The last time I was in the Carolinas was about 3 years ago and I was told by a few people about how good Cookout was. I was so busy going other places that i didn't get to try it. Well I was visiting Myrtle Beach and Cherry Grove and decided to try it this time and I have to say it was pretty darn good and cheap cheap for fast food now days. I went here on the 23rd of September for dinner. I got the Cookout Tray which is their combo options that you get to choose from and there are a lot of choices. I got the Barbeque Sandwich , Chicken Quesadilla , Hush Puppies , and a Cheerwine Float. Now that's a meal. The Bbq Sandwich with Slaw and Hot Sauce was soooo good. It tasted a lot like Smithfield's but with more of a bite and the slaw tasted just a little sweeter. The Chicken Quesadilla hardly had any chicken in it , but the cheese was tasty. The Hush Puppies were just right and the cashier asked me if I wanted any sauces for them and I had no clue , so she suggested the Polynesian Sauce and I got a Cookout Sauce too to try. They both were good , but I would like them better on probably chicken fingers. The Cheerwine Float was good and I had to refill my cup with drink a few times since there was plenty of ice cream in it. We don't have Cheerwine in Las Vegas. I used to get it at a specialty store in Vegas years ago , but they said they are having problems getting it and also Blenheim Ginger Ale Hot , so they quit trying. I ate outside at some of the tables they have with some other people doing the same. They have a dining area also which I had thought when I saw these places before they were just drive thru restaurants , well I was wrong. I would recommend trying Cookout and would love to try more of there items , but I'm back in Las Vegas now. I usually come home to visit every 2 or 3 years. I plan to move back there when I retire in a few more years. read more

The food is fast food, but I really like that you can get the burger customized the way you want it. All I did was go to the restroom and our food was ready! So, quick service! Very laid back atmosphere, food was good, and the value for the money was great! We'll be coming back for sure! read more

Corn dog & fries with nuggets pretty good not anything special. Quick service and friendly. Inside was big and was good for a quick eat.

Don't waste your time or money here. Service : the cashier didn't say one word to us when we walked up to the counter and was pretty unfriendly during our whole order. The manager was friendly and come up to our table and asked if we needed anything. Food: DO NOT RECOMMEND! Fries looked like they were from the day before. I ordered a small burger. It was about 1/4" thin and dry. The only thing that saved it was the tomato and pickle. My friend ordered a regular burger. It was about 1/2" thick and also dry. They were both quite small. The burger was actually great for fast food and o love that you can get fried onions! The hush puppies were so good for a quick service place I couldn't believe it! My college softball team had been at the fields playing from 11 -8:30pm. When we arrived, there were people in the building eating but the doors were locked. We figured they closed the dining room and got on the bus. The staff proceeded to open the door for ANOTHER softball team 2 minutes after us. Possibly the fastest cookout I've been to, and I've been to a lot. The design of the building and food were pretty classic to the cookout brand, but what stood out was the speed of service. Yeah, i'm doing it - giving 4 stars to a fast food joint! I discovered Cook Out in my travels to the south to visit family - in a nut shell, food is decent and the price simply cannot be beat. Cook Outs in the past few years have extended to have dining rooms to sit in. When I first discovered cook out, it was drive through or walk up window to go only. I'm glad they are building the newer cook outs with dining rooms! You can't go wrong with the chicken fingers. They are always big, juicy, and crispy on the outside. The flavor of the breading is decent, and I love that Polynesian dipping sauce! (sweet and sour). The tray combos are the best deal around. Main, two "sides", and a large drink. So many different combinations to make. The menu can seem alil daunting, but just take a minute to stand back and read it through. This location the staff were very friendly, and food came out quickly nice and hot. The days I was in, the dining room was very clean, as well as the soda machine area - so much so it looks like they had dedicated staff to clean off tables once you were done and kept busy by helping out around the soda machine and wiping up after spilled drinks. Again, great value for your buck if you don't care too much about calorie intake. read more

So we were out and about on a rainy afternoon during the Christmas holiday and we really wanted milkshakes. We saw the sign and we pulled over and we went inside and ordered milkshakes. We were not disappointed. Besides having all of the regular flavors they had some truly unique flavors. The milkshakes were very thick and creamy and very tasty. First time here today May 4th 2021. I ordered 2 vanilla shakes 1 Strawberry shake and 1 plain cheeseburger. The girl at the speaker asked if I wanted anything on my burger, she said "WE HAVE EVERYTHING". I asked for provolone cheese and mushrooms. {Big pause} "We don't have provolone or mushrooms". OK then make it plain. The burger was better than average. The shakes are not shakes but a cup full of soft serve ice cream. The parking lot is confusing at best with two lanes. If you are alone make sure you get in the drivers side line otherwise the serve window is on the passenger side. Good luck paying , getting change, and your food without a mishap. Oh, Cook Out. How I love you and wish there were one close to me. They've raised their prices on trays, so it's not as cheap as they used to be. But I love their chili. Their burgers are great, the bun could be better but love that chargrilled taste on the patty, though I wish they could give more lettuce. They use leaf lettuce, btw. It could just use more crunch, like In N Out's! Tomato is an upcharge on the burger, which I find a tad annoying. I love getting chili cheese fries (for an upcharge) as a side for my tray and usually add a shake. Perhaps it's better there isn't one too close to home!!! Oink oink. read more

Went through drive thru; as I do 2-3 times weekly.. I order an UNSWEETENED ice tea as usual. The cashier at window hands me a tea. I taste & it's SWEET! I put an "X" on plastic lid with my nail & hand it back & again ask for an UNSWEETENED ice tea. She waits serveral minutes & hands me back the exact same beverage with "X". Even though lots of cars in drive thru, in and out in probably less than 5 minutes. All the food was delicious, the Sweet Tea WAS HUGE and really sweet and delicious.
