If you are ever in Lillington or Driving through make sure to stop and grab a smash burger! The menu is small and you know what that means they know what they make and they make it well! Burgers, Dogs, and Fries! Great service! Kind staff! Delicious food! I also say you can judge any "American food place by their French fries and this place makes theirs right! Crunch on the outside soft on the inside!

Eat local!! Father and son shop. The son informed me the spot is named after his grandfather. Super tasty and convenient. I called it in and it was ready within 5-10 minutes. Small hole in the wall feel. Super clean on the inside. The meal total was a couple more dollars than McDonalds. I'd rather pooch's every time. Worth the extra $2. Will be back again.

The food was great. Everyone loved their burgers. The fries are really good. I definitely recommend getting a side of the burger sauce to dip your fries and burger in. The lady who works the counter is very friendly and cool. It's a cozy little mom and pop shop type of place. Definitely recommend. I couldn't find anything wrong with this place. They have bottled drinks and no fountain drinks but that wasn't an issue for us.

Finally stopped in to try Pooch's and was not disappointed!!! The smashburgers are some of the best I've had in the area! The fries were extra crispy in the best way and the macaroni salad is delicious. Plus, they now have gluten free buns - a thoughtful menu addition! If you're hoping to try a Poochie Pie (whoopie pie), make sure to go during the week or early on Saturday. They sell out quick before they are off on Sunday! The staff were very friendly and helpful when asking about the menu. We will definitely be back soon for more delicious burgers and to try a Poochie Pie! read more

Stopped in on our way home from the beach. This place is awesome! The pimento burger was amazing! Lots of interesting flavors put together, but it works! Delicious! The fries were hot and perfectly crisp. Service was great and loved the homey atmosphere! We've already talked about when we could make it back to Pooch's! Highly recommend! read more

Let me start off with the good Big portions and vibes that bring you back to that hole n the wall burger joint. Service was good and fast. The not so good, pretty greasy fries possibly re-dipped and were stale. The burger appeared huge however the patties are paper thin and for the price I just can't make it make sense. read more

If you're new to the SMASH BURGER, you can get a great start here!!! The burger sits off the bun all 360 degrees around the sandwich. The ends have that nice crispy texture and the center is nice and juicy. The French fries also make their appearance as more than just a side, the flavor of these cut potatoes are second look worthy!!! There are hot and crispy like fries are supposed to be!!! GREAT spot to go!!! read more

Went today for takeout....food was great! Fries were perfect, hot dogs on point (love they serve red hot dogs btw), and the pasta salad was out of sight! Owner/operator was there to take our order and was super friendly. Loved the experience and will definitely be back to dine in. Please support local operators like these... Every customer matters and they treated us accordingly. Highly recommend! read more

Upon arriving at the restaurant at 8:30 AM to pick up my order, I was initially greeted politely by one of your team members. However, the situation quickly deteriorated when I was informed that no order was on file under the church's name, despite my prior payment and confirmation. The team member could not find any record, and it took considerable time for this to be addressed. Throughout the ordeal, I faced continuous delays and excuses regarding the preparation of the order. At 8:53 AM, only part of the order was handed over, but it was clear that important items--including coffee and condiments--were missing. When I pointed this out, the team member expressed surprise, indicating that they were unaware such items had been included. During this time, I noticed other customers leaving in frustration due to similar problems with order accuracy and wait times. Despite these evident issues, the manager failed to step in promptly to provide any form of service recovery. Instead, I overheard the manager describing me as an "angry customer" to staff members, an inaccurate characterization given that neither I nor my companion raised our voices or behaved disrespectfully. When I addressed this with the manager, I requested that she correct her language, explaining that we were frustrated--not angry--due to the failure to have the order ready at the promised time. The manager then attributed the issue to incorrect order timing or date information but declined to accept responsibility or offer a meaningful apology. Furthermore, the manager's detailed explanation of coffee preparation was unwelcome; as a paying customer, I expect to receive the items I purchased without unnecessary commentary. The coffee we eventually received was delivered in wet boxes with difficult-to-open spouts, further compounding our disappointment. To make matters worse, upon arrival at the church, we found that packaging was mislabeled, requiring us to open every wrapper to confirm the contents, causing significant inconvenience during the event. This experience was not only disappointing but also unacceptable for an establishment of McDonald's stature. It has caused me to decide against returning to this particular location in the future. Despite knowing the quality has decreased, we decided to go to Chopsticks for dinner to give it another try since it hasn't ever been horrendous. We ordered a grilled teriyaki salmon, and were served a fried teriyaki white fish, which we make our server aware of. This took around 15 minutes to "remedy" and the $16 salmon that was subsequently served was minuscule and extremely overcooked. Our hibachi chicken was also very dry. We informed our cashier of the order coming out wrong and then the salmon being wildly overcooked, to which she said "I'm sorry" which is not how you solve issues in the food service industry. You don't serve someone the wrong dish, hesitate to fix their order, then serve something inedible and just say "I'm sorry" to remedy the situation. Here is how you *should* handle this: handle the miscommunication swiftly and gracefully, with a sincere apology. Do not, however, wait until the rest of the table has almost finished eating to serve the corrected dish. Then, after taking that long to get the dish out and it coming out terribly cooked, you should comp part or all of the cost to attempt to make up for your poor service and quality. "I'm sorry" will never suffice when you mess up this badly. I truly will not come back, which is sad to say as a long time customer who has loved Chopsticks in the past. This is an extreme let down to what Chopsticks used to be. Please save your money and go elsewhere if you're looking for good quality food and great accommodating service!

I got one of the most flavorful smash burgers I've ever had , with a ton of fries and a canned drink for about $12.57 , I also enjoyed the decor of the place and it's nice family small Restuarant vibe.
