Starbucks is my ride or die, but this one just was not it. The location is on a very crowded corner right outside the park and there is very heavy foot traffic. Seeing how I went in the middle of the week, I believe that it's likely ialways packed. I ordered an espresso based iced drink off the specialty in app menu, and overheard the staff talking about what the drink was while I was waiting. I don't think they realized it was for me. Otherwise they probably wouldn't have said that the drink was basically a whole other drink and that it used regular coffee instead of espresso. I could tell immediately that I had the wrong drink when I picked it up, but was way too tired from the heat to even start to navigate the situation. It was the saddest and weakest starbies drink I've ever gotten- and that is not a dramatization. Also, I'm fairly certain that they charged me a customization fee for putting in sugar-free vanilla instead of the regular sugar vanilla. My local Starbucks just takes care of that for me without any sort of up charge, so that was really disappointing as well. The restrooms which are supposed to be just for customers are very poorly governed, so I had to wait about a half hour in line to get into the one single stall. Unfortunately, this is one of the rare occasions I wish I had just kept walking past that Starbucks and tried someplace else. I've only been once, so go ahead and judge it for yourself. But, based on my experience alone, there is serious room for improvement. read more

Starbucks - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Sanford, North Carolina

Ordered thru the drive thru a Cafe Latte, Grande @ $5.25 plus tax. Got to work and noticed how light the cup was. Took lid off to notice that the cup was half empty! Come on, you didn't notice this when you were preparing the drink. This is unacceptable, especially paying $5.25 plus tax. I come here several times a week but I'll go elsewhere now. read more

I didn't catch the name of the guy who helped me but I almost left without my croissant today and he ran it out to me to catch me before I left! I really appreciate it because I was already having a rough day and I would've been so sad when I realized. This made a huge difference. Also, my coffee always comes out great when he's working! read more

Outstanding service with a smile. Coffee and cheese danish were delicious. The dining area was very cozy and clean.

Awesome service! Drink was perfect and staff was great! Especially Madison B. Will definitely be back

The drive-thru customer service was fantastic. The kind woman taking my order was helpful and patient. The coffee was okay but not great. It tasted a bit water down for my liking. read more

The slowest Starbucks I have ever been to. I went in thinking it would be faster than drive thru. I was wrong. A steady stream of cars were served long before me. From arrival with no one in line to getting my 1 drink order, it took 22 minutes. read more

Being former residents of Seattle for many years, we've been to a lot of Starbucks locations and this one stands out. Unfortunately, it doesn't stand out in a good way. In the almost 2 years of using this location and probably ordering at least 75 times, I can count on one hand the times we've gotten good service. Not only are they slow, they are the slowest location I've ever experienced. Even for mobile orders, often times the app will say ~15-20 minutes and then i'll likely wait longer once I arrive. The drinks are not good either. I always drink the same thing: Venti Quad Espresso with a splash of cream and sweet and low. Sometimes the drink will be almost white from putting at least a cup of cream in. Other times, there's next to nothing. The sweetener is sometimes there but sometimes not and other times they clearly used splenda or something else. It's gotten to where i just order the espresso and then take it home to doctor it up. If i had any other choice in Sanford, I would not go back here but for now it's all we've got. read more

This is actually my favorite Starbucks, but today I was a little disappointed. I ordered a Venti latte with cinnamon sprinkled on top. My cup was only half full. As you can see in the photo and no cinnamon. The flavor was awful as well. Luckily I use my stars. Not a good day at Starbucks! read more

**UPDATED REVIEW** I came here yesterday with a friend for some frappes, and I was looking for my card and I couldn't find it. The barista Robyn gave me a free drink when she saw how stressed I got. 1 star for cleanliness, 0 stars for customer service and availability of common items. They were out of chai and white chocolate, which are the main drinks I order at any Starbucks. Would have been nice to know that before I placed my order. Then the worker taking my order speaks to me in a snarky attitude like I'm inconveniencing her. My husband ordered a flat white, and was given something that did not resemble a flat white at all...just something with heavy foam which tasted very poorly mixed. I ended up spending $20 on things I didn't even want and about 4 out of 5 of the workers there seemed irritated they had to work that day. Never returning. read more

Starbucks - botched coffee. workers don't care - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Sanford, North Carolina

We used drive thru for two coffees and at a stop light my husband took and sip and top popped off spilling hot coffee in his lap. Fortunately, he had a textbook in his lap, but coffee ruined the $200 textbook. (He teaches at college in Sanford). The cup was damaged but Starbucks employee thought it was ok to ignore that fact and not throw it out but put a lid on it. My husband called store and got shift manager. He asked her to coach employee on risk of using damaged cup and burning customers. She did not care and hung up. He called corporate but there has been no response as to coaching shift manager on customer service or employees on this dangerous issue or anything else. We do frequent our local store but Will not use this store again and will probably switch to local coffee shop due to apathy for customers here. read more

I have literally spent $1000's at this location. The employees used to make my order when I walked in the door. I thoroughly despise the fact that you can't sit inside but have overlooked it. Today my wife took my daughters through the drive through to order their favorite drink, venti double chocolate chip split into two cups. They said "we can't do that anymore" but then gave her two empty cups to do it herself. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between pouring into 1 cup or 2? She subsequently spilled the drink in our new car and I have to clean it. I will take my loyalty and $1000s to Dunkin Donuts. I'm sure they will be happy to have our business. I guess "customer is always right" doesn't apply to Starbucks. read more

They only reason they get the second star is because they offered my puppy a pupacino, but after pulling away and being ten minutes down the road when I finally took a sip of my coffee I noticed the cup was half empty. Starbucks - the dashboard of a car with the sun setting in the background - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Sanford, North Carolina

I've been reluctant to leave a bad review, because let's face it, new locations need a little 'settling' time to get it together. Well today I spent about 3 hours in this location working in a corner. The tea was great, but it means nothing if I can't get the customer service. I put my things down at a table and noticed it was dirty, so after I placed my order I moved to another table, which was also dirty. I asked for a cloth or to have someone clean the table. Someone came out within minutes, Melissa. I wish she'd just given me the cloth as she did a poor job cleaning and also wiped everything from the table onto the floor. The floors are covered in trash, crumbs, napkins, straw paper, straws etc. there was a shoe print on the the leather chair by the door that remained for at least 2 hours and was there when I left. I went to the counter to get a refill and witnessed two taller gentlemen (not the little guy making the drinks, though he kept scratching his head and never washed his hands) have a conversation while the lady in front of me stood waiting to place her order. Never acknowledged she was even standing there. It took 12 minutes to get a refill of unsweetened black tea lemonade. It's just a mess and someone needs to fix it before the reputation is tarnished. There's a lot of good coffee in Sanford, don't think your name will get you the business. UPDATE: my 3 most recent visits have been MUCH better. I am glad they've figured things out. I've found ordering with the app works better for me, as the lines can be long. The store has been clean on each of these last visits. The 5th star is for the true Starbucks experience, not quite, but working on it. read more

The employees at the store apparently choose the time they close. Even though hours are posted until 10 PM on Saturday night I showed up at 9:45 and no one was there to help me at the drive-through try to go to the front door and the employees had locked the door already. Not good for business! read more

I wish there was an option to put zero stars. My mom and I visited this Starbucks Sunday, September 25 2022 at 10:50 and didn't get our drinks for about 25 minutes. It was utter chaos in the store as workers were messing up and forgetting which milk they had poured in the drinks resulting in all of them getting poured down the drain (one of which was definitely a part of our order) It was the most poorly ran Starbucks I have ever seen in my life. I was honestly embarrassed for them. There was more than enough staff (about 6 girls) to get the drinks out in a timely manner, but all of them were screwing up so much no wonder they were set back about 20 minutes. We noticed everyone behind us in line had received their orders and left by the time my mom decided to pipe up and say something. When we notified the girl behind the counter that half our order was missing she YELLED back at us and said "if you don't like it you can get a refund" So moral of the story DO NOT GO TO THIS STARBUCKS and whatever girl was making drinks at around 11 o'clock last Sunday - you're a cunt and I hate you for yelling at my mom on her birthday. read more

I asked for a trenta refresher with light ice and received half the cup of refresher half cup of air. Seriously if you don't want to give the people the size they request then don't have that size at all. This has happened to me twice at this location. I have never experienced this at any other starbucks and I've been ordering the same thing for years. The tables are dirty, the floor is thesame, which explains the flies. This location needs to do better. Just because you are the only one in town doesn't mean we have to take the b.s. I was fine before Starbucks came to town and will do fine omitting them from now on. It's a shame because this is one of the best built Starbucks I've been in.(it's a new building) Perfect for studying, group meet ups or just reading. There are outlets everywhere. This is a small town. If you loose your clientele now I doubt you'll get much business again. This isn't raleigh. You can't expect to provide bad service and watch the same people walk back through your doors. read more

Went by the drive thru today and there was a sign saying something about being unable to make frozen coffees because they were out of nitro and cold brew. I asked if they could still make my green tea frappe because i was unsure if nitro was used to make it. (I am not a barista, this is why i purchase my drinks from stores). The girl told me in a very condescending voice that " Tea is tea, and coffee is coffee, yes we can make your green tea frapp). I just thought it was rude and unprofessional she would say that like i'm stupid or something, i obviously know the difference between the two. I just did not know if they used the same equipment to make this drinks. A simple "yes" or "no" was all i needed. read more

On Monday 2/3 at around 115pm. I was in a rush. I had a screaming toddler in the backseat that just left a doctor appointment, a front seat full of to go orders from family visiting and here I was thinking that I took the easy route and got everyone's coffee right through the app. Wrong! The app didn't update one of the orders. Now with everything else going in and feeling defeated, I was going to just take the coffee and deal with it tasting different since everything updated but the size. The young lady at the window wasn't having it. She was so sweet and kind and insisted on making it the right way for me and she wasn't even the person working at the window! She got right on it and asked that I pull to the front and she would bring it right out. She was quick and amazing and she saved the day because it was for my mom who is the pickiest of people. I wish I could have gotten her name but just know that you were my superwoman that day. Thanks so much! read more

on jah , they don't listen. every time i come here they screw up my order. yesterday when i came through the drive through they gave me a grande when i said venti. the screen said venti and everything was right on the screen. when i got to the window he told me to wait about 5 min and they gave me a grande. i told them i got a venti and i asked if i paid for a venti and they said they didn't know. today i ask for no whipped cream and i get whipped cream. the girl gave me attitude when i told her it was no whipped cream and it says NO WHIP on my cup. she scraped off the whipped cream including the majority of my drink that i paid $6 for. honestly , this place sucks. read more

I typically don't write reviews but this Starbucks is awful!!! They are rude, and they NEVER get your order right. Oh, the Starbucks promise that they will remake it if it's not right, should include " without attitude." I promise you, if you say your order is wrong they will give you all kinds of attitude. I was so excited when Starbucks finally came to sanford NC. It's temporarily closed because of COVID 19- they should close it permanently. I would rather drive to holly springs or pinehurst ( both are 30 min from me in opposite directions) than to go to the Starbucks in Sanford- which is a 5 minutes drive from my home.
