Their schedule is ridiculous. Maps say they open at four, and their online ordering says they open at four. Placed and payed for a mobile order at 4:25 for 5:15 get there and the doors are locked. Tried to call to maybe see if no one had open the doors, no answer. Third party ordering people seemed nice. Unfortunately have to touch base to get my refund but I understand. First of all, the place could use a good cleaning and some updated furniture. We were just stopping for a couple of slices of pizza and a drink so I decided to give it a try. Bad decision on my part. We ordered two slices each along with a drink. We sat for 30 minutes waiting and wondering what was taking so long. We were hoping a fresh pizza needed to be made and that was the reason for the long wait. Wrong! What came to the table was what looked to be old slices, from perhaps the night before, reheated with a handful of new cheese over the top of the old. With the name Nonna's I had higher expectations. The interior leaves much to be desired. Highly outdated, seats are highly worn and uncomfortable, walls needs painting. But decided to give it a shot. Concerned with the lack of guests. Maybe one other customer. Order chicken Alfredo, fettuccine carbonara and cheese bread. Pastas were mediocre, but good. Bread was just a sub roll split with a generous amount of butter. But the most disappointing was the sad salad. read more

After hiking one Sunday at the local state park, a large group of us decided we wanted pizza. Nonna's was on the Yelp app and local. We called ahead to make sure they could seat such a large party. Turns out we were the only ones there on a late Sunday afternoon. I was a little skeptical based on the reviews. The restaurant does indeed have the antique building smell, but other than that no issues with the establishment itself. It's a small town pizza shop and to be expected to be a little older. We ordered several pizzas. Our waitress was awesome. She provided excellent service and kept us all filled on drinks. The pizza was amazing. We loved the white pizza topped with ricotta and broccoli. We throughly enjoyed our visit and have been back several Sundays with large parties. We will continue to frequent Nonna's for pizza night. read more

I'm honestly not sure how this place stays in business. The carpet is stained, and the tables and chairs are beaten up and don't look clean. On a Friday night, it was empty. The food was ok, I was honestly afraid to try it because the place just looked so dirty. There is so much opportunity in the downtown area of Lillington because of the influx of people into the area. 2nd visit to Nonna's. I love Italian food and it is hard to find a good place nearby. 1st visit was near Halloween. This place fit the bill! It was dark, outdated, and a little creepy. BUT the food was good and the waitress was friendly and attentive. She told my date and I a ghost story about the place and that made me like it even more. So today I made a 2nd visit with a friend. Daylight does not help Nonna's. The furniture wouldn't even sell in a thrift store. Cushions are burgundy and green and stained. A lot. Tables have no cloths so all the flaws, a lot, are showing. The floor is uncleanable, uneven, and creaky. 94.5 rating posted. Ordered mozzarella sticks and was told they were "medium size not like fast food". They could have been bought in grocery store. My friend loves spaghetti but decided to try roast beef sandwich. Nope. Out of roast beef, so she ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. She got marinara. It was bad. I ordered calzone and it was ok. Portions were fair for the price IF the food had actually been good. Menu price was incorrect just like it was in October. Sign at the door said prices were 10% over menu. Why update the menu when clearly nothing else is updated in Nonna's?! It could be a really unique decor with less tables, cover what is there or paint them. Cover the Herman Munster chairs at the very least. Creaky floors and old buildings are full of good vibes in my opinion, but this place is in desperate need of some TLC. Makes me sad. read more

Pre COVID, I would give them a 4 star review. Pretty good but not stellar. Im assuming their workforce has been hit very hard. The wait times have gotten pretty ridiculous. Add at least 15-20 minutes to the time they give you. The food quality has slipped in addition to the extended wait times. This is super disappointing because Nonna's used to be our go-to spot in town. I hope they bounce back. read more

Decided to try this restaurant after driving past it often. We started with the potato skins. Those weren't very good at all. It was essentially cored out potatoes with a slice of American cheese, some mozzarella, and bacon. They were just really dry and not very flavorful. The pizza however was pretty good. We did half meat lover and half Nonna's special. The crust was really good and the pizza had good flavor. I would suggest the pizza but stay away from the potato skins for an appetizer read more

I've only tried the pizza here and it's great. Fairly priced. I like the kids pizza which is 10" a lil thin compared to the regular sizes but it's for only $6. Friendly service. Fast and easy. Me and my girlfriend went here for our anniversary. We walked in there were about 7 tables filled with people with no food. Only one waitress was on duty. Our salad took 40 minutes while our entrees took a whole hour! When I went to the bathroom I saw into the kitchen and saw the spaghetti was premade onto plates in Tupperware containers. This is a great place for good food. The Chicken Alfredo, the Stromboli's, the spaghetti, and the appetizers are all delicious. The chicken was delicious, but the sauce for the chicken Francese was not good at all, but after telling the waitress this, the owner brought me a plate of spaghetti free of charge that was really good. read more

When this place opened I had high hopes for some decent Italian food in Lillington. It didn't take long for that to change. It took seven minutes to get our drink orders in and when we finally got our food it was disgusting. Everything was canned and unseasoned to the point that we just paid and left. If I could give 0 stars I would. This was the worst dining experience I have ever had! Terrible! Horrible atmosphere. Atrocious food and subpar service. You walk in to find foul smelling carpets, dark decor, ceiling fans running and no air conditioning! it was 83 out when we went. It was probably 78 in the restaurant. At 8:00pm on a Friday there was no on there expect for 1 waitress and a middle eastern man in the kitchen. Upon asking I found out that this man is the owner, Wally. I don't see how they can boast "authentic" Italian food when the owner is Egyptian. We ordered 2 pizzas and a Lasagna with salad and garlic bread. 1 of our pizzas was Hawaiian with bacon and the other was just sausage and pepperoni. The "salad" came out quickly but was just some wilted lettuce and slimy tomatoes. The blue cheese dressing tasted like it has been in the cooler long past it's good by date. Needless to say the only thing eaten off the salad plate was the croutons. Next, the lasagna came out after what seemed like 10 minutes. For something homemade that was pretty fast. I guess it only takes a few minutes in the microwave. It was disgusting. The noodles tasted old and were way overcooked. The bechamel sauce was a very strange texture. There was next to no meat and the sauce tasted burnt. We still had not gotten our pizzas at this point. Apparently, they only bring the food that is cooked and make no effort to have you meal come out all at once so you can eat together. It did appear that they had a lot of pizzas being made, but we went there to eat as a family not to have one of us eat while the others watch. They brought our garlic bread several minutes after the lasagna. It basically looked like a sub roll cut in half, slathered with oil and some parsley. Well, our pizzas FINALLY came out and they were pretty well done. At this point we had been waiting over 45 minutes for our food so we said nothing.and 1 Sausage and Pepperoni. A few bites into our pizzas and the kids remarked that the pepperoni tasted funny. I had a few bites of the Hawaiian and agreed that the meat tasted strange. After asking the waitress what kind of bacon and pepperoni they use I was informed that is turkey not pork and that might be messing with the taste. What?!?!?! I was in shock. How are you going to serve bacon and ham not informing your customers that it is not in fact made of pork. Who orders bacon and ham thinking they are getting freaking turkey? I asked to speak to the manager at this point. I was livid. I went there thinking I was going to get an authentic Italian meal. Instead I got subpar food cooked by someone who has probably never tasted authentic Italian food in his life. I was served bacon that wsn't bacon and ham that wasn't ham. I was served slimy, old salad and dressing well past it's prime. It was horrible. I let him know that I took issue with the food and he proceeded to defend himself. He went on and on about how he makes the lasagna in house daily and how he didn't have to inform his customers that they were not eating pork even though they thought that was what they are being served. He said it was my job as his customer to respect his religious beliefs and his decision not to serve pork. While I am not one to deny someone their religious freedom I also believe that you need to give customers what it is they expect from your establishment. If you decide not to serve pork that is absolutely fine, but do NOT list the topping options on your menu as "bacon, sausage, ham" without specifying that none of these contain pork. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in my life. The decor is horrible. Service was subpar and I wouldn't feed the food to my dog. We will NOT be going back. I do not see how this place stays open and has not had multiple food safety violations. read more

Terrible in every aspect. I ordered veal pizzaiola. The veal was overcooked, dry and tough. The pizzaiola sauce was also cooked to an unpleasant mush. The server was pleasant, but slow and forgetful. The decor was silly strings of artificial leaves. I was in a party if 11 and no one was pleased with their meal. If I led the local Kiwanis, I would find another place to meet. read more
