We just ate there yesterday.... The service was good.. the salads had no taste ... my chicken Parmesan was overcooked, and the sauce was very garlic and had no other taste at all.. we also had the Primavera and it was also not good at all. read more

I've eaten at Roberto's several times and the service and food is top notch. But tonight, with a reservation things went wrong from the time we walked in. The hostess said we did not have a reservation as they gave ours to someone else. Then, the waitress took a long time to get our order. It took over 30 minutes to bring wine and an app and over an hour to bring salads. The salad was lackluster - lots of lettuce, a slice of tomato and maybe some bite of cucumber. No bread or check ins. The waitress said they were short staffed. We made a comment about waiting over an hour for the salad and the waitress got huffy and mad. Our entrees were almost $40.00 each so this was not acceptable. We decided to leave and not wait another hour or be treated rudely. It's a shame as Roberto's is usually fine but I'm not in a hurry to return. It really bothers me to give two stars but I'm basing this on service and the time we waited. read more

Visited Roberto's for the first time. Parking lot was crowded as usual. Got a table in the bar area. Waitress was very nice and polite. We got the chicken Marsala and the Salmon Special. Very tasty and dinner included a salad & bread. All Entrees were a bit pricy but what the hell, that is how it is in this area. I will definitely return to try another Italian specialty. Have driven past this restaurant for years and have never given it a try until tonight. Made reservations the day of (highly recommended), so only took about 10 mins to get seated. They had a nice bar off to the lobby that was perfect for having a cocktail before dinner. Service was amazing! I ordered the chicken piccata and it was light and delicious. My friend ordered the shrimp scampi which seemed to be the exact same minus chicken (sub shrimp). Her son ordered the chicken Parm which was a nice portion and delicious! We made reservations in March - can't image what this place is like in the summer, but highly recommend for great Italian and wonderful service! read more

We had an outstanding dinner last night at Roberto's and were wonderfully attended to by Natalie. She is extremely friendly and knows the menu well. The decor is appropriately evocative of an Italian restaurant and the ambiance is both friendly and romantic. Italian is our favorite cuisine and we had one of the best Italian meals we have come across anywhere. I had the Grouper Neptune topped with crab meat and a grilled shrimp served over smashed potatoes and roasted vegetables, my bride had the Chicken Scallopini over vermicelli. Both were perfectly prepared by Chef Dave and came with a very fresh garden salad with homemade dressing and freshly baked bread. The flavors in both dishes were bright and complemented the entrees without overpowering them. The grouper was moist and carefully prepared. The portions are ample. The bar offers a good selection of wines, beers and cocktails. In addition to Italian and seafood, they also serve steaks and chops. We highly recommend Roberto's. read more

The bread and olive oil was good. It went downhill from there. I ordered the grouper Neptune which was supposed to consist of a grouper filet, crabmeat, shrimp and a sauce. I question whether it was really grouper. It had a watery, strange texture, not like a grouper filet. The crabmeat looked as if it were canned and there was one shrimp on top. The sauce was thick and tasteless. For a special dish, it was a huge disappointment and fairly pricey.. They could do so much better, we won't be going back. read more

The food is always good but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Server never returned to table after salads were brought. Someone else brought dinner out, salad plates were not removed from table. No offer to get any more drinks. Server was apologetic when she brought the check but at that point the experience was ruined. read more

We tried this place for the first time last night, and it was great. I have the salmon and my wife had a shrimp dish that she loved. Our waiter was good a little slow bringing our drinks but overall he did a good job. After years of passing it on vacation, my husband and I finally tried Roberto's this week. First and foremost, the service was excellent - not only by our waitress, but by all employees including the chef who stopped out to say hi and ask how our meal was. My husband is gluten intolerant and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate without us asking anything more than if they had a gluten-free menu. The food was excellent. We had the brussel sprout appetizer with bacon and it was amazing - potentially the spotlight of the whole meal. I had chicken parmesan and my husband had a NY strip. The portions were large and everything was delicious. We certainly won't wait another 10 years before hitting up Roberto's again! read more

Recently moved here and came across Roberto's restaurant, my hubby and I love us some good Italian food. Since the moment we enter the restaurant we were greedy super professional didn't have reservations but we were seated in 10 minutes and the ambience was so elegant. We have an amazing waitress on both occasion we have visit. The food was beyond amazing and delicious. I totally recommend the veal piccata and the chicken Parmesan, next time I need to try something different every time I go is the veal piccata i choose all the time. For dessert don't leave without trying the creme brûlée is sooo delicious. Also, I love how the chef comes by to assure you are enjoying. Wow! We had a great meal tonight at Roberto's. It was our first time dining there, but we will be back. I had the Shrimp and Scallop Tuscany and it was just loaded with seafood and tasty sauce! Last day of vacation, son wanted pasta. We decided to give them a try. We called and got a table right away, surprised the place was packed when we arrived, and we were seated immediately. We had a Filet mignon, an Italian Feast and Sweet Chili Thai Salmon. It was all perfectly cooked, large portions, and very tasty. The sides were all delicious. The pre meal bread was wonderful. Our server, Christian was very attentive but not overbearing, he took great care of us even through the restaurant was packed with a lot of people waiting to be seated. This is a high end restaurant, and worth every penny! Potions are large enough to share if you wish to do so! Finish with the best cheesecake!!! So good!!! read more

Wow!!! We were on our way to ocean isle to eat and passed Roberto's, so we decided to try it out. Boy are we glad we did. Waitress was very attentive. The food was out of this world! Went there with my mom and we both had great seafood dishes. I had a perfectly cooked piece of salmon with smashed Potatoes and grilled veggies. I was impressed with my meal. I enjoyed it all. Mom's Di Mía Seafood pasta was to die for, so much seafood in the dish and a killer sauce. That only thing that was just ok was the bread, ok but I could tell it wasn't made in-house. Great strong drinks! Loved the atmosphere and the staff was super helpful. As a party of Three, everyone enjoyed their meal except me. My only complaint was my steak bites came overdone and the menu states they only cook them med-well to well. That made them chewy and tough. In from out of town to do a half marathon. Came here to carb up and we weren't disappointed. Given the fact that we were here for the "off" season and there were a lot of other people here for the race (probably doing the same thing we were), it was busy, but we were able to make a reservation. You could tell the staff was probably not ready for "race weekend" but they seemed to handle it well. Our server was nice and personable and we had a good experience overall. The Chicken Alla Vodka was pretty tasty and our server Alexis did comment that the vodka sauce here was great. The bread came with olive oil with a splash of balsamic, there was definitely some garlic and another herb in there... so that was unique. The entrees came with salads... typical Caesar salad is what I chose...it wasn't over/under dressed... halfway through the salad, we all thought about the recent ecoli romaine lettuce scare, but I think we were in the green (pun intended). The restaurant itself is a standalone building and has a strange parking lot. I say "strange" because all the spaces are angled toward the "in" direction.... so there's not really a good flow for traffic. I guess it is the beach, so just take it easy and don't really stress about the parking lot... I did for a hot second. If there was a way to get out from the back of the lot... I did not see one... there's nothing better than playing chicken with people coming into the restaurant...but at least you will go on a full stomach... J/K. Inside has a homey feel to it... and the smells of the food in the kitchen really fill the space. Definitely a favorite local spot and I would come back to try their other menu options. read more

I had some guests staying with us for a few days and we went to Roberto's last night for dinner and just wanted everyone to know it was fantastic. Our server, Josh, was amazing. Had a wonderful dinner here Saturday evening. Reservation was good to have if you want a booth to sit in! The veal parmigiana was exceptional and the pork chop melted in your mouth it was so tender and seasoned perfectly. Dave waited on us and couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful with questions pertaining to the menu!. Bella was hosting this evening and cheerful and was able to keep the surprise that our daughter was picking up the tab to celebrate my birthday! So having moved from the NJ PA area to NC food has been a challange. We were so happy to find Roberto's. The food and service were awesome. Are waitress was attentive and timed are apps and dinner perfect. We started out with 2 apps, Bang bang shrimp and crab dip. The Bang Bang shrimp was cooked to perfection it was not over cooked or undercooked it was perfect. The bang bang sauce was just spicy enough not over powering all around gets a A from us. The Crab dip also came out warm amd creamy with a side of dipping chips. The dip was creamy with bits of crab and it was very flavorful but not fishy which made it enjoyable again A rated. Moving on to entrees I choose the Shrimp Scampi over Linquini they know how to prepare shrimp it was moist not rubbery cooked to perfection. The Scampi sauce was a mix of fresh garlic lemon parsley and butter and I believe a hint of white wine. It was a palatte of flavors to the mouth. Only thoughts on this would be the sauce could be a tad thicker, otherwise is was delcious. And really the dish is enough for 2 people. The 2nd entree was the special, Filit Neptune this consisted of what was a between an 6oz or 8oz piece of Filit Migon topped with Creamy Crab this was served over mashed potatos and squash and zucchini on the side. The filit was cooked to perfection and the crab mixture was good, would rather have had the potatos served on the side of dish instead of the meat on top. However it was a great filling meal and the medium rear came out just right. Dessert was Cheesecake with cherries they dont cheat on the size of slices agian enough for 2 the cheesecake was creamy and rich. So all the way around Robertos gets an A for us and we are thankful to have found them... It is a taste of home. Also prices are not bad total bill was $119.00 That was with one Cocktail.
