Quick service friendly employees my only complaint was that our french fries were not crisp.

The restroom was unkempt. The sink needed cleaning and toilet paper plus hand towels were scattered on the floor. In the main dining room there were napkins and food crumbs on the floor plus tables with grease smudges from the food. One drink dispenser was malfunctioning. The service was acceptable with the other being ready in less than 6 minutes. The burger was hot juicy and correctly cooked. The lettuce and onions were crisp. The tomato was unripe and had no taste. The fries were hot unevenly cooked and too greasy for me. I would recommend takeout as the in dining experience was not acceptable. read more

Spent many years eating at the North Myrtle Beach establishment and have seen a turn for the worst yesterday. While the service is standard the food was "Terrible". The cheeseburger was over cooked with a burnt taste. The fries had no taste at all. It seems that there may have been a management change and new workers. Observing the open kitchen, you can see the confusion among the workers and their conversations. The kitchen area was a mess; the front of the house required a sweep. Just because you move the tables around in the establishment doesn't make the food right. The franchise needs to get on top of this mess because it doesn't take much for your customers to find another place to spend their money, $11.00 for a cheeseburger and over $5.00 for fry's is high enough and the quality of the product must be better. This was one of the best Five Guys I have ever been in, literally!!! The staff is super friendly, laughing, small jokes btw fellow employees. You know these employees were super proud of there job and wanted to be there. We ordered our usuals, little bacon cheeseburger, regular bacon cheeseburger. Large Cajun fry, two drinks. Burgers were fresh, super yummy! Fries were the bomb and the fries were so overwhelming, they definitely give you plenty and than some. Love the cherry sprite and hubs loved the orange Mellow yellow. Super Dooper Clean restaurant!! This place was awesome and wish we had more restaurants with employees like these in our crazy world! Super Highly Recommend this place!!!!! I do not have an easy way to verify whether changes have been made, but a clear effort was made. Changing this review from 0 to 4 stars. ___________________ Original Review If you enjoy disrespect, dine here. 0 out of 5 stars. To whom it may concern: I gave this restaurant a chance to turn this zero star rating into a 5 star rating, but they chose not to value or respect their customers. Here's the long and short of it. The first thing I should mention: I am not the individual who was disrespected, so this is not some sort of knee-jerk reaction to be dismissed. I'll skip over the part about to impatient young lady who took our order and get to the important details. I ordered three burgers- one for myself, one for my wife, and one for our girl. We had a 4th sandwich in our bag. This did not belong to anyone at our table either. I finally found out that this sandwich was meant for my father who had ordered way earlier and was with a separate group of people at the restaurant. Here's the issue. I found that my dad (a disabled veteran) was sitting down with no food because when he informed the kitchen staff that he was missing a sandwich, they kept repeating "check the bag again. Check the bag again. We put it in there." As if the insult that my father does not know what an empty bag looks like was not enough, they did not prepare a new sandwich for him! If this had not been my father, I probably never would have discovered who's sandwich had ended up in my bag, and he never would have gotten one at all! Remember, we did not order together or sit at the same table. After the crowd died down and there were no other customers waiting to be served, I walked up to the counter and politely let the kitchen worker know that it would really mean a lot if he would apologize to "that gentleman." He just kept bobbing his head around saying "don't worry about it. Don't worry about it." He probably said that to me 8 times. He was so dismissive. I wasn't sure if he was trying to say "don't worry about it; I'll take care of it" or "don't worry about it because I'm not worrying about it; you can go away now." Guess which one it was. Yep. One simple apology or polite gesture could have turned this zero star review into a 5-star review, but something along the lines of the pride and/or incompetence of the staff could not afford that change. This is not the way to treat a customer to begin with, the fact that this is how they treated a disabled veteran is unsettling, and the fact that they showed not the smallest trace of concern is just sickening. I do not foresee a time when I return to any FiveGuys restaurant, and I'll encourage anyone I can to avoid them. What else can be done? People do not pay premium prices to be treated poorly. If you appreciate respect, veterans, customer service, or kind, competent people, then avoid FiveGuys. I realize not every worker of every FiveGuys restaurant is the likes of this particular one, but if they allow this caliber of personality to serve (or fail to serve) anywhere in their franchise, I'll happily take my money (and strongly encourage others to take theirs) to restaurants that corporately value all customers, and that strive to resolve issues promptly and professionally. This is NOT the Five Guys you want to eat at. The guy in the black hat today seemed to have an attitude problem. I ordered 5 burgers and one without a bun was missing when I emptied out the bag. I took my receipt to the counter just to be ignored. So I said "Hey, anyone seen a lettuce wrapped cheeseburger back there". The guy in the black hat said yeah I put it in your bag. I said it's not there and he said I put it in the bag, look in the bag. I said I emptied the bag and it's not there but don't worry about it I won't be back. I left and got in my car. Another customer came out when I was about to leave and said they had my lettuce wrapped burger in their bag. 1. Walk in, many employees standing at counter chit chatting. Wait roughly 3 minutes standing directly in front of then before even acknowledged. 2. After paying for our food, we went to get our drinks. WELL, their ice machine had broken. Not one, but both. To me this is something you tell a customer before they order. Enjoy our hot drinks! 3.
