Very nice staff. Great environment. Horrible coffee and food. Ordering anything without syrup you will taste it. Staff need real training at a class by pro baristas. Coffee under extracted. Milk not properly frothed for the drinks people are ordering, lattes don't get a froth cap 3 inches thick. They are 100% not dialing in beans but just putting grinder beans in a portafilter and running pressured water through it. Now to the food. I ordered a tuskin sandwich. I was given Deli meat chicken with frozen bacon and a Walmart quality bread that was so soggy. I personally won't be coming back. Which I hate because the staff is great but they need management that know about coffee and how to make coffee. read more

LOVE! New in the area and still getting the lay of the land... I occasionally treat myself to a coffee and today I met a new friend (my first friend here!) The place is cute and cozy. Lots or different tables and chairs. I do love that they have a drive through window which is awesome for people on the run. Never having been here the gal helping me (recently moved from CA sorry didn't catch her name) was very helpful as I didn't know what I wanted. The Vanilla Latte was decent. It was sweet but you could still taste the coffee. It cost about $6 for a 16oz. I'm not sure the reason the coffee is overpriced. They seem to have a variety of coffees for sale. The pound is about $18 and the half pound $11. The atmosphere is about what you'd expect from a coffee shop. The have a small drive through. I would have given it five stars but the barista made interacting uncomfortable. I would have purchased beans had it been more welcoming. You could here the gals gossiping loudly. Great coffee shop to walk in for quick service, stay a while or use the drive thru. They have all the regulars you'd expect to see on a coffee shop menu, with flavors galore, but I absolutely love they have special flavors for seasons (whatever). I went in shortly after valentines and saw their special celebratory drinks so cute and always new creations to try. I go here practically everyday. My wife loves their frappuccinos, specifically the Java Chip Frappe, and their Chicken Salad Croissant, is legitimately the best I have ever had. Coffee is meh. Usually tastes bad, I hate to say, because I reallllllly want to love this place because it's so close to the house! But it's just not worth five dollars if it's burnt or mixed poorly, to be honest. The food is great though, we've never been disappointed there. They also are kind of unfriendly here - and take a solid ten minutes - because it seems like there is only ever one person working and they always seem stressed out. I know they have new owners, and we've given a few chances since they took over, and still feel the same. Big bummer. read more

Fantastic service, veteran owned, locally owned, yummy snacks and tasty sandwiches! I love the creativity of jitterbugz menu, it changes all the time, and of course you can customize your drink anyway you like it. The baristas are great at pairing snack suggestions with your coffee selection. The beans are always fresh and glossy. I also really love how much they support local businesses! Coffee selection was very diverse, different flavors for hot and iced coffee with seasonal flavors as well. The issues are with presentation. The menu is painted on the wall which is very hard to read, with an additional one at the counter. There are no prices listed anywhere. Ordered two coffees, wasn't given an option for hot or iced she just made it hot. Ordered two sandwiches but I guess the woman never got the 2nd sandwich on the order and left before I could ask; never saw her again. Overall, the coffee was good but very sweet. The sandwich's was good but very small and pricey. 7/10 for quality but 4/10 for service. Left feeling hungry and unappreciated. read more

Unfortunately, this place is very hit or miss when it comes to the quality of service and the quality of coffee/other drinks and food. There is nothing significant about the atmosphere, it's pretty much the same as every other coffee place. I'm not really a "drive through" person, so I this is solely based on my inside experiences. I've had amazing service, excellent coffee, and the absolute best breakfast sandwiches on more than one occasion! However, I have also stood at the counter for over fifteen minutes waiting for service, while watching three employees tag team a single drive through order, and then completely disappear off into the back for like five minutes before acknowledging my existence and taking my order. I have ended up with burnt coffee and barely toasted breakfast sandwiches, an order that was definitely not mine because they accidentally gave my order to someone else and didn't have what was needed to remake my order. So again, very hit or miss and very dependent on who is working the days you go. read more

I'm really impressed with the variety here! They had easily 30 different syrup flavors to choose from and another 15-20 combinations. You'll never get bored with their drinks. They also sell flavored coffee grounds which I love. A lot of the flavors sound rich and sweet but I hear they're very subtle- I'll have to try them soon. read more

I ordered a pomegranate smoothie and my friend ordered a straight decaf coffee and blueberry muffin. Upsides Great layout and ambiance. There are couches and plenty of tables and chairs. Prices are reasonable. Great selection of beverages, including coffee, teas, smoothies, and juices. I love that they have loose leaf teas! Those are hard to come by, so I always appreciate finding a cafe that serves that. Decent selection of baked goods. Not much of a savory selection, so if that's your thing, your choices are limited. Good service. The girls behind the counter are nice and willing to explain the menu to you. I almost always end up asking for a glass of water when I'm at a cafe and they gave me one without a fuss. They also sell whole coffee beans and various other sundries, like lotions and soaps, bracelets, bags, etc... It adds to the local and quaint vibe of the place, which is great. It really feels like a mom and pop shop, rather than a commercial chain. Downsides My smoothie was too sweet. My friend ordered it later and also made the same observation. I also don't think they put any yogurt to give it better texture, which I would prefer. But I'm selective about my smoothies. :P Word of caution It appears that after school hours and end of work hours bring lots of kids into the cafe, so this is a warning of the chaos and mess that comes with children on the premises. Final Answer- My main reason for not giving a 5 star rating is because I didn't try much on the menu and what I did try, I wasn't completely satisfied with. Jitterbugz is such a good spot for coffee. They have a very extensive menu, that can be a little daunting at first, but honestly everything I've tired has been delicious. I typically go for their seasonal drinks more than ordering from the main menu. My current favorites are their honeysuckle iced coffee, and the lavender love (which I order with chai instead of espresso). Seriously so good! This is by far one of the best coffee shops I have ever been to! The baristas are always kind and take the time to get to know you. When you walk in; they'll ask you if you want "your regular". And then, if you're not in a rush, they are happy to have you sit at the counter and chat. Now for the drinks.. any drink is offered hot, iced, or blended. They have SO many flavor combinations. I stopped by looking for a place with free wifi to get out of the house and was pleasantly surprised. Lots of cozy seating and cute gifts available. They have a HUGE list of flavors and choices - much more than Starbucks or any other coffee shop I've been to before. I especially appreciated the number of sugar free options they had. :) It's more expensive than stopping at the gas station around the corner, but it's not too ridiculously priced and you can definitely taste a huge difference. Located kind of out there, didn't think I'd find it. great atmosphere, nice couches, definitely a place to stay around and chill, not many places to sit outside if you were to want enjoy the weather. They get their coffee from a place in Appalachian, but on our visit my boyfriend got a regular coffee and it was cold when he got it and I got the German chocolate cake frapp and the coffee was in a pitcher and was already cold not fresh from the espresso machine which I have never seen.
