If you're ever in Sanford and craving authentic Mexican ice cream or snacks, this spot is…read moredefinitely a must-stop. The place is clean, welcoming, and always busy, which says a lot on its own. Most of the staff are younger, so you won't quite get that Chick-fil-A level of customer service, and the workspace can look a little messy at times, but honestly, that's mostly because they stay busy. It's nothing that would keep me from coming back. I personally come here for the raspados de Tamarindo; a shaved ice topped with a homemade tamarind sweet sauce that is absolutely worth it every time. On this visit, I also grabbed a Mexican-style elote (corn on the cob), and if you've never had one... you're seriously missing out. It's topped with mayo, cheese, lime juice, and Tajín. I know it might sound a little unusual if you've never tried it, but don't knock it till you do, you might just become hooked.

I waited to make this review to see how the manager would handle the issue. It was handled poorly…read more I have been ordering the signature s'mores iced latte for over a year. About 6 months ago I was told that I need to be specific when ordering it and refer to it as the SIGNATURE s'mores because there are multiple beverages. Every 3 out of 5 times when I order the drink it has to be fixed and remade. This clearly at this point is not a me issue and a training issue. I understand stuff happens but when you are paying 9 dollars for one drink and then you get none of the toppings that are supposed to come on it, it's frustrating. I understand they were out of marshmallow fluff today, but we weren't even told that until they brought the drink to our car. I called the store to see if we could resolve the issue. The manager calls me back to tell me I need to now specifically not only tell them that it's the s'mores signature latte but how to make it with all the toppings. It is not my job to train your staff to make a drink you provide on your menu.

At least 3 employees clearly saw me standing there and nobody acknowledged me or even said they'd be with me in a minute. On top of that, they were out of the large cups, so they had to split the smoothies into two kids cups. The whole place just felt very unorganized. I understand they were trying to get orders done, but the lack of communication and customer service was a little ridiculous. Even just acknowledging customers and saying you'll be with them shortly goes a long way.
