The biscuits look to be the show stopper here and I am disappointed I didn't get them. The pancakes were ok, more chewy than I like. The service was good as well. I was slightly disappointed in this place. I kept hearing from the locals that this place had…read moreamazing foods. The wait was not long upon walking in, but Saturday afternoon was busy. Our server, Isis, was sweet. She listens and made changes or adjustments where necessary. The ambiance gave a lounge feel. Maybe that is what they want....but I would say that the decor and look needs to be updated. The restaurant gave me a vibe of a BB Kings location, with less funding. The food was so disappointing!! My husbands chicken was cooked too hard. My shrimp and grits only had one andouille sausage and needed more salt . I will try it again, and I'll change review if needed. For now, I will say it won't be my first choice in busing a North Carolina again.

We were so excited for a new restaurant to open in town but I'm personally hesitant to come back…read more Everything looks so nice and clean but the smell inside had me wanting to turn right around and go somewhere else. But we were willing to just try it. We watched the staff make a dirty soda and it took two people and about 10 minutes to make one. It was a little excessive considering it's a soda, syrup and cream. We ordered our meals to go and when we got home I was heavily disappointed. Our drive home isn't even that far either and we sat down to eat right away. The big baller was soggy straight down the middle from the over abundance of sauce. It was even toasted so it should have been okay. I actually couldn't even eat it as a sandwich it was so bad. So $12 for three meatballs to eat by themselves with no bread was expensive. My husband had the Momma D and he said it was nothing special. The "beef gravy" is an au jus and he said that was better than the sandwich itself. The only redemption was quite literally the tomato basil soup. I throughly enjoyed that.

This was our second visit here and let's just say it does not disappoint. It has been about a year…read moresince we came down here and this is our must stop for a late lunch early dinner. We brought our other family members here with us this trip and everyone really enjoyed their meals and the service. The service is impeccable, they definitely provide you with that southern hospitality and welcoming spirit. The inside is very clean with plenty of seating and it's very tastefully decorated. The hot dogs are the bomb, I played it safe this time and went with two dogs with mustard on onion and sauerkraut, and the buns are extremely fresh and hotdog are full of flavor. That's what makes this place so special...... The shoestring french fries are done to perfection. They're not greasy and are very nice and crisp and well prepared. The buffalo chicken salad was done to perfection, and it was full of flavor and tasted amazing. This is one of the better cheesesteaks in the area we feel, a very generous amount of meat and cheese on a fresh several. You will not be disappointed with it for sure. I had the opportunity to meet the owner again and he is such a genuine individual, you can tell he puts his heart and soul into this restaurant and guess what ? They are in a process of opening another location some more people can enjoy their food and their vast way of hotdog selections !!!!! We did have the opportunity to try the peanut butter and jelly hotdog, which the owner brought over to us to try and let's just say we are sold on it . It has such a great flavor and is a very unique combination and you can not go wrong with it. Thank you for letting us give that a try. It was really really good. So in a nutshell, we highly recommend Dog Slingers We look forward to our next visit to this area and stopping here for lunch or dinner thank you so much for providing such amazing food and the creative side of hotdogs! Almost forgot they do breakfast sandwiches in different breakfasts which from looking at the menu are well were stopping for !!
