I only tried a small slice of pizza as part of the Flavors of Fall tasting festival. I liked that they have a few pizzas that don't have tomato sauce but aren't just white/garlic pizza. I tried the buffalo chicken pizza and it was tasty. I'm from NY and while this isn't as good as the pizza I can get there, it does have a thinner crust. The staff was friendly on my visit. It's a small shop. You can get pizza by the slice for whatever varieties they have at that time. I will have to order a pizza for take out and then I'll update my review as needed based on that experience! read more

As a small business owner, I love supporting other small businesses which is why I chose Main Slice in NMB. I made an online order which gave me a curbside pick up option. Apparently this particular location does not recognize this option. I was told by an employee that she does not know who I think I am, but they do not bring food out to cars. She was so rude I just couldn't believe someone would speak to a customer like she did. She went on to tell me I ordered a half cheese half pepperoni pizza and didn't even pay for the pepperonI. I tried to explain that curbside was an option on the website and she told me she had never seen such an option. I offered to pay her the difference in the price I was charged online for the pepperonI. She said no and walked back inside. I took my food to my family and drove back to the restaurant to show her the option on the website for curbside and she was just as nasty as before. I did leave $2.00 on the counter after she refused to even stop and address the issue with me. I understand that maybe she was tired but you NEVER speak to a customer the way she did me. For the record, this is the first review I have ever done. The food was wonderful. The service was horrible. It is a shame that one person can ruin any chances that my family and I will ever come to Main Slice again. Such a shame it went down like it did. read more

After a long and tiring drive through multiple construction areas and rainstorms, we arrived at our resort tired and hungry. We decided to just order pizza in. A tossed salad and medium meat pizza were ordered. Fairly quickly we were notified via text that our delivery was on the way. After about 15 minutes I texted GrubHub driver for an update. He texted back it was left at our door. That was upsetting that he didn't text the arrival. Pizza was still hot and salad was chilled and crisp. Both were delicious. We ordered pizza from our rental unit while visiting Myrtle Beach. Based on yelp reviews, this pizza gets good ratings. As a bonus, they'll deliver directly to your room, which is nice. We ordered a cheese pizza for the kids and a veggie pizza for the wife and I. About 40 minutes after ordering, the pizza was delivered. Make sure that you tell them which building you're staying in if there are multiple buildings within your complex. I failed to do this, which caused the driver to visit Tower A prior to finding our room in Tower B. The pizza was tasty and I would definitely order from here again. The Main Slice is legitimately my favorite pizza joint in the greater Myrtle area, though I love the calzones at Franco's down in Surfside. I haven't yet tried a calzone at The Main Slice, but if I had to guess, I bet they're rockstar status. I consider myself a true pizza lover as I've eaten pizzas everywhere including NYC, Chicago, Italy, New Haven and on and on and if you like specialty pizzas, definitely try out one of the many made here. My favorite so far is the Ocean Drive. Absolutely love that one. That pizza just works dude. Get one...or nine. Prices are reasonable and the owner seems like he really cares that customers are happy. They have a table or two to sit at and eat out front, but no real seating inside, so this place is definitely primarily designed for take out. Parking is at a premium too as it's basically street parking only, though you might be able to park out back and walk around the corner to the front of the joint. Standard fountain machine sodas. We stopped in late on a weekend ..not being drunk and middle aged we had low expectations. We were surprised! Food was good, large selection and young men working were super nice and helpful. We got a stromboli to go (huge)...it was delicious and a steal...loaded with meat. It wasn't cooked all the way in the middle but we were able to reheat it. Was in Myrtle Beach for short weekend vacation, wanted to try a local pizza place. Ordered online via Slice, one x-large pepperoni pizza and garlic parm bites. Pizza was of generous size, and was provided packets to add parm+red pepper flakes. The bread bites were a bit overly buttered but still delicious. We got the cheese pizza, which was average. The meat lovers was exceptional. If you are a bleu cheese lover, this place has some great sauce. As for these "award winning wings" they were soggy and undercooked. They were all pink and you could tell they are not fresh wings. Kind of tasted like sometimes from papa johns. I'll say the sauce was good. I would recommend maybe the boneless wings would be better. This cheesesteak challenge, is a challenege, and my novel is a good read SOOO, the wife and I went to Main Slice on Main Street in North Myrtle. (7 out of 10 for you skimmers) It is a small restaurant about a half a block from our sandy beaches in North Myrtle and if quite enough, you can hear the waves crashing. Everyone was friendly, smiling and a very pleasant atmosphere. Even the customers were just as cheery. A very good positive vibe was going on when we visited. The CHALLENGE requires me to order a "cheesesteak" .....so I ordered a Philly cheese steak with steak, provolone, no peppers, no mayo. We also ordered some other food, and I will get to that in a minute. After a short wait, our food was done. The gentleman brought us the cheese steak wrapped in foil at the outside seating. Note, I did not notice any inside seating, so looks more like a grab and go location. After opening the cheesesteak, the cheese was gooey and looked sooo delicious. Plenty of meat and the bun looked sooo good.....this is hard to say because I normally eat Keto, and the bun is not Keto, not even close. Lol. I took the 1st bite.. wow.. I then realized I MESSED UP..... I messed up because this is not Keto, and WOW I wanted to eat the whole thing right away. I also messed up because normally a cheesesteak is greasy and I didn't add the mayo, due to not wanting excess grease and mayo and just a big mess.... without the mayo, left the cheesesteak a little dry, but that is my fault for assuming all cheesesteaks are created equal. I should have known better, since this is the exact reason I started this challenge!!!! We were able to eat the cheesesteak no problem. The consistency was superb, the bun slightly toasted, but still soft with a slight crunch. Everything was cooked to excellence and you can tell car went into making this sandwich. I personally give it a 7 out of 10 due to mainly the no mayo/dryness... again, I DO NOT LIKE GREASY FOOD, but didn't know what to expect. So heed my warning....add the mayo!!!!!!! This brings us to the "other" food. We ordered wings, fried with Teriyaki and baked with Carolina Sweet... or maybe it was the other way around. anyway, we dipped in ranch and THEY WERE AMAZING!!! The temperature was hot, the sauce was flavorful and the taste of everything combined was a win...a 9 out of 10 for me. I could eat these all day!!!!! Lastly, we ordered an all meat pizza to go. As we left and walked down the street, I looked at the pizza 3 or 3 times. If I were not walking, I would taken a bite. 15 minutes later at home, I decided to take a bite...full from the other food, I pushed through!!!. OMG, ONE BITE WAS NOT ENOUGH!! I being full loved the taste so much I almost ate a huge slice. The sauce, the flavors, meat, everything was delicious!!!!. The pizza gets a 9 out or 10 for me....by the way... a few hours later, I reheated a slice and the half I left, and it was STILL AMAZING!!!! SUMMARY and for the skimmers... Last night we had Main Slice for dinner. And being in a cheese steak challenge I ordered the cheesesteak. I ordered it regular with provolone cheese. You can get beer cheese or provolone. I wanted to taste the sandwich as is, but I did get a side of beer cheese. The cheesesteak had a nice toaster bun and plenty of meat with peppers and onions. For me, it was a little on the dry side. So I took the beer cheese and dipped the sandwich in it, oh that beer cheese. I could eat it on anything. It added to the sandwich. When I go back I will definitely get the beer cheese on the sandwich. On a side note the pizza is delicious as well as the chili Mac. Give it a try read more

The Main Slice is THE BEST pizza on the beach! Possibly the best pizza ever...but that's still up for debate. I haven't had much, but just the Southern Hillbilly is enough to keep me coming back! It's covered with cheese, pepperoni, pulled pork, jalapeños, and bbq sauce...it is sooooo good! The lasagna pizza is also great! Seriously tastes exactly like a pasta dish! One thing to know though, is you're probably going to have to wait a while, so I would advise ordering your pizza at least 30 minutes before you're planning on eating. Sometimes they're so busy that they can't even get to the phone, but that's just because the word got around! Main Slice has a little something for everyone--from your plain cheese people, to the folks who like to live on the wild side! And I'm talking wild...like hot dogs and cheese fries and stir fry wild. While three is not a bad score, it's down from my previous review. We ordered 4 large pizzas to be picked up. The cost? $94.00. I can only say they were alright. My husband and I wanted a lot of toppings so we made our own. The meats were good. We asked for red onion and got white. The big issue? It just wasn't cooked enough. The crust was soggy and not crisp at all. The kids had various combos of cheese, pepperoni and onions. Their review? Meh. I asked my husband, who picked up the pizzas, who was working. If you want cheap good pizza and love ny style (real ny style) then this is a must visit! They have your basics along with buffalo pizza, 2 versions of the ocean drive pizza, stromboli, calzones and even keto friendly options! The only thing that was really meh was the boneless wings. Not sure what they did to them but they were not really fried and not really baked. Also minimal flavor and we had the medium and parmesan garlic. And I love bold flavors and spice so if mild flavor is your thing with little breading them have at em. Now the fries they come with made getting the wings worth it! To me the fries tasted better lol. We also got a cheese pizza with parmesan and feta, pepperoni, and pepperoni sausage. I don't eat read meat but the family liked both the meat pizzas and said the sausage had a nice kick. The cheese was beyond good! I know it's Labor Day weekend but after you hold for 15 minutes, then 7 minutes, and get hung up on BOTH TIMES, you get a little aggravated. So then you order online and it says the pizza will be ready in 30 minutes so you send your husband to pick it up. When he gets there, right on time, they tell him it will be 15 more minutes, because "they got slammed"...they weren't aware they were busy before and adjusted their timetable accordingly? The pizza was good, we got the supreme. We originally just wanted 4 toppings but it was $5 cheaper to get a specialty...odd. I will definitely go back though, when I'm with more adventurous company, to try all the amazingly weird specialties they have on the menu. read more
