Great dinner experience at Spankys. We sat at the bar as no tables were free. Great service and sweet personality from bar tender. I had teriyaki wings, they were some of the best bar wings I've had. Cooked just right with delicious flavor. I also had coleslaw and it was not too mayonnaise. All the staff seemed nice and happy to be there. read more

Super casual, fun bar environment with good food. If you're looking for stuffy fine dining this is not it. Mac and cheese eggrolls are out of this world. Shrimp tacos were good. Wings were excellent with many many choices for sauces/rubs. I loved the coleslaw. Menu items are better than your basic bar food. Service is efficient. Would make a return trip. read more

Loved it! Fresh burger and toppings. We enjoyed a few pudding shots. The service was top notch!

Def regret not taking a photo of my food but we ordered the pretzels as an appetizer and boneless chicken wings! Probs some of the best boneless wings we've ever had. We were super sad they were out of traditional wings but I guess that goes to show how in demand they are lol. Can't wait to come back and try them. We sat outside on the patio and it was a nice refreshing Night. Service was a tad slow but we could tell there were way more tables than servers so we tried to be patient. read more

Went here for their wings and was not disappointed. We got 2 orders of wings, shrimp appetizer and the shrimp tacos. We were lucky and got there before the rush so we didn't have to wait long for our food. We sat inside by the bar, but nice outdoor seating. read more

Love this place! My nieces and I discovered this place after leaving the Outlets. It is a hidden gem and we will be back! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! I look forward to returning! I tried pudding shots for the first time! They make puddings with alcohol and serve it these adorable shot cups! Very tasty! I can't wait to go on a girls' trip and really enjoy them! Our burgers were flavorful and juicy! The fries were perfectly crisp and soft. For dessert we had cheesecake egg rolls. Yeah, you read that right! They were perfectly fired and served with caramel and/or chocolate sauce. There were delicious! read more

Arrived late from the Alabama Theater and they were nice enough to keep the kitchen open for us. I had the Italian sandwich which was very nice with some good bread and fresh Italian meats. My wife had the roast beef w swiss and she said it was great. Kids both had different salads. 2 Yuengling lagers were nice and cold. This seems like a nice cozy place that has locals and vacationers all together. Would eat there again. Fun fact...there is an ice cream place right next door. read more

Visiting the area for Fall Break. Step son requested "wings or pizza" for dinner tonight. Came across Spanky's on Yelp so we gave it a try. We did the pretzels for an app - no complaints! My step son and husband both got wings - they enjoyed them. I devoured the bacon Mac & cheese egg rolls. So so good. Who da thunk that would've been a solid combo? Not me. Would definitely recommend to anyone to go to Spanky's. Even if you have kids in tow! read more

Bar food. Real small. Service was spot on. I liked how much they gave to special Olympics

After a week of golf and seafood dinners, my husband and I just wanted great burgers. We got them here at Spanky's! We asked for them medium to medium rare, and they were hot and juicy and perfectly cooked on fresh buns. They were accompanied by what appeared to be home made potato salad, which was perfect. We were there about 6pm on Saturday evening April 1, and the place was only moderately busy. Our server was also Thomas. He was a gem. Prompt and friendly. For a simple tasty meal, we highly recommend this place.simple read more

Stopped in after a day of shopping and it's right up the street from Tanger across from a golf course. Cute little spot with a covered porch and we sat inside. It's a nice little quant sports bar with a nice bar with about 6 or 7 tables. We sat at the low table. Our server was very friendly and recommended the egg rolls sampler. We got the Mac n cheese w bacon and the cheesecake one and the pepperoni one. They were all delicious and crisp. I definitely recommend! I wish I woulda took pic but we ate them too quick. I got the recommended corned beef Reuben with the coleslaw. The Reuben was on a crispy Italian roll that was yummy and crispy. I've never had a Reuben that wasn't on Rye and it's was pretty good. I loved the corn beef and the sauerkraut. If you like the sweetness of KFC's coleslaw then get the slaw. I loved it. It was delightful and nice and cold. My husband got the turkey club it definitely needed a sauce. Maybe a honey mustard? It was very dry. But he ate it and said it was still good. He loved the fries so much. Nice and flavored and crispy. Definitely check out this little place! There's is a little ice cream shop right in the front with cute little bench seats. read more

With it being our first night of vacation, we were looking for something laid back and local. Spanky's hit the mark! When we got there the manager informed us the kitchen was full, and it may be 30 minutes before we got our food. Since we weren't in a hurry we were fine with this...after all as long as we are in the know and the process is communicated to us, then we are content to grab a beer and just relax. Our son got Mac 'n cheese from the kids menu and he chose a salad for his side. Initially he didn't want dressing but then 1/2 way in he asked for vinegar and oil. They delivered and it was delicious. When my husband's Italian Panini and my Italian wrap arrived, they were so flavorful and worth the wait. In addition to the food and the service, the ambiance and music were great too! In summary, if we continue our yearly vacation to North Myrtle, we will always make Spanky's a tradition. read more

Spankys Pub is a divey locals bar with great food! I visited on my birthday and had a blast! Most of the patrons knew each other as well as the staff. For food they have burgers and the usual suspects for bar food. One thing that intrigued me was the egg rolls. They are done in house with unusual fillings such as Mac&Cheese, Rueben, Buffalo Shrimp etc. I ordered the sampler platter with five choices. They were all delicious! Their fried pickles are legit as they bread them in house and are pickle spears vs chips-nice! Definitely a fun place and worth a visit for sure! read more

There is nothing vegan here. Not a choice for me unless you just want to get a salad or fried pickle spears.

Sat on the patio with another family and the 5 kids sat at one table and us 4 adults sat at the next table. Our friend aren't seafood lovers so after reading Yelp review we chose this place because of the variety in the menu and the outdoor seating. The kids ordered mostly off the kids menu except my son who got a Ruben. We ordered pickle spears and egg roller sampler; 2 Mac n cheese, Ruben, buffalo shrimp, Carolina pulled pork for apps. My wife ordered the shrimp Po'boy with beer battered fries and I ordered the turkey melt with bacon on a hoagie with the beer battered fries. Our friends ordered the chicken cheese steak with onion rings and 10 lemon pepper wings. While we waited my wife and her crazy friend ordered some kind of creamsicle shot that looked like dessert. I enjoyed the buffalo shrimp and Ruben egg roll. My wife enjoyed her Shrimp Po'boy. She's quite the connoisseur of Po'boys and she said "I loved it. The breading was light and flaky and the sauce was very tasty." My friend enjoyed his chicken.wings and his wife devoured her chicken cheese steak. Her eyes were bigger than her stomach so we helped her with her onion rings. They were made fresh and were well seasoned and crispy. My turkey melt was good on a hoagie roll. The only complaint I had is that the sandwich had the same sauce as my wife's Po'boy which was not appealing. Other than that my fries were crispy and tasty. Considering this place was only .3 miles from the condo and everyone seemed enjoyed their food, we will give it another shot when we are next in NMB. Thanks. read more

Placed a togo order, picked it up and ate it in the car in their parking lot. Everyone was very nice, food was ready at time promised. It's a small spot, easy to miss. Fried pickles were a great attempt, they are full spears. Unfortunately, although we ate them almost instantly (they were insanely hot), they wouldn't retain the breading. I believe they needed to be dried off more with perhaps a different breading mix. They did taste very good, but required "assembly" to enjoy. I'd give them a 3.5, if the breading had stuck they would have been a 5. Rueben was very tasty, bread was amazing, sauce was on point. Only gripe was there was 2 oz of meat, tops, leaving 1/2 of the bread on either end untouched. With no exaggeration it was one big bite of meat, on the whole sandwich. I'd give it a 3 as I really felt the meat portion wasn't on par. It would be a 5 with a more corrected portion. Last item was a chicken quesadilla, it was gross. Prepackaged chicken with cheddar cheese (which is weird on its own for a quesadilla), no color on tortilla and just a very novice job, something I'd expect a teenager to make. Taco Bell's quesadilla would be fine dining in comparison. In short, the pickles and Rueben have the potential to be great. The quesadilla needs to be removed from the menu. If you are in the area it's worth a visit under the hope I just caught them on an off day or they take this critique as an opportunity to improve. read more

Great place! We watched & enjoyed several football games there while on vacation over 2.5 weeks. It's definitely a local place but we were warmly welcomed! I don't want to say anything negative or leave a bad review for a neighborhood bar so I'm leaving 4 stars, even though it should be more like a 2. That said, we didn't have a very good experience last night. Understandably the service was lacking (they were very busy at the tail end of a rush). We were very patient, but didn't get napkins or utensils when the food was served, ordered a second drink with the food and it never came, never checked on, etc. Easy fixes...maybe she was new. Stood talking to a 6 top that was just seated for about 10 minutes-maybe regulars, idk...glad she came to work...but also...come on. Anyway, the main issue we had was with quality control. Stale hot dog buns, to be specific. How cheap is bread? Even retail you can get 1000 buns at Costco for $3. And the chips were beyond burnt-inedible. Please double check the food is at least somewhat fresh and not burnt before serving it. I'd rather be told an item isn't available than to be served expired food. I had a dinner salad that was good and hubs said the chili on the dogs was really good. Although, he did have a somewhat upset stomach later. Chili dogs can do that to ya, I guess. Lol read more
