Brisket burnt ends!

Still a no nonsense place with some of the best BBQ in the area. Ribs and wings are spot on as is the potato salad and slaw. Nice bar with TV's tuned to sports and daily happy hour. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and well lit. I'll be a regular soon.

This place was great when they first opened. Now, however, it's gotten so bad I'll not return. Too bad. It was a promising bbq joint.

When visiting for a family beach trip, we decided to try this beloved seafood buffet. Along the strip in Myrtle Beach, the roads are lined with a plethora of Seafood Buffets ranging from small family owned to large attraction-like restaurants. Without having tried any of the other options, I would say this has to be the best in town. The atmosphere, staff, variety of food offerings, and taste were unmatched. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique buffet experience. The exterior of this restaurant is massive and felt like a large Shopping Center with beautiful landscaping, water features, beautiful windows, and colorful siding. Upon arrival, we were asked at the door our party size. They had two entry lines based on table sizes. Since our party was four, we were sent to the shorter line and did not even have to wait to be seated. As we were walked to our table, we passed massive sailing ships complete with rows of hot and cold foods. The ceiling was reminiscent of the ocean skies. The entire restaurant felt like an experience already. I was amazed by the theming, cleanliness, and attention to details. For adults, the buffet is right around $50/person + drinks and tax. The buffet is all-you-can-eat with mutiple serving lines placed around the vast dining hall. As a picky eater, I was honestly a little worried that the offerings would primarily be seafood options; however, I was happily surprised that the buffet line had a LARGE selection ranging from Chicken Tenders and Fries to Pulled Pork and Macaroni and Cheese. I was actually very excited to find so many of my favorite foods and be able to eat just a little of them all! Some other offerings I added to my plate include hush puppies, corn on the cob, fried fish sticks, rolls, and cheddar biscuits all in one trip. My brother is more adventurous in his selection and was able to try different fish and crab legs with multiple trips. They had almost two whole buffet areas filled with seafood dishes that I didn't even visit. His favorite was just the shrimp! They also have a whole dessert room with a wide range of sweet dishes. To be honest, some of the food was mediocre or tasted similar to standard buffet-food-quality. The macaroni was a little bland. The fries were a little soggy. However, the restaurant was so busy that food was being rotated and changed out quickly on the buffet line. Overall, the entire experience was fun and unique. The restaurant was very expensive for a family of four, especially when you're not eating over the top or making multiple trips; however, the nautical theming, food selections, and service set this buffet apart from many others. You'll find something to eat whether you're picky or love the most adventurous of seafood dishes.

Kicked off the meal with some grouper bites. Wasn't sure what to expect from them, but pleasantly surprised. They were lightly battered. The grouper was light and flaky and really delicious. They give you a sauce called "Yum Yum" so dipping them in the sauce was a nice touch. Kicked off the meal with a nice fresh side salad with raspberry vinaigrette. Nicely done. Went with the blackened salmon dinner on rice. The server was terrific and very attentive and the meal came out quick and hot. The blackened salmon wasn't overly blackened. The fish was not fishy tasting. The rice and the steamed veggies were both terrific. Slide a cocktail in your hand and just kick back and relax. This is an excellent place.

Service was good with exception of having to go up to the bar to get by soda refilled. On the food, my wife ordered Clam Chowder and a fried Shrimp and Oyster basket. She said that the tasted mostly potatoes and little clam in the chowder. Her other issue was that the Oysters weren't fried enough for her. My granddaughter ordered Chicken pasta-she said it had a strange taste and didn't like it. I tasted it and there was a strong peppery taste that was off putting. I had Raw oysters which were fine and blackened grouper which was overcooked but okay. Just not as good as I heard and a price of $120 for 2 adults and 1 child.

My boyfriend and I walked into Flamingo Grill hoping to have dinner and left almost immediately…read morebecause of the way we were treated. We were dressed casually in shorts, T-shirts, and sandals--which, considering this is Myrtle Beach and the restaurant is only a couple miles from the beach, didn't seem remotely inappropriate. The atmosphere itself is casual, with motorcycles and a Fonzie cutout, so we certainly weren't walking into what appeared to be a five-star fine-dining restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were basically ignored. When my boyfriend finally asked about seating, the woman who appeared to be the manager responded, "For tonight?" in a tone and with an expression that made us feel like we had asked a ridiculous question. The host then proceeded to cut her eyes at us. The entire interaction felt unnecessarily judgmental and condescending. I'm a bar manager myself, so I understand the service industry very well. If there was no availability, a simple, "Unfortunately, we're fully booked tonight," would have been completely understandable. What I don't understand is making potential customers feel unwelcome or beneath your establishment based on how they happen to be dressed. And that's the thing about working in hospitality: you never know who is walking through your door. We were fully prepared to spend good money on dinner, drinks, and leave a generous tip. Instead, after seeing how we were being treated, I grabbed my boyfriend's hand and said, "No, we aren't spending our money here," and we left. You can have great food, but hospitality starts before the first drink or plate ever reaches the table. Making guests feel judged the second they walk through the door is a great way to make sure they spend their money somewhere else. On that note, we to Fiesta Mexicana next door and they had exceptional customer service, great food, and a very welcoming vibe! I highly recommend.

The black ceiling made it loom dark and dingy, the walls needed painting they had chunks missing, and the paintings were awful with no rhyme or reason. It gave a low end vibe for an expensive place. Decor and signs were poor, needed a huge facelift. There was also diner style booths which is not classy for the vibe of a high end restaurant. Our server Troy also did not do the best. He kept making little comments to everything in a very unprofessional manner. He told us he was one inconvenience from quitting then laughed by himself it was awkward. He told the older nice lady next to us "Oh it is your birthday? I'd sing you happy birthday but I don't want to" Who says that? He also just make weird comments constantly. He also couldn't answer questions would have to constantly go ask or answer while walking away. He also told us to take longer to order because he has 3 tables and it's a lot to handle.... The food was very overpriced for what it was. The lobster was a rip off not even a full meal, maybe the size of an app. The filet mignon and steak diane were pretty good at least! The elk was good but super chewy. For the price I expected higher end dishes. The house-made creme brûlée was wonderful though! For the anniversary we had it on the reservation and mentioned it and not once did anyone say happy anniversary which was really sad. A small gesture goes a long way. I think overall the waiter fell short and so did the food and atmosphere. I gave it a 3 for the two good meals and the dessert but I personally would not go back. The meal was not worth $300 at all. Also the place was close to empty for needing reservations. We found a local person nearby after who also told us it isn't the greatest, I wish we knew beforehand. I was disappointed that this was my parents anniversary and hope that they revamp for people in the future!
