This was a WONDERFUL 2nd time this year (2026) lunch!! My son, his wife, and one of my best friends were able to join us. ALL OF US ENJOYED EVERYTHING!! Hubby had the Monte Cristo, my friend & I had the flounder (she added a bowl of clam chowder) our meals were from the luncheon menu which are perfectly priced & sized!) my son had the Clark's combo off the regular menu (2sides cone with) & a bowl of clam chowder, all four of us had the FAMOUS - DO NOT MISS IT BOUNDARY SALAD!! his wife had the Asian salad off the regular menu, and we all shared a basket of THE MOST DELICIOUS WARM CROISSANTS DRIZZLED IN A HEAVENLY HONEY SAUCE!! DON'T miss them!! EVERYTHING WAS COOKED PERFECTLY, server was great and the restaurant is gorgeous! We WILL BE RETURNING EVERY YEAR WHEN WE VISIT!!

Stopped here for dinner and there was a really long wait. Apparently the outdoor seating has a separate waiting list (also first come first serve but a little less organized) and we had a much shorter waiting time. The outdoor patio is pretty nice. Very roomy and they had some fans blowing which I think helped keep the flies away. The server was extremely friendly and was on top of everything! He was running around everywhere but still managed to frequently check in with us and make some small talk/crack some jokes. The server recommend I get the house salad with 2 dressings and listening to him was one of the best decisions I made. I'm not a big salad person but it was probably the highlight of my meal. I really love how they add a croissant to the salads. It was so soft and flaky and had a nice honey butter glaze. Rest of the meal was solid and pretty much what you'd expect of fried oysters & crab cake. Mashed potatoes could've used more garlic and cheddar flavor but they were still good.

Our first visit to The Boundary House exceeded all of our expectations. We had a reservation, so we were seated immediately upon entry. I am a fan of nautical themeing, so the wood interior, nautical lighting, and boats made me very happy. We had studied the menu prior to our visit and knew we were getting a basket of croissants to start and Monte Cristos for our lunch entrée. We live an hour drive away, and since no establishment in our area offers the Monte Cristo, we were more than happy to make the trek to Calabash for a Valentine's Day lunch. I paired my meal with the Blackberry Martini, the perfect libation for this entrée. Our server Grace L was the best! She made us feel like honored guests. The manager came by to check on us as well, and from what I observed, The Boundary House provides impeccable service. The place is quite relaxed and casual, yet the experience truly is one of fine dinning. I fully understand why this place is so popular. We will definitely be back for dinner and do hope that Grace will be working that evening. She really is a super star.

We went to The Boundary House in late August 2025 because we heard they had pretty good Prime Rib. Well they did not disappoint us one bit. The prime rib was roasted to perfection and the chef might have slipped with the knife because these seemed much larger portions then advertised... (when does that happen?) We are going back the last week of March with some friends from out of town coming to visit. I'll update this review once we do.

    Wonderful time

We went with our family of 7. Lots of food and drinks, easy to get things mixed up but the entire staff with our server Lexi did everything perfectly. We had amazing appetizers, special drinks from a full bar, and entrees that were done to perfection. The New York steak Pittsburgh style is the bomb. The service was exceptional.

Our second visit started out questionable with the parking lot unwalkable cause of the resent bad weather. Rain puddles and moon craters aplenty. Going in seemed awkward having the diners look at you because we brought in a rush of cold air. Everyone there was eating with thier coats on. Alot of restaurants have a tent breeze way but not here. One of the waitress gave a beeper and told us we could either wait out side or in our cars. It was cold that day. That wasn't a great option. My meal was a questionable experience. Once handed our menus they appeared dirty and manhandled. My last visit the rolls that were giving out weren't' bake at all. This visit the same way. Gummy at first not fully baked and if not eating right away hard as a rock. Thats the second time it was severed like that. I ordered the chicken strips. 4 in all. Not great. When I woke up the next day I was wondering WHY the roof of my mouth was torn up. This tells me that the breading was old and heated up. Look not every place can be like Chick Fill A. I get it. . The atmosphere was kind of depressing. The lighting was all over the place. Bright light bulbs not matching. LED's with regular bulbs. The first time I was there I thought that the waitress wearing rip jeans was maybe a fluke but there she is again. The same jeans. The rag she used to wipe the tables matched her pants. Very off-putting to say the least. I would think this place is popular causet there is'nt much dinning in that area of Calabash. I'm never going back. A sure sign of a place that is questionable the sign out front is awash with green mold. A good power wash could help that.

Took our beverage orders, returned quickly with those and water. She told us the specials which we passed on. Fred ordered fried oysters platter, I ordered an à la carte crab cake and oysters Rockefeller. Our food arrived quickly. Fried oysters were plentiful and crispy. House made chips were crunchy and delicious. My crab cake was wonderful - as close to a Maryland crab cake as I've had in a long time. Lump crab, very little bread crumbs, pan fried and served with a dollop of hollandaise. It needed some Old Bay seasoning. The Rockefeller Oysters were delicious. Plump oysters topped with spinach and Hollandaise. They need a splash of Pernod and would be 5 star. We split a piece of house made peanut butter pie for dessert. It wasn't good. Way too sweet and very soupy. Tasted like a cool whip recipe. Our tab was reasonable and we left our server a generous tip. We recommended the restaurant to numerous people we knew back at the hotel. I'd definitely return!

There are a few spaces in front of the door and more along the side of the building. We wound up parking in the rear across an alley in a grassy lot marked for parking. Turn to the right after you enter and go along the counter. There are two ordering stations depending on how busy they are. You will walk past their pastry cabinet so be prepared to increase your order. There is no designated waiting area after you place your order so try to find a place out of the way. There is a dedicated pick up window when they call your number. Pay attention to the numbers as they are called as the food is ready which is not necessarily in sequence. A better choice would be to call ahead as you will be able to pick up your order at the first part of the counter avoiding a lot of waiting. Seating is various tables. There is an outside seating area as well. Everything is pretty crowded together and if you are eating inside expect there will be other customers standing nearby waiting for their orders. We waited about 15 minutes for our order to be called. They have daily specials and the one when we were there was a bbq brisket sandwich with tater tots. There was a good amount of brisket on the sandwich. The meat was flavorful but not the best bbq I have had. The tots were cooked perfectly and piping hot. The roast beef melt was excellent with plenty of meat on an excellent bun. The bread was slightly crunchy outside and soft inside. Of course, standing by the pastry cabinet as we waited to order caused a white chocolate raspberry scone, a piece of baklava, a French toast muffin, and a pumpkin spice muffin to follow us home. All were excellent, with the French toast muffin and the white chocolate raspberry scone earning top praise. The staff was very friendly even though they were quite busy. Calabash Deli deserves to be on the list of top places to try when in the area.

My wife and I did the VIP…read moretour and it was amazing - very well led by SAM who spoke well on how they make their spirits as he showed us around, helping us pick spirits for our sampling and leading us through the equipment then to the "secret" Speakeasy. We loved our time at Twelve 33, enjoying our visit with SAM and KEVIN, the food, the spirits and the general feeling of joy persistent throughout the facility. Highly recommend you work in time to visit! TOUR $29 per person gets you a very personalized tour with an employee - in our case, that employee was SAM TICE who we learned is the Assistant Distiller and Operations Manager so he definitely knows his stuff! On the tour, you start by picking your spirits that will be on your tasting flight. Yeah, it seems weird to pick them up front but then while you're on the tour in the back, their staff is pouring all your spirits so they are ready for you when you're done - very efficient! And don't worry, your guide will assist you in selecting spirits and there's a very descriptive menu to help you out as well. SPIRITS The spirits I tried were excellent and my wife enjoyed hers as well, starting with their Intemperance Vodka that both of us got and fell in love with. And that's saying something! We are both Belvedere fans as our number one vodka of choice, and it's a Rye vodka so normally we're not in on the corn/wheat types but this vodka was smooth, delightful and fun enough that we purchased 2 bottles on our way out. Beyond that, our tastes went different directions as I loaded up on whiskeys and my wife went the tequila and cream liquor route. My favorite was the Triple Oaked whisky which I also procured a bottle of as we exited SPEAKEASY Such a fun surprise - at the end of the tour, you open their speakeasy by uttering the password, and step back into time with early 1900's decor and music, plus your tasting flight waiting with water and pretzels for you to enjoy. They give you time to taste and also select a cocktail (included in the tour) from their menu which they bring to you to imbibe in this fun room! FOOD We only tried one item from their Small Bites menu - a flatbread - but it was awesome. Very interesting flatbread as it was smaller than I think we expected but the ingredients were perfectly balanced and appropriately sized - we had the BBQ Chicken pizza with BBQ sauce, roasted chicken, purple onion and 3 cheese blend. It was cute and the perfect amount of food for a snack before we moved on to dinner closer to our hotel. STAFF Besides SAM who gave us the tour, we met KEVIN OSBORN, the founder/owner/head distiller who swung by to say hello and chat for a moment. He was very nice and it was great of him to drop by. We had servers and other staff that were equally friendly and welcoming - a warm, enthusiastic group of people that all seem to truly love working at Twelve 33 Distillery, and it made our visit even better
