Visiting from Indy, this place was right by our hotel. Staff was friendly and courteous. Food was out pretty quickly. We tried the burger, chicken, fries and sweet potato fries and a shake! Both fries were amazing!!! The burger was delish!! The shake could've used a tad more flavor (I tried the blueberry one) but was still yummy. Sadly my fried chicken patty was awful. Tough and chewy and not fresh at all. But given the rest of our food was great, they still win in my book! read more

I frequent this business pretty regularly in the mornings on my way to work. Their breakfast biscuits are really good, as well as their muffins. On occasions the muffins do taste leftover from the day before. The morning staff is always very friendly. Today I pulled through the drive-through to get something On my way home from work. I ordered a #7 combo (Quickie burger) with an order of fries and a sweet tea. Well, they were not lying with the name of this burger, the quickie. Because they quickly put it on the grill and quickly put it on the bun. Completely forgetting to cook it. A Patty this thin how do you not get it done? He handed me a drink that looked like it was in a 4 ounce cup. When I questioned him about the size of the cup he said "oh I'm sorry I put it in the wrong cup". He then proceeded to hand me a a bigger cup, that was filled with the wrong drink. The fries were cold. I think I'll stick to breakfast because they certainly did not get my supper right at all. read more

Amazing employer for teens! David and Tabitha have mentored my son from the time he could get a job until this past Sunday, his last day as he is leaving for college. His work ethic was there, but David and Tabitha developed that work ethic fully and help to make him an outstanding employee. I am forever thankful to them for all the support, love and mentorship they have given my child. I cannot say enough about this place...and yes the food is of course ALWAYS AMAZING!! Apple Turnovers and Cheeseburger with slaw, mustard and chili is our fav...and fries with EXTRA seasoning! Very disappointed. Both my burgers were cold. The cheese wasn't even melted, I've had issues with them saying "sorry we're closed" well before closing time at night as well as had my fries under cooked. As a food service worker myself, this is disappointing. I will not be coming back. read more

Traveled down for a basketball game from Rolesville and wanted to grab chili cheeseburgers since they are our favorites even though we had plans to stop at a restaurant to eat in Cary. Was a little hungry, so thought I'd take a bite or 2...unfortunately it was about 20 miles down the road. Looked in the bag and only had 1 chili cheeseburger and 3 burgers (think deluxes)....even though the receipt in the bag showed 4 chili cheeseburgers. So disappointed the order was screwed up, but didn't want to drive an extra 40 miles just to get the correct order. Make sure to check your order when you get it! read more

After seeing the PD Quix billboard along the highway in Sanford and getting over the shock that there's still a PD Quix around, me and the wife decided to give it a try - and it was amazing. The cheeseburger was, as she put it, "a diner cheeseburger" - i.e. soft and squishy and homogenously cheesy. If you like crunch or crisp in your burger, it's not really there. But if you like this style like we do (we like all burgers, who are we kidding), then you'll love it. This was one of the best burgers we've had in a long time. My Rosemary Chicken sandwich was also perfectly moist and juicy and flavorful. But the best part was the waffle fries - my wife said she remembered the old PD Quix in Garner had the best waffle fries she's ever had - and these didn't disappoint. Perfectly crispy and seasoned, these blew Chick Fil A's out of the water (and I like those!). Service was friendly and super-fast. We'll have to be back soon so I can check out the muffins and pick up a shaker of that seasoning salt. Definitely the best fast food we've had in a while! read more

Probably the best place for a fast food burger in town. Good quality ingredients and fast service. The seasoning they use on the fries and burgers give them that extra something. Prices are fair. This small, independent double drive thru burger restaurant beats the pants off of any chain restaurants. Remember back in the day when Wendys used to be really awesome with thick juicy burgers? Well this place is what Wendy's use to be. I live in Greensboro and happily drive an hour to Sanford once a month to get burgers here. The burger patties here are nice and thick and always juicy. I'm not sure but it seems like they cook them when you order them. The Magnum burger is three quarter pound parties stacked with cheese and topped with mayonnaise ketchup and pickles. Their bacon cheeseburger is a single patty with lettuce tomato onion and a couple nice thick strips of bacon. I love the buns that they use because they're always soft and fresh. The other star of this place is their thickly cut waffle fries dusted with a generous portion of their own in-house french fry seasoning. I usually wind up getting an extra order because I always inhale the ones that come with the combo. They have a pretty varied menu with chicken sandwiches fish sandwiches chili cheese dogs and milkshakes. I haven't tried them but if the burgers and fries are any indication I would think they would be pretty decent. read more

Years and years and years ago, when PD Quix had a place in Durham, I used to go there for the waffle fries and cheeseburgers. They were so good! I thought the place closed up until I read they have a restaurant in Sanford, NC. I'll have to make a trip out to see if it's the same as I remember. To Lucy F...I just wrote to the company. I'm in NY now and have often thought about the amazing burgers I got from PD Quix. Surprisingly, it was the same location you speak of. Highway 70 and then get off on 98 headed towards Wake Forest. 1st light across from the Etna station. Double drive thru. 1/4 lb. burgers were 99 cents! This was in the 1990-1994 time period. My first experience of eating a real American hamburger, fries and shake that wasn't some huge national chain, like, McDonald's or Burger King was at P.D, Quix on Murchison Road in Fayetteville, NC. This is still my favorite burger joint. Don't expect anything fancy. Actually, they serve a sloppy but delicious mess of a burger. Each layer of meat, veg, bread is perfectly proportioned. The fries are seasoned well. The peach shake is my fav and washes it all down, perfectly. Every time I visit NC I make a stop here to get my fix. read more
