So glad I found this place. We moved to the state from Minneapolis which I feel has a great boba tea scene. You could walk around and every corner would have a tea place. Great small, quaint spot with great ambience in the heart of Sanford, on Main St. The customer service was great and the wait was not long. We had a mango-strawberry smoothie, a strawberry banana smoothie, and a taro boba. My kids thought there drinks were delicious l, and so did I. We will be back again! read more

A little diamond in the rut! Not many different dessert options but here there's boba drinks, edible cookie dough, rolled ice cream, cookies and macarons and more. On the off chance we get to come here, we've always had good experiences. This time we ordered a small cookies and cream milk tea with chocolate popping boba, a large Java chip frappe add peanut butter and a strawberry cheesecake frappe. The strawberry cheesecake frappe was perfect. The cookies and cream frappe was perfectly made for our daughter. The Java chip frappe tastes watered down. After a few sips and trying to convince myself to like it, I just didn't. We got a large so that was disappointing having to waste it. We debating on going back but decided it would be worth it if they would just change it out for us and if not we would just go to Dairy Queen. We returned and were told that we would have to buy another one, so that was really disappointing because this is my husbands favorite boba place.... Well, it isn't anymore. After telling them to keep the frappe, we didn't want to buy another one. We got into a car accident on the corner of main and Horner. We were rear ended. My husband blames the poor turn of events on brick city boba as it seems maybe that changed our luck for the day. So, sad to say, we won't be returning because they didn't make a good drink, then they wouldn't make us a new one. Highly recommend the strawberry cheesecake frappe and their milk teas. I usually get their milk tea and my husband always gets a frappe. We never asked for our money back or anything. The drink just wasn't made well. The flavor was too light to enjoy. NOTE: All of my criticism is based on my experience(s) during their soft opening phase. I'm very appreciative Sanford has a boba place now & saves me the 30 min drive to Apex/Cary! I hope they can improve on these things so we can have them for a long time. The tea and overall vibes of the place are really good, but I've given this rating because of their straws & gloves (or lack thereof). When you order, they give you your straw with their barehands and have all of the straws unwrapped in a bucket for anyone to touch. I feel like individually wrapped straws would be more sanitary especially since you don't know who could've touched the straws before you! I've also noticed they don't wear gloves when preparing smoothies/smoothie bowls which is something else that is a little off-putting since it's "raw" food. The space itself is cute, albeit, small and can get pretty crowded when they're busy, but they have nice seating areas outside which helps with the crowding. I think it would be a very nice hangout spot if there was more space inside. With more space I could see it being a place where people do homework/sit & talk/etc. This will be a very good place during the summer with outside seating available, but I wonder how it will hold up during the colder seasons when it's not as pleasant to sit outside. My last criticism of BCB is how they prepare drinks...it seems unorganized. Most of them are prepared on the front bar area which is convenient if you like watching your drinks get made, but a little awkward if you wanted to sit there. NOTE: With recent changes in COVID guidelines most of the staff don't wear masks. read more

First of all- to say I love boba is an understatement, and I've been to boba places in and out of state. Their classic and brown sugar boba pretty much only tastes that- creamer/milk and /or brown sugar with very little tea taste. Same with the fruit teas. If that's how you like your boba then you'll prob like this, but for my tea lovers- you know freshly brewed quality tea hits different. Don't get me wrong- I'm grateful to have a boba place in town and I've been through desperate boba times, but there are better options in nearby towns if you're willing to travel. My kids and I decided to go to Brick city Boba because someone seen me drinking a tea with boba and said you got to try "Brick city Boba" and provided me with the address. I Placed an order of 5 pickup drinks orders online. I wanted to get content for a drink review so, I was preparing to take some pictures and videos.The outsise was welcoming upon opening the door it sat a table with two stools and a back splash decor . I told my two girls to sit down so I can take a picture. A lady which I'm assuming work there or is owner of business walked from the register area into the area we enter she looked me dead and face didn't welcome us in ,nor did she speak .Not to mention it was Myself and 5 others kids . she walk around us like a maze not even an excuse me or anything .After feeling the "vibe ". I told the kids let just go get our drinks and go .We planned on staying and enjoying the drinks inside at a table . The young man on the register was very welcoming and polite I had to place an order for the 6Th drink .He checked me out and provided great customer service. The kids loved the drinks overall! I love finding hidden gems like this in Sanford! The rolled ice cream with Oreos and whipped cream was delicious and was super fun to watch the employee make! This review is based on all the times I have gone with my daughter. We were excited to hear that a boba place was opening, we moved from CA and huge boba lovers. I was happy that I didn't have to drive all the way to Cary to get our fix but based on our experiences, I don't mind it now. The first time we went was during the soft opening, I got a taro tea and it was bland. My daughter got a thai tea and she liked it. We've been back a few times (I haven't gotten anything) and my daughter has said the boba isn't fully squishy and she's slowly lost interest in going. The last time we went, I decided to go through the new drive thru because it was around 8pm. There was no speaker like normal drive thru (or maybe I missed it) so I drove up to the window. There was a person making drinks where the window was and when she looked up and saw me, she looked scared. It took her a min to open the window and when she finally did (still looking scared) I asked her if this is where we order and she said yes. She still looked a bit scared and confused but I went ahead and placed my order and waited. I think the placement of the window isn't the best because they make the drinks on the counter on the other side, so every time I saw movement from the corner of my eye, I thought they were bringing the drink. read more

This was my first experience with boba and it was more than I could have expected! This place recently opened and is in a really cool location on the main street downtown. Love the building! The two women that started this business obviously know what they are doing and have built a really cool little niche concept that seems to be taking off. Worst boba I've ever had. Living in California for years, I've gotten to try lots of amazing boba shops. I was excited to see that there was now a place to get boba in Sanford when I come here to visit family. I ordered my usual drink: peach tea with lychee jelly and boba, light ice and light sweet. The woman behind the counter looked at me like I was crazy and said "why do you want jelly in your tea? We don't do that here." I tried to explain to her what jelly was, but she still said that they don't do that. So I said I'd just take the regular tapioca boba. The she replied "we don't have tapioca pudding here." Again I explained what boba was and told her that I didn't want tapioca pudding, but that boba pearls are made out of tapioca. She continues to look at me weird and says they only have popping boba. She also said that they can do light ice, but all of their tea is already sweet so I couldn't do a light sweetness. So I ended up leaving there with an extremely sweet tea with lychee popping boba. Took a few sips and then threw it out in the trash can before I even got to my car. I think it's great that Sanford is trying to expand what they offer, but if you're going to bring something new to town, like a Taiwanese tea, please do your research and serve it correctly. I have been three times, and all three times it took at least 30 minutes to prep 2 items post-order, which I feel is a bit excessive. This time we had smoothies and they tasted great but were only slightly thicker than water, which caught me a bit off guard. I am accustomed to them being much thicker at other places. I also found it a bit concerning that the straws were unwrapped and being handled by ungloved and unmasked employees during a pandemic. After hearing so many good things about this place, I went to check it out and BOY was I disappointed! It started when we walked in and we're met with their complete lack of attention to COVID protocols- none of the 4 staffers were masked and there was no sign on the door encouraging customers to be masked, so it was no surprise that none of their customers were either, except for my wife and I, and a mother with her young daughter. The staff wasn't wearing gloves and that was really noticeable when one employee was handing out unwrapped straws to customers barehanded. We waited for 15 minutes on our 2 drinks to be ready and were disappointed when they were finally prepared. The beverages we ordered were no different than we might have gotten at a convenience store, except that they were much more expensive. I got a 24-ounce watermelon slush for $4.95 that was made from bottled syrup instead of real ingredients. My wife's drink had been prepared and placed on the counter, but no one remembered to call out her name to tell her it was ready. The staff was disorganized, bouncing off each other like bumper cars at an amusement park. Customers were packed around the counter where it seemed the drinks were being made, with no way to get to our orders when they were ready. Finally a boba place in Sanford! They also do cold stone ice cream. Usually I can only find this type of place in Cary or Raleigh but now we have one in town.
