I came in here to get some locally roasted beans for my new espresso machine. The beans are delicious. I had never had their coffee before but I saw good reviews. I got their signature roast and it's great- no complaints. The downside is the parking isn't awesome to get in and out of and there was a young child, I assume one of the employees, behind the counter and everywhere. I am all about family friendly businesses and allowing working parents to adjust when needed but he was running around, to the point where I had to jump back, and all over the areas where they make the drinks which will have me avoid this place in the future. read more

From all the coffee shops I visited while in North Carolina this was the only one I visited twice. Skylar was very welcoming and helpful for both of my visits. The latte options were great. I like my drinks to taste a bit more coffee forward versus the sweet syrup. They do use a lot of Monin products here and I believe that makes a difference. This is a nice place to grab a coffee and have a chat with other guests or even the barista. The ambiance is definitely what you expect from a local coffee shop. read more

Loved this coffee spot! We were visiting in town and needed a strong pick me up. With a quick search we found Cumberland and saw the reviews were really good. We both got lattes (one iced and one hot) half sweet and they were PERFECT. Just sweet enough but not over powering and the espresso gave us the energy legs we needed to get through our travels. Awesome coffee great smoothies! I came in today for my weekly farmers box and decided to order smoothies for the kiddos and an americano for me. All items were done well. I will say a microwave for pastries would be a good addition. He downside is parking is limited for the store front as well as comfortable seating inside. There is only one couch and the rest of the seating is high top. Customer service was quick but to be honest not very nice. The woman behind the counter couldn't crack a smile if she tried. When working in the food industry, a smile goes a long way. These days it is difficult to find one. All in all it is a great business but there is room for improvement. I'll be back! read more

I was kind of surprised that 1 iced coffee, 1 hot coffee (both large and with syrup), and a pie was $17+... so over $20 with a tip. She repeated back my order and I confirmed. Later I looked at the receipt and they charged me for iced lattes (which are $1-2 more per drink). Kind of a bummer. It was good, but very expensive for what it is. We will probably skip this spot the next time we are visiting the family in Hope Mills. read more

Loved my first stop here. I am new to the area and stopped in today for a treat. Frozen coffee is my go to sweet treat and this place didn't disappoint! Liz was working and she and I chatted for a bit and she was super sweet. She made my frozen mocha exactly to my liking, it was delicious. Glad to know there's a good coffee spot a few miles from my fiancés house since I will be visiting often. The pastries and muffins also looked delicious. This is a nice quiet spot for studying or just reading as well. Fully recommend this spot for a fresh cup of coffee or a sweet treat. By far the best coffee joint I've found in the Fayetteville and hope mills area. Looking forward to returning soon to try other menu items! read more

Nearing the end of a 500 mile day along I-95 there was a need for a good cup of joe before hitting rush hour on the final leg.  Yelp came thru with Cumberland Coffee Roasters in the Hope Mills area.   The short?  Great coffee!  I had a French pressed cup of the Cumberland's Blend.  It is their medium roast house blend.  Wonderful flavor!   I also had a frou frou latte drink, some malt vinegar & sea salt chips, and oatmeal raisin cookies; all of which I enjoyed as well.   The shop had decent seating and decor, wi-if, was clean, and had pleasant (to me) music (jazz vocal standards).  The barista (and owner) Juan was great; readily sharing his knowledge about the coffees they served. He even showed me their roaster!  Pretty neat as I had never seen one before.  They also sell a few neat craft items.  I bought hand made Valentine card from PeQaBob Crafts (available on Etsy.com).  The craft maker, Virginia Roles was actually there to teach a small class and helped me pick my cards  (so did Juan).  Overall a great coffee stop.  I will be back. read more

Great little coffee shop. Nice atmosphere, good for studying. I wish I could give a 4.5 because they don't offer pour overs but they did have an extensive selection of espresso based drinks. I personally prefer trying different roasts of coffee but I still can't be too unhappy (not the Starbucks kind but the real coffee). The owner is very friendly and passionate about his drinks. This was my first visit today. This place is very quaint and relaxing. My iced soy latte was prepared quickly and tasted delicious. It had a strong espresso undertone which is the kind of kick I was looking for today. The cheese danish was fantastic. Get it warmed if you get it! The atmosphere was welcoming, they even have a free selection of paperback books to read while you're sipping your fav caffeinated beverage. Don't pass this by, stop in and give it a shot. read more

Considering the context, which is kind of a nowhere town with only 90s type Jamaican Me Crazy coffee shops, this place is great.
