This location is pretty much the same as any Firehouse Subs location you've frequented. Its seems to always have customers and the two times I've been here, they've had 4 people working. Subs are made to order and they have lots of different sauces and condiments at the counter that you can grab to work with to augment your sammich. The folks in here aren't the fastest ever and this last trip in I ordered my sub to go and it was served to me as an eat in...both big deal, they boxed it up, but the counter girl at the register messed that up. Tip...follow their Facebook page for their "name of the day" which can earn you a free medium sub of your choosing with any purchase...you just have to show i.d. that your name matches the name of the day. After not eating at Firehouse for close to a year, I decided to use my free sub birthday reward and try it out again. And I'm sorry that I did. I wish I could rate the food. This was an online order. I went in, and it's not on the rack. The manager was there, or who I believe was the manager, and proceeded to ask my name. Upon looking around, they informed me they did not have the order, and proceeded to continue doing what they were doing. Now, I don't expect them to drop everything. But I do expect to be served. An order is missing. Make it right. Ask what the order was, and make it. Or in the off chance that somebody else took it off the rack, remake it. Ask to see my order history. I can pull it up in the app. But nope, all she said was "we don't have it" and walked away. You don't have it? That's your answer? I'm glad it was a free sub. Because that's a bad answer no matter what, but worse if it involves money. Funny that this is the very same location I had a negative experience at almost a year ago. I guess nothing has changed. If Firehouse wants to make this right, reload my account with my free birthday sub. Since I'm now out that reward and didn't get a sub either. read more

This place is awful and I will not be coming back. As an 11 year old I can usually wait a little while and just sit around in my phone, or do whatever really. So I did that and 15 minutes passed. Didn't think about it that much. Then it hit 25 minutes then 30 and me and my family and friends were still waiting for our food. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for 3 sandwiches. I do not appreciate their work effort on this trip. I love very close to this restaurant and I really like the food, but I don't think I will be coming back. I LOVE Firehouse Subs! They make, in my mind, the BEST sandwich at any franchise sub shop. I always get the large hook and ladder sub (without onions) and that first bite takes me places. My sub was prepared fresh in just a few minutes even though there were others ordering as well. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I just walked out of this sorry excuse for a sub place ten minutes ago. I walked in alone, order a simple small steamer sub with small potato salad side combo deal and time on my receipt says 5:16, she asks my name I sit down and wait... and wait... and wait... It's now 5: 46 and I see walk ins who came in after me getting their meals and leaving, whole large family sit downs getting served who came in well after me... few more minutes I walk up to the register and ask if there is a problem with my order, the tall heavy set far from cheerful black girl who took my order with an attitude that screams she thinks the world owes her something checks and says simply "you're next up" with an attitude... I worked in NYC for over 20 years before moving here, I know BS when I see and hear it. More people who ordered after me get their food and walk out... Knew it. I wait ANOTHER 15 MINUTES making it over and HOUR total, now I'm seething, I walk back up to the order register and an older lady behind the counter thank god with a much better demeanor, sweet, tends to me and I told her "I want a refund Iv'e been standing here over an hour, people walked in after me are long gone and some sat and ate and left already, I came up here once already asking whats going on and was lied to!" She begins processing the refund and says "we've been telling people it's about a 40 minute wait" , I replied, "Well no one said anything like that to me! Giver me my refund and let me out of here!"... and another lady who was tired of this nonsense was behind me looking for a refund too!... saying "No one said that to me either! I want one too!" There are at least 6 people behind that counter, what the hell are they doing, slaughtering the cow and processing it!?!?! It's just deli meat! Pastrami warmed up with mustard sauce on it on bread! A scoop of potato salad! I've gotten effing full Filet Mignon dinner at Ruth's Chris with mixed drinks in HALF this time! LITERALLY Total waste of over an hour by the time I got the hell out of there, went next door to the Japanese Hibachi place and ate better anyway. I am not a vacationer and live very close by. This place is like a Quiznos (everything toasted), and the meat is decent - but like Quiznos, and other wanna-be sub places, the meat/cheese is pre portioned and meat is steamed. Firehouse subs was great! It was fresh and the bread was really good. It was one of the better chains I've had for subs. I had it in Myrtle Beach and now I've seen two pop up in Michigan that were not there before. It looks like this is a booming franchise and I'm glad I got to try it! Went in to pick up food like every other time I have. I use the app and apparently this time the app sent food to a different location other than the one that was closest to me (I had never had this happen) Not one of the employees helped whatsoever with going through this situation other than telling me I had to go to the location it was sent to, to get a refund. Luckily, I contacted the other store, they were kind and helped refund me over the phone rather than driving 45 min to go there like the Manager had told me at this location. I was so angry I didn't even reorder food from there like the Manager had told me I would have to do (not a problem!) My boyfriend went ahead and reordered food anyways and when he got it, even after verbally telling them no BBQ sauce on his brisket sandwich,, it of course was still on there. Shit service, and apparently can't build a sand which even when the order is given to them face to face 30 seconds before making it. Will never eat Firehouse again, especially if that's how their management staff deals with minimal issues like just calling the other store to tell them there is a mistake. read more

I ordered a cheesesteak and it took 14 minutes to get my sub. 2 other people got their subs before me who had purchased after me. When I questioned the delay, the girl didn't say anything. She just went and finally got the meat out of the cooker and prepared the sub. I said it shouldn't take this long and others shouldn't be given their food before mine. Did you guys forget the order. Still no response from her besides "do you want mayo?" And the when she finally have it to me she said have a good day and I was like, how about sorry for the delay. Still nothing. Terrible service. They have forever ruined my opinion on their subs due to terrible customer service. Just apologize for the delay. Offer me a free soda or chips or something. Usually an empty eatery is an eerie omen. However, I came away impressed with this establishment. The service was excellent and relatively quick. Not Subway speed but a speed associated with precision and care. I tried the engineer, steak and cheese, and the steamer. The engineer was a pleasant but subtle sandwich with not one thing standing out but a delectable combination. The steak and cheese was predictable and tasty but forgettable. The tiny pieces of chopped steak fell to the ground during consumption. The standout sandwich was the steamer. The pastrami and beef brisket combined with the Italian dressing and mustard for a salty and savory treat. I definitely recommend this sandwich and would probably visit Firehouse more if not for the price per size ratio. A medium sandwich for around 6 dollars isn't bad but it does leave you feeling unsatisfied compared with that of Subway despite the admitted blandness. Anyway, if you haven't tried Firehouse and love subs you won't be disappointed! read more
