    Meatball Appetizers- so yummy

My new favorite for Italian. We loved the people, the service and best of all the food. Everything was really good. If I had to nitpick, I wish there were more mushrooms on the Marsala but the flavor was amazing. The chicken was so juicy. Frank was a great waiter!

Food and service was good. Ambiance leaves much to be desired. Pretty noisy when busy. It was also very expensive.

My grandfather is on hospice and is close to the ends while my mom and grandma have been taking care of him. On Mother's Day, we visited to help and had a pretty rough day. Before we left, we wanted to give my mom and grandma a nice meal for Mother's Day. We called in two ribeyes with potatoes, salad and bread. I did ask if they could take extra care of the order and explained our situation so they knew how important this meal was. Not only was the absolute perfection, they made sure we had extra bread and butter, not just a small piece for them to split. The attention to detail to make sure this important meal was able to transport and still be perfect was something that many restaurants don't do without a request, but you can tell that they give this level of detailed attention to every order. Inside the restaurant, we watched as they took the same level of care with every dish. This level of customer service alone is enough to warrant return business. The quality of the food is an added bonus at that point. 10/10 go here if you are in the area!

We tried Luca Italian Chophouse for dinner on Good Friday. Our stuffed banana pepper appetizer was excellent, with 3 large and moderately spicy peppers stuffed with sweet Italian sausage, served with a tomato sauce and topped with Ricotta. It was a very tasty appetizer. We split a small pizza for dinner. It was about 10" as specified with a fair amount of crust. The pizza crust was a little yeasty for my taste, but it was very good and I liked the crispy crust bottom. Toppings were generous and were of good quality. It was plenty for two people. Emboldened by the first two courses, we tried the cheesecake with caramel sauce for dessert. It turned out to be a small individual cheesecake about 4" in diameter topped with strawberries and caramel. It was OK but over priced at $14. The crust was too soft and flavorless although the cheesecake itself wasn't bad. The strawberries weren't of the best quality and should have been left off. The restaurant is definitely going for the upscale Italian feel and generally succeeds. Our server was friendly and very helpful, but was exceedingly slow. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised with Luca Italian Chophouse. It's definitely worth a try and we will probably eat there again the next time we're in the area. And by the way, the Easter Bunny was making its way down Main Street as we pulled out of the parking lot

Restaurant is nice ... kind of gave us a banquet feel when we were seated. Waiter was friendly and efficient. We started w/ a bottle of wine, but the wine menu had a font size of 7. Be sure to bring your glasses! I ordered the chicken piccata which is one of my favorite dishes to order. It was very saucy and flavorful. Didn't knock me off my socks - was pretty basic. My friend ordered the lobster & shrimp special served over pasta. It was good, but again - nothing that made it jump out as amazing. Overall the meals were good and affordable. Not sure this would be on our "must return" list of Italian restaurants. Many others in the area that are more authentic.

The venue is absolutely beautiful, with stunning spaces that photographed amazingly and created such a romantic, joyful atmosphere that lasted from the moment guests arrived until we danced late into the night. The entire staff was incredible--professional, warm, and attentive, making sure everything flowed seamlessly while treating us and our guests like family. A huge thank you to Annaleise, our coordinator, who was simply outstanding! From our first planning meetings through to the final moments of the evening, she was calm, organized, and always one step ahead, handling every detail so we could fully relax and soak in every second. She brought our vision to life perfectly, and because of her, the day was completely stress-free and flawless. Our guests are still talking about how gorgeous the venue was and how smoothly everything ran. If you're searching for a reception venue that combines breathtaking beauty, exceptional service, and a team that genuinely cares, look no further--we recommend it 100%!" This keeps all the enthusiasm and detail while accurately reflecting that only the reception was held there. Feel free to let me know if you'd like any other tweaks (shorter, more focus on specific elements like decor/lighting/food, etc.)--happy to refine it further!

We were a party of 7 for a 7:30om reservation last Friday, requesting outdoor seating so we could…read moreremain casual (indoor seating is more formal). In our reservation, it asks if we are celebrating a special event, which I clearly indicated we were: it was my husband's 50th birthday, which is why we were splurging on a nice meal on our last night here at the beach. We arrived on time and waited just a few minutes for our table to be ready. Server was very bubbly and nice, said she was also training someone new. She promptly took our drink orders. We had three cocktails, one mocktail, and three lemonades and waters. We placed our appetizer order of calamari and burrata mozzarella and asked for some bread to tie the kids over, the latter of which came out promptly, but our table was not provisioned with napkin/silverware bundles so we had no means to spread the butter. We asked someone for silverware. Then the appetizers arrived, but again we had no silverware. We waited about 5 mins as it got cold to flag our server down for utensils. The calamari, albeit no longer warm, was tasty. The burrata was as well, but they only give two small slices of crostini. We used our table bread to continue enjoying the mozzarella, balsamic glaze, etc., but the appetizer should have the diameter of the plate arrayed with slices of crostini. One cannot put a half slab of mozzarella onto a tiny sliver of bread. We ordered short rib, grouper, a burger, teo kids chicken tender meal, two filet mignons with bearnaise, and a side of Brussels because they were no longer carrying the broccolini on the menu. No complaints from guests on most of the entrees, but the filets were really charbroiled on the outside. Cooked to our desired temperature on the inside, but tasted like a charcoal briquette on the outside. Even slathering it with bearnaise didn't mask or cut the charcoal. The Brussels were just roasted, no flavor and nothing to write home about. And these entrees were quite pricey, so we were expecting steakhouse level perfection. The biggest disappointment was that, despite our advance notice that we were all there to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday, there was no mention of it from the staff. No birthday slice of cake brought out, no HBD acknowledgment of any kind. The drinks were good, service was good with a few hiccups, server was very nice and friendly, and much of the food was tasty. If we return, I'll probably come back for lunch instead. It just wasn't worth the $ we dropped on the dinner check, and it was not the special celebratory birthday dinner we hoped it would be.

My original review at their first location still stands, and the icy treats are still as good as ever. Friendly and quick service as well. The Deets: On this recent trip to OIB, I found that Sunset Slush at yet another new location on the island area of OIB, this time on Causeway Drive on the way into the main part of the island (replacing the one they had at the OIB Fishing Pier, apparently). And as I have said before in other location reviews, it still is a good frozen treat no matter which location you choose. Still liking my mainstay flavors of lemon, lemon-lime, and tangerine Italian ice as well as the Sonic flavored slush/Italian ice (lemon-lime and cherry together), I love them just as much as when I had my first one here many years ago. You can still get the small, medium, or "coozie" sizes as like all other locations and the cart that goes up/down on the beach sand itself. It definitely remains a "gotta have" when at OIB. This location appears to be shared with a dessert shop as well called Sandcastles Sweets and Treats that has ice cream and other sweet delights but I have only sampled my favorite Italian ice/slush treats here. Service each time on this trip has been friendly and quick to fill each order. Still two thumbs up for this chilly treat!
