Located in a large modern shopping center, Matilda's stands out as not quite belonging and that the shopping center was built around it. It's a drive through only. A large menu focused on flavored lattes. I got a traditional latte and it's on the light side. I also tried the seasonal waffle which had a maple and sugar dusting. Waffle is on the soft side. They also had a cat fundraiser at the time and I love seeing that give back to the community. Good service. Casual. Drive thru only. Please come and create your own adventure. read more

Always great! Every kind I've tried so far here is really good. The employees are nice and the price such a great deal. Less than Starbucks and tastes better! Plus you're supporting a local business & some kitties. Food truck version of the drive-through in Sanford. I have no idea what the food is like, but they've sold me on the Verbena Japanese Matcha with honey and lemon. Instant fan with just one sip. It took a while to read the menu (it's huge), which in itself is unusual for a food truck. Although seriously tempted by the aroma of the waffles, I went a different direction. Okay. I've already written about how good the matcha was, but I can't help myself. It was incredibly good. There is the theory that repeating something three times helps with permanence and memory imprinting so I have to write it again: the matcha was good. It's now in my memory. If everything is as good as that, I might have to make the trek to Sanford to start sampling everything else. read more

Just visiting the area and this place is in a little hut in front of Marshall's and Hobby Lobby, behind Buffalo Wild Wings. It is now called Matilda's. We were pulling a trailer so I walked up to the window but it is set up for drive through. I ordered the Sweet Dreams iced latte, made with cupcake and raspberry syrups. It was soooo good!! If I have time tomorrow I will stop by again and try something else. It appeared to be run by a mom and her two sons. They were so nice!! read more

i loveeee hitting this place before work. i am addicted to the açaí bowls and the matcha latte. their waffles are also to die for , you don't even need syrup (no seriously i thought i would need syrup because i always need syrup for waffles but these waffles are just different in the BEST way !) i definitely recommend this place. the staff are always so so so sweet and i always enjoy talking to them. they also give discounts for military , LEO , students , and other first responders. read more

Wow! I recently moved to Sanford and I was hoping I'd find some great gems down here. Well, Matildas is definitely one of those! Honestly I will never go to the Starbucks again. Matildas has everything Starbucks doesn't-- unique flavors, better prices, kids sizes, quality, availability bowls, waffles (omg so good!) and she is a small business owner! It is a no brain-er! I have tried all the shops in Sanford and this is my favorite. I like Dirty Chai Lattes, my little likes a regular chai latte, and my husband like a chocolate drink. We have had consistent great drinks here. The wait is never long and the baristas are always super nice. I love when shopping small works out to be superior product/service. read more

the shop is absolutely adorable, and i love the cat painting on the back. they have a bunch of options, not including their seasonal drinks! i have heard the waffles are really good so i am going to have to try them. the girl who took our order was really nice and it was actually fairly quick to get our coffee. read more

They recently opened a new cafe in Cary, NC inside the Northwest Cary YMCA. The cafe is a great place to chill, chat, or get some work done (especially after hitting the gym). The barista is friendly and personable. Great vibe here, spacious too. read more

As a self-proclaimed Northwest (Portland, Oregon) coffee snob, I was thrilled to find this gem! I moved here a couple of years ago and had been struggling to find a go-to coffee place around Sanford until this darling little place popped up. Not only is Fritz super-sweet and personable, but she takes her coffee seriously and has always been more than willing to alter a drink to what I'd like, or offer suggestions to one of the many drinks she can prepare. She uses Larry's Coffee, which is one of the few quality coffees that I've found in this area. I haven't tried the waffles yet, but I plan to the next time I visit. I've never been disappointed at Roasted & Toasted. I try to visit often when I'm in Sanford. Nice little drive thru coffee place right in the shopping center near the new Marshals and Ross. They sell great coffee and the waffles are even better! The owner is such a nice and genuine person, you can tell she's all about making the costumer happy! Tries to make your order customized toward what you like and the waffles are seriously delicious. She even through some chocolate ones for me to try. Did go there one day and had cinnamon dolce latte seemed to be too much milk, wasn't the owner who made it but another employee but the only time. Wow! That was the BEST chocolate waffle I have ever had. When she first offered me a waffle I had to think if I really wanted to take one home and sit and eat it with a fork but I was totally wrong! She handed it to me in the perfect wrapper so I could enjoy it on my way. I almost turned around for another! The Almond Joy was also delicious. I can't wait to tell everyone I know about this place. Coffee was so good. The waffle was amazing. The only thing I would suggest is adding small boxes,silverware, syrup and napkins in a bag. They give it to you in a little bread bag, powdered sugar and syrup in a bag makes a terrible customer experience in a drive thru. Very delicious and great service just need to think the product through. read more
