nestled in a foodie desert (carthage nc) is a hidden gem, unassuming and sparkling. that is buggy town coffee they have beautiful drinks and food options, and everyone is always smiling here. seasonal menus abound, and the insides are ever so impressively decorated and well-planned. i come here every so often when i'm craving good vibes and don't want to go far. many of the breakfast and lunch options are delicious (i specifically recommend the breakfast sandwich for breakfast, grilled cheese or turkey pesto for lunch) but i took one star off because the food prices are too high IMHO. i love you, buggy town! read more

Our first visit back in July we fell in love with Buggy Town. So this trip we made a point to go every day we were in town. We tried our first macaroons thanks to an employee's recommendation and we couldn't wait to come back for more. They even offer a free doggiccino with purchase so our pup is also able to enjoy our visits here. Plus with all the windows, we can keep an eye on him while inside. It's such a beautiful little shop with lots of great natural light and nice decor. The coffee, sandwiches, and bakery items are all delicious. There's even a cute little kids' area for children to play. Every employee we encountered here was super friendly and helpful. I couldn't ask for more! read more

Very nice friendly coffee shop. Currently as of mid October 2023 they're rapping up some outside patio improvements, but the shop open and. run fully. We had some business meeting had coffee and some sweet pastries. Everything was perfect, had a great time. If you are in the area please check it up . Arrived 40 minutes before close ordered 3 coffees and 3 sandwiches. Coffees were good, but after waiting 30 minutes for our food the server walks up to our table before even setting our food down says "we close in like a minute but y'all can sit outside as long as you want" so we go outside and try to begin eating but we were getting harassed by yellow jackets. While we have gotten kicked out another two top inside was not spoken too and continued sitting inside. Additionally another patron arrived 5 minutes after close and was allowed to enter and order a coffee. Very frustrating for a first experience. Especially after paying $81 dollars including over 20% cash tip. read more

This business is active in the community. They offer local events (think: coffee, and succulent classes), and have supported the county hospital staff during COVID ( "coffee and pastries for healthcare workers"). Hands down, the best coffee shop! If Chuck Norris was a coffee shop this would be the place! It beats out all the local completion, the staff is super accommodating/ friendly, and the owner kind of looks like good ol' Chuck Norris. Anytime my family visits my home town this way I will hang out here for a few hours and enjoy my time. The community warm and enjoyable to be around. The food and coffee prices are reasonable. The barista recommended a blended cold brew with caramel and I asked for a hint of vanilla, she nailed it! I also had the pimento cheese, spinach and bacon sandwich...it was wholesome, filling, and creamy. You can't tell the staff put a lot of love in the drinks and food that they make. I believe this is very much reflective in the owners passion for serving people. I have known the owners for several years and love how they have transformed this spot into a local community favorite. I HIGHLY recommend coming to Buggy Town. We stopped here for some early lunch and a coffee. My family is from this area and so have stopped before with my late husband. It did not disappoint this time. It never has. I had the fancy grilled cheese with a lavender lemonade. Both were excellent. My friend had a croissant sandwich with ham and a poppyseed mustard. She also had a caramel latte which she said was excellent. My dad and his wife swear by their avocado blts. The ambiance here is super cute and it's completely worth a stop! read more

My family and I love this place. I work from home, and this is right down the street from our house. Most mornings, we get breakfast here. The food and coffee are quality and always made sound. Try the baked treats to the left of the register. You could reach in there blindly and enjoy whatever you pull out! Parking here is an issue. There are maybe seven spots on the NE side of the building, which are always packed all week. When the lot is full, there are usually not many patrons inside, which leads me to believe that all the spots are taken by employees' vehicles. There's a small parking lot on the NW side of the building that has a very steep driveway entrance; if you park here in a sedan, you are going to scrape the bumper or midsection of your car if you aren't very careful. About 45 houses are being built less than a mile from here, and a large piece of property just sold behind our house that is being developed and, based on the parcel size, will probably support another 45 new builds. Now seems to be the time to figure out the parking situation before that influx. If there are 90 new builds with at least three people per house, that's 270 coffee or tea drinking people and their kids. We enjoy supporting local and don't mind paying more to do so. While some employees are very amiable and helpful, others will not say hello. If we are supporting local, we'd expect them to be friendlier. All of that said, we do really love this place and its offerings, but some of these business practices need to be reassessed. read more

Love this place! My boyfriend grew up in the area and we come here every time we visit his family. Their food is fantastic - light and healthy while still being super tasty, and I've really enjoyed all of the espresso drinks I've tried. Most recently, I ordered the Golden Mocha and the Honey Bee (on the recommendation of the barista, who was really sweet) and both were unique and delicious. I love love love the decor and all of the natural light. Also, as a lover of houseplants, I need to mention that their houseplant game is SO STRONG. Great food, great coffee, great service, great ambience, and great houseplants. What more could you ask for?! Absolutely lovely, very nice staff & It's kept very clean I shall say.. they have a Instagram page and post a lot of new things for the day & stuff that was just baked (macarons, scones, cookies ect.) on there and they are awesome better than Starbucks & the 'fancy franchise' in my opinion.. We were looking for a lunch place to stop on our drive from Raleigh to Uwharrie National Forest and decided on Buggy Town Coffee. We were so happy with our decision.
