Buffalo wings- Described on menu as deep fried wings. I asked the waitress if they were 'naked'. She said yes. They were noT. There was sO much bland breading I couldn't find the chicken. just sad.

BIRRIA is the MVP!!! This diner has a lengthy menu with great variety, but we were sold on the special offerings of Birria in essentially any form: tacos, quesadilla, soup, omelette. I went with the omelette and it was the best I've ever had. We also tried the breakfast scrambler waffle that had veggies and meat pressed into a waffle topped with avocado and a creamy sauce. Our bellies are full but there are no regrets!!! Our server was also fantastic and so attentive and friendly.

If you haven't ever been to this place you are missing out. I have been coming here for years! I get the same thing - the southerner- extra gravy- over easy eggs- hash browns and toast and IT NEVER FAILS to knock my socks off. The sausage gravy is amazing, I've had other food here and I haven't been unsatisfied. The service is AMAZING, legit, better than most places these days. Its a real hole in the wall, feel like a small home town breakfast place after church type of environment. If you come here and do not enjoy everything i would say it would be your fault! Must come! P.S. I am not local and travel 40 mins to come.

I'm still doing keto and the Kettle Diner allowed me to stay on it. A perfect meat omelet and I skipped the toast and the potatoes even if I was really craving them. The restaurant was super busy at 10am on a Sunday and super crowded with tables packed pretty close together. Our waitress was hustling and stopped a number of times to refill coffee and ensure we had what we needed. [Review 18886 overall - 3371 in North Carolina - 2409 of 2022.]

From the start the restaurant was okay I got my drink and it was good but the wait for the food was a little longer then it should have been but considering it was mothers day so it was fine. the vibe was good and welcoming and the heaters were on and it was raining so that was also good. When the food got here it was good I liked the chicken tenders they were crispy and juicy but filling and the potato salad was also very filling and good. Over all I liked it so did my mom and family I would recommend this place.

People hype this place up but the food is very average diner food. The service is always amazing tho, never had a bad server.

Just okay for a diner. Nothing to write home about. Service was good though. Portions are just the right size.

The banana pudding ice cream flavor will have me coming back every day of our vacation!…read more We stopped here our first night for an easy dinner. We immediately were enthralled by the antiques adorning the walls. Yes, things are a little dusty but an antique collector knows that you sparingly clean these treasures to avoid destroying the authenticity. We ordered standard diner fare - burgers, fries, steak & cheeses, milk shakes - topping everything off with ice cream! The teenaged staff were attentive and polite, even eager to share their favorite flavors to help us decide. Everyone enjoyed their meals but my oldest said his steak & cheese was the best he'd had though it was smaller portion than he would have liked. All in all, this is a great little spot when you're looking for a quick bite.

I REALLY hope this was a one off but I am worried it was not. What changed? The ground beef. Not sure if they got a different supplier or they are trying to cut costs but neither scenario is good because the meat is horrible. I will try it one more time to be sure but IF this is the new norm- I will not be back, like ever. If it's a cost savings plan- this never works. You end up alienating your core customer base to save a few pennies. It's not like this place is cheap. I'm paying a decent price but I expect a decent burger. Please Island Delights- don't do us like that.

The cheeseburger was cooked well, juicy, and satisfying, paired perfectly with the sweet potato fries that had just the right crunch. Classic fries were golden and crispy, while the onion rings were thick, well-battered, and tasty. Service was another highlight: our server was friendly, polite, and attentive throughout the meal. The only drawback was the automatic 20% gratuity added for our party of five, which felt a bit unexpected. The atmosphere brought an old-time diner feel, with a nostalgic charm that made the experience memorable. Overall, Pops Diner delivered on food quality and service, with just one small caveat on the gratuity policy.

The food...it was all somewhere between meh and awful except for the potato salad; it was all grossly overpriced. I had $28.50 crab cakes that came out burnt. So sad. My husband had $27 grilled shrimp, and his fries had so much pepper they were barely edible. Our meal with tip came to over $70. Food comes in a plastic basket, drinks come in styrofoam. Nowhere on earth was this a $70 experience. Don't tell me "oh it's all that pricey at the coast. Nonsense. For comparison, we ate at SeaWitch and had perfectly cooked mahi sandwich and a rocking angus burger with sides for $45 and we look forward to going there again. POP's is a deep fryer restaurant - if you like almost everything plunged into a deep fryer, this might be the place for you. We wanted to like it because the ambiance was fun, but it's a solid nope for us. It gets two stars for the darling staff. That's the only thing that saved it from a one start review
