Best, period enough said , always tasty, just like my family farm meals growing up, selection is many from meats to veggies to salad to desert, most welcome i have ever felt from the bgrouo that eats breakfast on the weekends and visits to Pattie and the ladies serving us Taylor her sisters and they let me sit at same table , funny how i get territorial in my old age. 5 stars cause all uou can award

Here's an example of an area where people eat. Nice and roomy great country music.

Tried this local hidden gem! The atmosphere of the restaurant was great. Nice open tables great windows to look outside and great weight staff. The food is great! They have a mini salad bar : lettuce, tomato, cucumber, beets, potato salad, crab salad, homemade crispy, croutons, and multiple dressings just to say a little bit about the mini salad bar. The main all you can eat food bar : chicken, bog, chicken and dumplings, rice, pulled pork fried to perfection hush puppies fried fish, fried shrimp, Salisbury, steak and gravy, you name it they have it. Everything well spiced and great country flavor. Dessert : banana pudding, Oreo, cookie pie and self-serve ice cream. All you can eat! Great price plus they also offer beverages soda tea. Great local spot give it a try.

After the location was the long standing Prosser's, then the inlet BBQ for a hot minute, now it's Back Home BBQ. It's simple Low Country cooking that will fill your belly with typical southern fare. My two favorite dishes on the buffet were the homemade macaroni and cheese, and probably the best sweet potato casserole I've ever tasted. Arrived just before the local rush of locals, charter Captains, local workers, and tourist. Though there are many restaurants to choose on the famous Murrells Inlet walkway, most are geared for tourists, and charge premium prices to maintain their elaborate establishments. But when you want to eat actual Southern cooking, this is it for the area. Simply Southern BBQ is for Myrtle Beach what Back Home BBQ is for Murrells Inlet. So come down, find a table, get your sweet tea, and enjoy an actual home cooked meal. Cannot give better praise then that!

Barbecue, dumplings, fried shrimp and greens! So many items to pick from but these are my favorite.

Our first and second visit consisted mostly of the same things: Oysters and Calamari to start, Seafood Mac & Cheese and Fish & Chips. I had the lettuce wraps, which are big, so share. And I had Crab Cakes. The wraps were good but they needed a better aioli in my opinion, because it became a sort of watery dressing instead of something sturdier. And the pico de gallo was not actually that. It was diced tomato, onion and had zero taste of lime, salt or spicy. It was fine but could have been killer. My hubby had the Clam Chowder, Pan Seared Grouper and the shrimp Po Boy. He loved the grouper, risotto and the chowder. The fish was flaky and seasoned well. The po boy needed more sauce but was really delicious. My daughter (16) needed a seafood break since she had the fish and chips the first visit and went with the Claw House Burger. She said it was seasoned and that it was indeed 1/4 lb. And Fish & Chips was the best she had had (which, she's had an incredible amount for her young age) -- not too much breading, nice crisp on the outside and juicy fish. The fries both nights were a little chewy but the flavor was there. And how can I forget. Even though on the second night we saw at least five tables start with the Crab Nachos we added a third item, Fried Clam Strips. Those were ridiculously good. I'm not a fan of tartar sauce so I ate it without and it was perfect on its own. Everything was fresh, they paid attention to detail in most individual elements and the location sent it over the top. Definitely worth a visit.

A table of 4 sat a few minutes before we did and a table of 6 sat probably 10 minutes after them. Our table and the table of 6 were served before the group of 4 who had to ask a bus boy for service. Yikes! Server was sweet besides the empty non alcoholic beverage glasses she did not fill when our food came out. She didn't come back to check in on us until my husband's 6 bites of dinner were already gone. I asked if the portion is usually that small (especially in comparison to the significantly cheaper - MASSIVE PORTIONS we saw being served all around us) and she politely said "yes. typically, sometimes a little bigger." As someone with a culinary arts degree & kitchen background I was very very very disappointed on the portion size of his entree for the price & sizes of surrounding entrees being served (that were cheaper or around the same price) and it literally ruined my entire experience. A smidge dramatic but the God's honest truth! Great view, beautiful patio, friendly service - just extremely disappointed. I planned to order both of us dessert and immediately skipped out & asked for the check when the server finally came over to ask how our food was. This review is hot & cold because my experience was. Would I recommend it? I'd recommend going for the best oysters in Myrtle and a clean, friendly facility - but that's about all I can say! PS - $3 "destination fee?" Clearly I'm not from around here, but it was the only restaurant from north Myrtle down to Murrells to charge us a fee for eating there as a tourist.

Oysters Rockefeller were perfect. The blue cheese dressing is garlicky, homemade deliciousness. Excellent crab cakes and grilled sheepshead. The only slight negative for me is that the remoulade tasted too sweet for my liking, but that's such a minor thing. Can't wait to come back to Pawleys and come here!

Those that had Shrimp and Grits commented that the grits were fantastic but the shrimp (that were ordered grilled) had cajun seasoning on them like blacked shrimp - which was not what they were expecting. I had the She Crab Soup followed by a nightly special, Red Drum stuffed with a crab cake. The soup was OK but I didn't actually find any crab in it and it was kinda bland. The Drum was just awful - I should have sent it back but being in a large group I didn't want to hold everyone up. The stuffed Drum was the most expensive thing on the menu. It was tough, dry and WAY overcooked. The top of the Crab cake stuffing was burnt black. I suspect the dish had been cooked a day or two ago and simply reheated. Our waitress was wonderful, fast, efficient and got everyone's order right. She even put the TV on the Atlanta Braves game for us. I would probably try this place again, but I'd just order something fried.

The second time, later that same day, I ordered (upon the recommendation by their awesome employees Sam and Erin) their "Surf and Turf Tacos". There's plenty of both inside and outside seating at this Murrell's Inlet waterside establishment. We were outside (which is actually all covered) at the bar which provides great views of the water. Oh yeah, and as one passes through the inside dining on the way to the outdoor bar, be sure to glance to the walls on your right that are covered with dog pictures and photos. Nice! The staff are friendly and helpful. Sam and Erin were working their buttooskies off getting drinks and orders for everyone at the bar and still had time to occasionally stop and chat with the patrons at the bar. Prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere is laidback and friendly, and the food is great! I highly recommend you check them out. In my future bike travels, if I ever return to the Myrtle Beach area, I'm making this a must visit!

That was exactly how a crab cake should be made and the texture was perfect. Our party had every iteration of oysters you can get and they were all great. They were accommodating for a member of our party with celiac and her food was exactly what she was promised. Other points of note: Bar service was quick and friendly. The hostesses promptly accommodated our party of 10. The straps on the high chair actually worked (if you're a parent then you know what I mean).
