I've seen the reviews and overall ratings and I do not concur. The owner and staff went out of their way to be gracious and provide excellent service. It's truly a local hangout, and the people eating/drinking there were jovial and really good spirited. The food was mediocre at best. My guess is it all comes off a Sysco truck or something similar. A lot of breading with the appetizers (I purchased a sample plate). In addition, I ordered the Buffalo wings, and I would order them again. Probably my first and only visit. read more

Like the reviews have said, a very friendly atmosphere. We did take out, and the guy on the phone was super friendly, too. Fries don't travel too well, but the onion rings do. Chicken tenders were delicious. We ordered a cheeseburger sub n a patty melt. Both were very cooked lol, idk how to say, not dry, but not juicy, not burnt. Definitely a dive feel, but it's very clean inside and it's a locals hangout, despite being on 17 Business just off the beach. It is noticeably dark inside, but that doesn't bother me. They have happy hour food specials from 4 to 7 that change every day, though their drink specials are always the same, such as $2.50 domestic bottles and 4 dollar well drinks. See my pic of their rotating daily hh food specials. Super friendly service and food we ordered was made to our order and definitely had not been sitting under a food lamp. About 10 tables inside and only 5 stools at the bar, so it's pretty small. Lots of safe parking in a lot outside and on the side of the building, though they do not have free wifi. It's a sports bar with a handful of screens and a pool table in the middle of the place. It's a great locals spot with really great prices. 16 oz Yuengling drafts are 3.25 all the time, Blue Moon is 4. Food prices are crazy reasonable and they do all the bar foods you'd expect, plus pizzas, and subs too. Saw 1 guy get nachos and it was just crazy how big the portion was...looked like man vs. food. Anyhow, we're definitely headed back here. Good people, good food, good prices, and classic rock tunes at a reasonable volume. Excellent. read more

My neighbor George insisted we go there for St. Patrick's Day in March 2020. He claimed they bring in 40lbs of Corned Beef from NYC for the days celebration. We both lived a long time in NJ, and for weeks he hyped up the event. For one low price you could eat as much as you want for the day. I should have known better. Having eaten at Katz's, 2nd Ave Deli, Carnegi Deli, and the Stage Deli all my life - I know good Corned Beef! The Corned Beef was nothing like NYC Corned Beef. It was edible though. If anyone offered all you can eat real NYC Corned beef for $7.95 - they would lose their shirt on that deal. The owner was nice and so was Fosters. I didn't ask him if George's story was true; because I already knew the answer. So I chalk this one up to my clueless neighbor George! He wouldn't know good Corned Beef if it slapped him in the face! Wanted good pizza while visiting Myrtle Beach but good pizza is hard to find. This place had decent reviews so we decided to try it. Staff was super friendly and the place was busy. It's a dive bar feel, but there were other families with kids (we had a 10yr old). Beer was cold & refreshing. Pizza was delicious! Fresh dough very thin crust. Had mozzarella wedges & wings too. Everything was terrific & the prices were reasonable. May parents, husband, & child got out for $68! Totally worth it & it will be a regular stop when we visit Myrtle again! read more

We were desperate for something to eat late at night when everything else had closed down... Uber Eats listed one pizza joint I had already been disappointed with, and this place (Fosters) which had only a couple photos and reviews. I took a chance, and we ordered a couple of cheesesteaks, fries, and mozzarella sticks. I'll be honest: I had super low expectations. LUCKILY, they exceeded my expectations more than I ever imagined. While the food was nothing to write home about, the cheesesteak was better than most of the hole in the wall food and many of the big money franchises alike at the beach. The fries didn't travel well, and I'd skip those next time... but the mozzarella sticks were great. They were actually still warm, and tasted beer battered. All in all, I just wanted to give some credibility to this place for those of you in the same situation as I was. It may not be the first pick, but I don't think you'll be disappointed if you don't have incredibly high expectations. For a place that is apparently (according to other reviewers) a bar first, and restaurant second, I'm rounding this one up to four stars. Solid 3.5 at least. Haha! read more

The food was pretty unseasoned, Ironically, right next to where we were sitting (in a booth) there were tons of seasonings to be sold. I originally ordered the calamari which is an appetizer, and it tasted fine. I also ordered the fish and chips. The fish tasted very bland and unseasoned. The fries that come with the fish and chips tasted fine. As my side I got street corn, and mine actually came burnt. My family and I literately had to drown our food in hot sauce, and salt and pepper. They have great service, the food is just extremely bland. read more

We went to Foster's to watch the Super Bowl because it is an Eagles Bar. We could not have enjoyed ourselves more! The owner Don and his wife went out of their way to make us feel welcome , as did many of the regulars. The food was amazing , the beer was cold , prices were unbelievable, and the service was outstanding!!! Also the bar is now nonsmoking! We have been here twice, both times have been great!! The owner introduced himself on our first visit and made us feel very welcome. We had the Philly Cheesesteak and the French Dip...so good! Defiantly bar/pub food! My only recommendation is to make fries a side option; the sides offered are potato salad and chips so we had to pay an up charge for fries. That's why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. Fosters is a local BAR and restaurant. I saw a review posted that mentioned it was a smoking bar. Yes, it is, but they have an excellent ventilation system in place. The menu is about what you would expect for a bar type restaurant. Appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, salad, pizza and wings. What you DONT expect is the quality of the food. It's some of the best " bar type " food anywhere! I mean, it's GOOD! The French dip is the best I have ever had. Ask for the pasta salad as a side dish. It changes ever couple of days, but all are great. My favorite is the angel hair! Salads are excellent, and the blue cheese dressing is made in house! OMG....yummy. Nachos are great. Pizza is excellent. My son loves the chicken fingers. If you like wings, do not miss Monday night which is wing night. You buy them by the piece, they are FRESH, NOT FROZEN! Simply the best wings I have ever had. Nice big wings. Try the Foster style, which is sort of a bbq and buffalo sauce. Not too spicy, but tangy. My son likes the garlic Romano. I like them all. Tuesday night is Taco night (duh) and the tacos are 2 for 2.00. Or 1 soft taco. Chicken or beef... Service is awesome, and the drinks are cold! Bill and Boogie are the best on the beach...there is an extensive craft beer selection. House wine is pretty good. During football season, they open early on Sunday with a 5.00 make your own Bloody Mary bar. They also have a football breakfast til noon, and then a lunch special which is 5-6 bucks.
