A nice local spot that we decided To order takeaway from. I had a turkey sandwhich with peach compote that was very good! The sweet compote paired surprisingly well with the onion, Mayo, turkey, and bread. The sandwhich has a good filling serving of meat and toppings. My daughter kids meal of spaghetti was actually rather large. It was tasty too. Definitely a good value there. Only reason for 4 stars is because they were out of my first 3 choices of sides. So I settled on potato salad which was ok.. but just kind of filler. Worth a stop if in the area! Will have to try the pie next time!

Everything was pretty perfect as usual; food, service, atmosphere, we are never disappointed at Causeway Gourmet.

Amazing array of desserts and treats! All homemade! We had a lovely time for dinner, enjoyed their soup of the day and kids chose the psgettj (it was a hit!). Service was so great, incredibly friendly and patient with us. Ambiance felt like a neighborhood staple. Clean inside and out.

This mini local restaurant may be small but they made way for our huge party to have their rehearsal dinner. It got a little cramped for our size but their service was accommodating. We had place cards made so that the hosts and servers new who and what we've ordered on their menu... Their portions were big and a majority of our party ordered the steak with mash potatoes and asparagus. They cooked our steaks to a medium.. some more pink than others and they were able to make minor adjustments to ensure we were satisfied with the cooking off our steaks. The chicken marsala was another entree I really enjoyed. If I had more room for my belly I should've snuck towards the bakery and gotten some pie. We were so happy that we had great service and a great portion of food. The waitresses and waitors were attentive and had patience for our large party.

Second time getting takeout. First time I got the godfather sandwich with pasta salad. This time I opted for their beef enchilada lunch special. Both times food has been amazing and service fast and friendly.

Oh My God(father) this place is good! Based on the reviews, we came in with high expectations and they were indeed met. We had lunch in their rather plain, but in the process of being updated and expanded, dining room. We split the Godfather sub and the pear & walnut salad. Both were superb! The Godfather sub (OMG!) was as delicious as previously reported. It was stuffed with tender, marinated, thinly sliced grilled sirloin, sautéed onion and peppers, melted mozzarella on a oven toasted hoagie with pesto mayo. The salad was chock full of toasted walnuts, pear slices and Bleu cheese. The housemade Coconut Cake at $6 was killer! At the very least, get a slice (or 4) to go. Service was friendly and attentive. And sanitation score was an impressive 98.5 but bathrooms were out of paper towels and soap dispenser was broken off wall. Overall scores... Delicious food! But do takeout. This place is really noisy! Hard to have a conversation across the table. Get dessert. So good.

My family lives on the island so I've been coming to Drift for years. It's a bit pricey, but you…read morecan tell they use high quality ingredients and whoever curated the menu put a lot of time into it. The avocado toast, the veggie breakfast burrito, the coffee cake, the smoothies, and the iced black amber are my go to's and they never miss. The service is quick, even though I know they get crazy busy during the summer. As someone who understands service/cafe biz, I will always give leniency to workers who are busting it during high volume seasons. The people who don't understand that a wait will be expected when you have one good coffee shop on an island that hosts thousands of people every summer are dense. Be kinder to your service workers, people. The most recent time I visited Drift, I was excited to try the Acai bowl. After I ordered, I was told that unfortunately they were out of Acai. They refunded my money and I ordered a smoothie instead. I was ready to pay for my smoothie when the employee told me the smoothie was on the house since they were out of Acai. Great customer service. I've been visiting Ocean Isle since there were rinky-dink water slides in operation across from what is now Drift. It's been wonderful to see a successful, quality coffee shop on the island.

We chose Drift based on Yelp reviews and the menu choices available…read more It's a little coffe shop with a limited, but thoughtful, menu. The coffee was a good, bold brew. Mr. And I both ordered the market bowl. Quinoa, sweet potatoes, avocado, tomato, and a spring mix w a fried egg on top. It was beautiful! Then we bit into it. The sweet potato was barely on the brink of being frozen. The Quinoa was also cold...not just room temperature, but ice-cold! Avocado was way too cold as well. So, you can imagine what this did to the beautifully cooked egg... yep - turned it cold in a heartbeat. Really off-putting to bit into. Mr. went back inside and asked if they had a microwave to heat it up and the 'workers' just said that was they way it was supposed to be. Mr. tossed the entire thing in the trash and simply said "well, it's disgusting". You would think there would be a simple offer to heat it up, or some kind of remedy for the situation. They didn't give a crap. I'm pretty sure they flipped us the bird on the way out. Nice.

First time trying, and honestly won't be back…read more I'll start with the good. Place was clean, the service was excellent and very friendly, albeit slow as it wasn't very busy on this off season week. The friendly service is what upped the stars. Ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and a toasted everything with butter, and an iced coffee. Husband said coffee was good. We waited 25 min for something that should've taken less than 5. When it came out the everything wasn't toasted but we also didn't want to wait any longer. The bagels were definitely not boiled, and tasted like a piece of bread, not at all like a bagel. The size was ok, but for what we paid, just not worth it. I will stick to my rule of only eating bagels in NJ or north.

You stand in line to order and they bring the food to you when it's done. There's a dining room and a bar as well as patio seating. We ordered four bagels: one plain with grape jelly, one blueberry with strawberry jelly, one bacon egg and pepper jack on Asiago and one bacon, egg, American and bacon scallion cream cheese on jalapeño. We also order two coffees - one iced one hot, orange juice, a sunrise smoothie and a mimosa from the bar. Our sweets order was: donut holes, an Oreo donut and a cinnamon roll. The bagels were all very fresh and made perfectly. The coffees were custom orders and delicious - I had a hot cinnamon hazelnut coffee and it was an amazing combination! The donut holes were our favorite sweet! You could tell they were made fresh! The service was outstanding and the ambience was ideal. The kids loved watching the surfers on the big waves playing on the television! Definitely a must visit spot at OIB!
