Love this little place! It's so good! They have the best hotdogs and hamburgers! The service is fast and friendly! Everyone there will greet you with a smiling face! The environment is nice! Also has outdoor seating for warmer days! They also don't use shared fryers with seafood so people with shellfish allergies like myself can eat anything fried! Which is amazing!!

To walk in and see fresh hamburger patties on a grill just screams good food. To have fish so moist and light, scream freshness. They have great ice tea freshly made as well. The staff members are so nice and hard at work The staff delivers your food with a smile. Really a great location. This place hustles to keep the customers wait to a minimum. It's a small place with big flavor. The indoor seat is cozy and lots of outdoor seating. They even have a pick-up window. Job well done on this busy Valentine's Day. Food was delicious and hot. Thank You all !!!

EXCELLENT! We both got the $13.00 Shrimp special. At least 1/2 pound of Calabash shrimp, hush puppies, fries, Cole slaw, honey butter, tartar sauce, cocktail sauce and a soda. Tasty, well prepared food at a great price. The staff is friendly and efficient. Plenty of seating outside, but inside there are maybe only a dozen tables.

Very yummy calabash shrimp! Great homemade slaw and cinnamon butter for the doughnut holes.

You can tell it was a family-owned restaurant and I love it. Everybody was very attentive and friendly. The food was very tasty; everything is made to order and the price was right for the location. The cozy atmosphere made it feel like home, . Each dish was infused with a sense of love ,As I savored my meal, I couldn't help but appreciate the passion that went into every bite. I left feeling satisfied, eager to return and explore more of their delightful menu.

This morning I saw a post about Bennett's, on Facebook, and the thing that caught my eye was the pictures of the food. It actually looked fresh. Unlike a lot of the restaurants here at the beach, their Seafood and burgers all look like they were locally sourced and very fresh. So we decided to take a road trip and head up to Calabash, North Carolina and give Bennett's a try. A little over an hour in traffic, and we arrived at this little gem that is tucked between stores on the main Highway through Calabash. There was a line waiting to order but it moved very quickly. I was very impressed with the activity in the little Kitchen, right behind the counter, where most of the meals were being prepared. Everybody seemed to know their job as they together worked at the grill, bringing out dishes, making french fries or bringing food to the tables that had been ordered by their customers. They have a wonderful menu and the best part is they have "senior platters" for those of us that are over 65. The senior platters include one or two pieces of fish, fried shrimp, crab cake, or deviled crab. It also includes a fountain drink, hush puppies with honey butter, incredible french fries, tartar sauce and Carolina style coleslaw. We both chose the fried flounder on the senior platter and settled in to table and waited for our number to be called. This is not fast food and each piece of fish isn't fried until it is ordered, so it comes to you piping hot. We only waited about 10 minutes and when our number was called and one of the ladies brought our lunch, in baskets, to us at the table. There is plenty of seating inside and there are tables outside, under an awning, or you could order from the window and eat in your car if you chose. We sat inside and watched the hustle bustle in the kitchen. The quality of the food is top notch. Everyone talks about Calabash fried fish and we have had it at several different restaurants here but this was, by far, the best fried flounder, french fries and even the coleslaw, that we have found anywhere here in the Myrtle Beach area. The folks that work at Bennett's make you feel like you're a regular. Even during the busiest part of the lunch rush they take time to smile and greet you warmly. We were both impressed with the speed of service, quality of the food and the atmosphere in this hustle bustle little restaurant. I will say that Joy told me that this was the best coleslaw she'd ever had. All this time I thought mine was the best, but this is truly excellent Carolina coleslaw with vinegar and sugar and it goes so well with their fish. We'll go back but the next time we'll try their onion rings and their incredible looking burgers and I have to have their fried shrimp. If you're looking for something different and you like to travel North from Myrtle Beach I highly recommend Bennett's Grill and Cafe.

Typical small town burger joint nothing bad but nothing amazing. Bennett's bbq is far better than Smithfield's up the way in Shallotte and better than any bbq in the MB area. Their fried flounder isn't bad either it's actually better than a great deal of the fried fish options at other calabash seafood restaurants that float on tradition. My biggest complaint at current would be my preference for more option of sides for bbq and/or the fried fish beyond fried sides.

We were driving thru Calabash area on road trip and came across this location. They have lots of outdoor seating under shade which was good as wer had our small dog traveling with us. You place your order indoors at counter and staff brings it to you. Pour your own drink and acquire the proper plastic dining ware. We ordered a combination platter of Shrimp, Clams, and Flounder which came with tartar and cocktail sauce. The portions were enough for two at lunch time. Good parking on premises, nice staff, good value for money.

There are a few spaces in front of the door and more along the side of the building. We wound up parking in the rear across an alley in a grassy lot marked for parking. Turn to the right after you enter and go along the counter. There are two ordering stations depending on how busy they are. You will walk past their pastry cabinet so be prepared to increase your order. There is no designated waiting area after you place your order so try to find a place out of the way. There is a dedicated pick up window when they call your number. Pay attention to the numbers as they are called as the food is ready which is not necessarily in sequence. A better choice would be to call ahead as you will be able to pick up your order at the first part of the counter avoiding a lot of waiting. Seating is various tables. There is an outside seating area as well. Everything is pretty crowded together and if you are eating inside expect there will be other customers standing nearby waiting for their orders. We waited about 15 minutes for our order to be called. They have daily specials and the one when we were there was a bbq brisket sandwich with tater tots. There was a good amount of brisket on the sandwich. The meat was flavorful but not the best bbq I have had. The tots were cooked perfectly and piping hot. The roast beef melt was excellent with plenty of meat on an excellent bun. The bread was slightly crunchy outside and soft inside. Of course, standing by the pastry cabinet as we waited to order caused a white chocolate raspberry scone, a piece of baklava, a French toast muffin, and a pumpkin spice muffin to follow us home. All were excellent, with the French toast muffin and the white chocolate raspberry scone earning top praise. The staff was very friendly even though they were quite busy. Calabash Deli deserves to be on the list of top places to try when in the area.

Typically, when I come, it is with a larger group so we have to sit inside. For anyone wondering, you are likely always going to have a wait. And that's okay! There is a wonderful beach and Christmas shop right across the parking lot that you can peruse - I promise you can kill at least 45 minutes, and the meal is well worth the wait. This time, since it was just my friend and I, we decided to sit at the outdoor bar, which is first come first serve. We were quickly seated, so it worked out perfectly. One thing I will say is that this patio is in the direct path of the setting sun, so just have your sunglasses ready. I ordered the Sarita Margarita, which is my favorite cocktail they have. It is like a fruity, boozy slushy. Absolutely delicious and perfect after a day at the beach. I always get the Hurricane Chicken. It is my absolute favorite meal. If I were to have my choice of my last meal on earth, it would be Boundary House's Hurricane Chicken. When you order an entree, it comes with a side salad. My recommendation to you is to get their house raspbery vinagrette, it pairs perfectly with this salad! Now, the Hurricane Chicken itself is this delightful combination of a chicken breast, crab cake, and shrimp with some delicious sauce on top. It is so creamy with the variety of flavors that three meats bring. In case you don't finish it all, it also reheats well for leftovers the next day. The beef was incredibly well seasoned with those crisp, lacy edges. The chili had just enough sweetness, the mustard brought the perfect tang, and the onions added that fresh crunch. Then there's the toasted potato bun--still the undisputed champion of burger buns--and the perfectly melted cheese holding this glorious mess together. What makes this place even cooler is that it started in a gas station back in 2017. Now it's one of the most talked-about burger spots around.
