The first thing you should know about this restaurant is the name is actually Jay's Country Kitchen. I tell you this because I don't want you not stopping because it doesn't say Jeff's outside. Any who. What great breakfast. I'm from the South and have had my share of grits but what they do here with grits is freaking incredibly delicious. I literally don't have the words to describe how great they are to eat. Just trust me. Get the grits. The eggs were expertly cooked and liver pudding was perfectly spicy and meaty. The linked sausages were also fantastic. This will be our go to place for breakfast the next time we are visiting family here. Highly recommend. When the food finally came it made chicken was covered in onions. I waited for our waitress to ask for a knife, my husband finally flagged another waitress down and asked for one. She didn't get me one either. I finally had to get up again and go to the front to ask for a knife where I was told they had to wash one. Finally got a knife. Cut open my chicken and the thick portion was pink. Needless to say I didn't eat it. BTW there were empty tables everywhere. They weren't busy at all. I could understand about some of this if they were. She was literally tending to 4 tables. No excuse for pink chicken.
