We really enjoy Sarah's kitchen usually! However this last time we went I got cross contamination with shellfish which I am very allergic to and I explained that and was assured I would be ok that shrimp doesn't go near what I was getting.. needless to say I had an ambulance meeting halfway down the road from there when I left ...... the breakfast and lunch are both amazing here but I'm not sure if I'll be able to return because I fear for my safety. read more

Sarah's Kitchen is a staple at Sunset Beach. They run a deal on breakfast for $6.99 and they carry some bagel flavors from a local place which are very good. I ordered an omelet with bacon and cheese and this was cooked well. This came with home fries and a biscuit but I didn't try. The others in my party had a grit bowl and loved it. We ate outside. Sarah's is easy to find and convenient. They also serve lunch. And you can bring your pooch if sitting outside which is nice. read more

We were informed when we ordered that they were out of grits (they are located across the street from a grocery store). We ordered sausage patties and both got links. When we asked the server about it, she said they were out of patties, too, but that the kitchen is bad about not telling them....seriously? The breakfast was cold, the serving sizes were small for the price, and the service was not good. Waste of our money and we won't be back. read more

First of all, I'd like to compliment whoever handles the marketing for this establishment, bc it's really stepped up their game. The daily FB posts, etc have to draw people in just by the photos ... as it did for us! Finally gave it a try after seeing the amazing posts. Inside is small, but also fits the small town feel of Sunset. Outside patio looks beautiful and is dog friendly. I ordered the corned beef hash, but substituted the two eggs for a cup of sausage gravy, because that is my favorite. Everything was absolutely amazing... Corn beef hash portion was a little small, but was also the perfect portion without feeling overstuffed. Sausage gravy was delicious and the hashbrowns were seasoned perfectly. My friend ordered the hash bowl and said it was flavorful and delicious! Our waitress Kylie was so friendly and accomodating (and has super cute dogs ). We will be back! Great place for breakfast - next time we will try for lunch! read more

We live near Philadelphia so we know cheesesteak and Sarah's has a very good cheesesteak. The steak seasoning was very flavorful. I wish it had just a little more meat. We also like Mary's steak fries which were crunchy, tender and perfectly seasoned. The service was friendly and the ambiance is clean and bright. We went for breakfast and they had an amazing omelette and pancakes. The bagel however tasted like it had been frozen and not fully warmed up which made it stale. The service was quick until it was time for the check and we waited quite some time before they brought it to us. They did have live music outside during breakfast hours which was nice. read more

On my recent visit I ordered 2 bacon and egg on bun with extra bacon and a soft drink. Went to pay and it was $29.13 after tax. I was at a loss for words. Drink was 3.95 and extra bacon was 4.95 per sandwich(2 slices bacon) Considering the food was made already, I didn't want to be the guy who made them toss it so I paid and left. I have made sure I tell everyone I can about this experience. This is absolute greed and way beyond actual inflation. People wonder why more people don't frequent these local establishments more often and it is this over charging for items that can purchased elsewhere for so much cheaper. It is due to this and also the egg was dripping with buttery/oil and the bacon was so tough like it had been sitting in a warmer for a while. This is a lesson learned. Hardee's is in the same parking lot. I can eat there every morning I work for the price of these 2 sandwiches that left alot to be desired. If your money is easy to part with then by all means go ahead. read more

First time we ate here earlier in the year, the shrimp burger was great...lightly browned and succulent. Maybe it had been grilled? Went earlier this week and, sadly, will not go back. The shrimp burger was fried crispier than an overcooked chicken nugget and our Cole slaw was extremely soupy. Is there a new cook? So disappointed. read more

The omelet was spot on and so good. The home potatoes weren't. I do not like or use seasoned salt on my fries or home fried potatoes. Yuk. The rest was okay except our waitress left us hanging on refills the two times we needed them and we had to ask the guy bussing tables to refill us. ‍‍ The omelette was banging though. read more

Unfortunately, this is one of the worst breakfast meals I've had at a restaurant. I ordered the breakfast platter. The scrambled eggs tasted like they were a chopped up omelet, the grits were WAY too salty, and the biscuit was very dry. It was so bad I couldn't finish my food and left hungry. The good: the servers are attentive, kind, and hard working. The inside and outside are welcoming to guests. The coffee was hot. The not so good: the gravy and biscuits taste like powdered black pepper gravy mix from Sysco with some sausage added. It was bland and tasted like a powdered gravy should.... Casual spot for breakfast and lunch. The food is great. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast burrito and the country bennie. My wife loves the fluffy pancakes. There is a covered patio where we usually eat and it is dog friendly! Service is attentive with coffee coming nonstop. Our go to spot for breakfast. read more

Decent breakfast choice. The staff were extremely kind. The food was average. They have these cool fans on the outdoor tables where we dined to keep the fly's away. I've never seen anything like that. They worked great. Sarah's has more outdoor dining than they do indoor. read more

First let me say we'll go back We went for breakfast and got a seat right away I ordered the country fried steak platter. My wife got 2 eggs and bacon platter. Hers was great. They fried my steak to death. The gravy on the steak was great and the biscuit was great. Home fries were under cooked and I ordered them crisps. When we go back I'll get a gravy biscuit with bacon and try the home fries again. Sweet tea was good. read more

Can't comment on the food as the three waitresses stood around chatting inside and left me outside waiting for 15 minutes. I walked back in and they were all still in the same spot. 4 tables, all had food, no excuse for the poor service. They realized they forgot me and I just shook my head and walked out. It truth I don't know about the food. They were open Thanksgiving day and we had a reservation. We got there on time but they weren't able to seat us. That's was fine, they were busy and we waited. The problem came 20 minutes later. During that time there were no new customers and when their person came out we were informed they were out of turkey and sweet potato. So out of the 2 mains they were out of one and of the 4 sides out of 1. They should have known they were out when we checked in as those already seated would have ordered already. It's a poor way to treat customers. On top of that 2 in our party of 7 don't eat pork so they wouldn't have had a main. They had advertised they would have a full menu that day but they didn't and they weren't willing to discount the $25 a plate. Needless to say we weren't very happy. read more

Took them ten minutes to seat us, and refused to serve us breakfast because it was too close to 11, after ordering lunch it took 35 minutes to come out. The waitress was extremely blunt and impatient and let all of our waters go empty until we had to ask for refills. I give the food a 6/10 and the service a 1/10. It has the uncanny feeling of a gas station without the gas. Anyone who would give this place anything more than 2 stars almost definitely has mental issues However the breakfast here could just be absolutely amazing but of course we will never know. read more
