to come out. When it finally did I was disappointed. The bread for the french toast was still bread (not dipped in an egg mixture like french toast should be) so I basically waited 30 minutes to eat bread with butter and syrup. I will not return or recommend this place. read more

The environment and atmosphere of the inside was like walking into 1989. Fake plants EVERYWHERE and too many. There are 2 birds that are in the front room which was just weird. Lots of tacky signs that say 'DON'T TOUCH, BIRDS BITE'. The birds don't really interact. They just sit there. The whole situation was sad. The food is your normal high sodium, high cholesterol, southern cooking. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. The wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful. read more
