Snooty folks don't come! This is a finger licking place. A dated long time great buffet spot that can get very busy. Seats over 200 folks. Closed Monday's, check out daily specials first. I came for fried chicken livers....oh so good. Also had fried pork chops, pull pork, shrimp, flownder, meat loaf and fried chicken. Great salad bar which I skip, to filling. Normal sides. Fresh Rolls. Table service is very good and ladies hussel, today we had Sonya. Wheelchairs do not work well in restrooms. Over 200 good places to eat in MB but this should be one you try for sure! Very fair priced.

Came to the buffet on a Tuesday. It was empty but the place filled up quickly. All you can eat. Fried chicken. Sweet potatoes. Meatloaf. Chicken n dumplings Salad bar. Hot veggies . Desserts All yummy!

Haven't seen this option in a while! Gave the collard greens that extra kick.

This place is so good we came here twice and just know, I DON'T do that. When I'm in a new place I…read morewant to try it all. But The Claw House put up a good argument justifying both visits. Our first and second visit consisted mostly of the same things: Oysters and Calamari to start, Seafood Mac & Cheese and Fish & Chips. I had the lettuce wraps, which are big, so share. And I had Crab Cakes. The wraps were good but they needed a better aioli in my opinion, because it became a sort of watery dressing instead of something sturdier. And the pico de gallo was not actually that. It was diced tomato, onion and had zero taste of lime, salt or spicy. It was fine but could have been killer. My hubby had the Clam Chowder, Pan Seared Grouper and the shrimp Po Boy. He loved the grouper, risotto and the chowder. The fish was flaky and seasoned well. The po boy needed more sauce but was really delicious. My daughter (16) needed a seafood break since she had the fish and chips the first visit and went with the Claw House Burger. She said it was seasoned and that it was indeed 1/4 lb. And Fish & Chips was the best she had had (which, she's had an incredible amount for her young age) -- not too much breading, nice crisp on the outside and juicy fish. The fries both nights were a little chewy but the flavor was there. And how can I forget. Even though on the second night we saw at least five tables start with the Crab Nachos we added a third item, Fried Clam Strips. Those were ridiculously good. I'm not a fan of tartar sauce so I ate it without and it was perfect on its own. Everything was fresh, they paid attention to detail in most individual elements and the location sent it over the top. Definitely worth a visit.

A table of 4 sat a few minutes before we did and a table of 6 sat probably 10 minutes after them. Our table and the table of 6 were served before the group of 4 who had to ask a bus boy for service. Yikes! Server was sweet besides the empty non alcoholic beverage glasses she did not fill when our food came out. She didn't come back to check in on us until my husband's 6 bites of dinner were already gone. I asked if the portion is usually that small (especially in comparison to the significantly cheaper - MASSIVE PORTIONS we saw being served all around us) and she politely said "yes. typically, sometimes a little bigger." As someone with a culinary arts degree & kitchen background I was very very very disappointed on the portion size of his entree for the price & sizes of surrounding entrees being served (that were cheaper or around the same price) and it literally ruined my entire experience. A smidge dramatic but the God's honest truth! Great view, beautiful patio, friendly service - just extremely disappointed. I planned to order both of us dessert and immediately skipped out & asked for the check when the server finally came over to ask how our food was. This review is hot & cold because my experience was. Would I recommend it? I'd recommend going for the best oysters in Myrtle and a clean, friendly facility - but that's about all I can say! PS - $3 "destination fee?" Clearly I'm not from around here, but it was the only restaurant from north Myrtle down to Murrells to charge us a fee for eating there as a tourist.

I know when I walk in how much it is but what I don't like and think is Very Scammy is the $7.00 "Service Fee" and the 11% tax rate which yes I know you can charge in a tourist area, but why do it?? Just do the 6%. So added to my bill was $27 that was not expected. That's just seem like a scam to me. If it's gratuity for the waitress cause people don't tip on buffets, that's one thing but what's the service charge for?

Came on 7/18/26 at 6 pm, a Saturday, after seeing the largely raving reviews on Google (4.6 out of nearly 20,000 people). I had also looked up this place on Yelp beforehand and saw the ratings, which raised some red flags. We had been to Crabby Mike's and their yelp reviews were not stellar either, so we figured we would give them a shot. We arrived, and there was almost no one there on a Saturday night. Red flag #2. We went inside. What appeared to be management was up front with the hostess watching today's World Cup game (France v England). Red flag #3. It wasnt that busy so we just brushed it aside. Atmosphere was nice with several animatronics throughout. Server was nice and gave us our options. Now when it came to the food, it quickly went downhill. The sushi they did have was the saddest Ive seen (the tiniest sliver of meat and the rest was rice). The prime rib was just for looks. The crabs were largely overcooked. The seasoning on any of the fried items was just flour and a binder. If there was salt or other kind of seasoning, i certainly could not taste it or see it in the breading. Shrimp was not cleaned and deveined, which is not the seasoning i was looking for. Many of the items that did have flavor (mussels, crab imperial, deviled crab) were never in stock. The rest of the food was largely Sysco frozen items like mozzarella sticks and popcorn shrimp. Largely disappointed. Check came $52 / person with a 3.75% service fee tacked on. If a seafood buffet is what youre looking for, skip this place and opt for Crabby Mike's instead.

The only slight negative for me is that the remoulade tasted too sweet for my liking, but that's such a minor thing. Can't wait to come back to Pawleys and come here!

Those that had Shrimp and Grits commented that the grits were fantastic but the shrimp (that were ordered grilled) had cajun seasoning on them like blacked shrimp - which was not what they were expecting. I had the She Crab Soup followed by a nightly special, Red Drum stuffed with a crab cake. The soup was OK but I didn't actually find any crab in it and it was kinda bland. The Drum was just awful - I should have sent it back but being in a large group I didn't want to hold everyone up. The stuffed Drum was the most expensive thing on the menu. It was tough, dry and WAY overcooked. The top of the Crab cake stuffing was burnt black. I suspect the dish had been cooked a day or two ago and simply reheated. Our waitress was wonderful, fast, efficient and got everyone's order right. She even put the TV on the Atlanta Braves game for us. I would probably try this place again, but I'd just order something fried.

They had a few different bars that you could order at, with the main one being inside, another little hut outside, and a cash bar next to that. They also had a pretty cool live band, with a viewing patio right in front of the stage. In regards to my visit to Hot Fish, I'd say I was most impressed with the bartenders at the establishment, who did a great job under pressure. Even though the place was packed, and especially the bar area, they did a great job of remaining calm, and even got our drinks out in a relatively quick period of time. They also made some awesome blue Gatorade shots, which were some of the best shots I've ever had! I didn't necessarily love that there were cops standing guard at the entrance, but the bar's own security staff and bouncers were really nice, which isn't something you see at every one of these places. The only downsides to the Hot Fish Club were that many of the plastic chairs in the outside area were broken and cracked, making it kind of hard to sit a large-sized group like ours (they had a lot of wooden tables, but they were all taken), and that the restroom situation was awful. According to the girls in our group, the actual, physical restrooms were disgusting, forcing them to use the giant line of porta potties. This isn't a huge deal for guys, but it was a little uncomfortable for the ladies. Other than that, Hot Fish was great, and I'd highly recommend stopping by!
