I've been coming to this place since I was a little kid, and I've never left a review, so I'm here to give my due. I've lived in NC, PA, DC, WA, and NY, and I've never had a pizza even come close to Milano's. Every time I try pizza that is not Milano's, I think to myself, "I really wish this was Milano's". In case you couldn't tell, I really love their pizza. The family that runs the restaurant is also always super kind and provide great service, and they charge a great (cheap) price for their buffet. When I got to the restaurant, I didn't know where to enter because it looks like the place is an abandoned building. They're supposedly renovating but it looks eerie right now. Yelp removed my review because I hurt the feelings of sensitive, triggered Zoomer liberals in San Francisco. Awwww, poor babies. Okay, I'll comment on this location without the trigger words. The pizza was absolutely horrible. The worst ever. Similar to what Matt M. stated, the building is in such horrible condition, you can smell microbial organic compounds (mold's musty smell for the uneducated), when you enter. This is one of Fuquay's gems! The ingredients are fresh, and they make everything from scratch, even the dough. It's family owned and operated, and they are super nice people. My favorite is the Buffalo chicken, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

I stopped in during lunch one hour after they opened. Nothing was ready, only one person working who had her 2 or 3 year old running around unsupervised knocking things over and burning her hand on the stove. Furniture is falling apart, has screws poking out of the chairs. One of the arm rests wobbled off the chair. bathrooms were horrible. But hey, at least the pizza was decent. I drove out to FV only to find that they no longer have a lunch buffet. I didn't have time to stick around, so I went elsewhere, didn't get to even try the food so I can't comment on that. After taking a look at the property it is evident that this place has fallen on hard times. The lawn is just overgrown weeds and the building is threadbare and in dire need of paint. I really wanted to love this place, it's so how to find a good pizza place in the area. Service: Was great, we were seated quickly and the drinks were soon to follow. The also took our requests and had fresh pizza out for us in a matter of minutes. This was greatly appreciated. The workers were extremely nice and very pleasant. Food: This is where everything fell a little flat. This is a buffet style, so everything is fair game. The restaurant has tons of seating but the actual buffet area was so tiny. I think if this area was updated a little to make it easier to grab a slice would make the experience better. The other area for improvement would be the pizza, maybe a crisper crust, not sure the pizza just tasted like a soggy frozen pizza. No disrespect. read more

Rated 'G' for Generic. Buffet was 7.99 and that consisted of a small salad bar and a few different pies. Pizza looked better than it tasted. Crust was thin but had no crunch. Sauce was clearly not fresh and all toppings were merely average. For Service, one person was doing all roles and she was friendly and getting it done. Dining area is enormous and aged. Building itself is in rough shape with obvious maintenance not being done. Overall, I would not recommend this place. read more

I'm going to keep it short - as a buffet pizza place, this is not the one you want to go to, I felt like getting up ald leaving half way through eating. Seriously, go anywhere else before you go here. The pizza is just barely above Cici's quality, the pasta and sauce is bland and the only way for the salad bar to be remarkable would be in a negative way. We came here once and all agreed it would be the last time. Low quality, I questioned the cleanliness of the place, but not quite enough to leave. For a pizza buffet in Fuquay, stick with Pizza Hut unless anyone has something better in mind. read more

Food was okay, service was attentive, good. The place appeared to be clean. As far as the food goes, my party probably came in too late in the game for fresh food to be put out on the buffet. The salad on the salad bar was not fresh, in fact, most of the lettuce was brown(ish). The pasta on the buffet was either drowning in water or dried completely out. The pizza was pleasantly very good. The staff (I'm guessing ownership) were great, letting us have a table that appeared larger than we needed, refilling drinks and removing our emptied buffet plates regularly. A good place to meet with friends when one wants to shoot the breeze have some pizza because there isn't a lot of background noise to impede the conversation. It's very inexpensive, so the wallet isn't getting drained to try the place out. Worth a try for anyone wondering if they should check it out or not. read more

I am literally shocked this place gets bad reviews. This is my absolute favorite pizza place within a 20 mile radius. Believe me I have tried my fair share of pizza places as Sunday is usually pizza day in our house. The pizza crust and sauce flavor is delicious which I've found lacking at many other pizza establishments. Medium crust is what we get and has a perfect crispy outside and soft inside. Highly recommend! The owners are wonderful as well which is the cherry on top! read more

My boyfriend and I came across Milano's on a recent outing in FV. I remember the Milano's at Garner Station a few years back, and how DELICIOUS the food was, so I had to give this a try! I googled the number and asked for price and hours. The lady who answered the phone told me the DINNER buffet was $6.79 not including drinks (we don't drink soda's, only water). SAY WHATTTTT?!?!?! Oh, we were in there like swimwear! :) Milano's is located beside the Harris Teeter shopping center and behind Bojangles. The building itself is an older, white, 2-story house that was converted from a private residence to a restaurant, hence the basketball goal, and garage in the back! The inside is a typical buffet area with various tables and chairs. The decor is outdated, but I didn't go for the frills, I came to eat! There is a flat screen TV hanging from the wall and a fireplace which makes the atmosphere "homey". Upon entering, the hostess took our drink order and told us to seat ourselves. We found a place secluded in a more closed-in section, which was perfect for us. The furniture is not the newest, but it serves the purpose. We visited around 5:30ish. We were limited to the salad bar, as they don't begin displaying pizza and pasta's until they have a "steady" crowd (per the hostess). About 10 minutes later, the piping hot deliciousness was rolled out! :) Thus commenced the rush of us who had our fill of iceburg and ranch! There were about 6 varieties of pizza, and a tray of baked ravioli, and penne. Everything was to standard Milano's quality. The thin cracker crust and the thick pan crust did not leave us disappointed. My only gripe would have to be the small saucer-sized plates at the buffet, otherwise, it was GREAT! To end our carb-loaded feast, we topped it off with Milano's signature chocolate chip pizza and frozen yogurt! The PERFECT ending! The fro-yo AKA "creamy crack" as I like to call it, is absolutely the BEST! The waiter brings you a bowl and spoon which somewhat limits your "creamy crack" consumption :) Overall, we had a very good experience here. It reminded us somewhat of Pizza Inn in taste. Service was great. Our table stayed empty of dirty dishes, and our glasses remained full of ICE cold water! For $6.79, we can overlook the mismatched 1990's decor. We will surely return! read more

First I have to admit that we broke one of our main rules when we went here. I have stated elsewhere that, when it comes to buffets, never go when it's not busy. We had a weak moment and stopped here anyway. Having said that I still feel like I must give an honest review. Our first impression upon entering this establishment was that it was being run by people who either didn't care or couldn't afford to run it properly. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with a family run business but SOMEBODY should have some passion for and pride in their business. It was obvious that this is just a way to try and make money with no real understanding of what an Italian restaurant should be. Tables not cleaned, chairs all askew (I actually straightened a few tables near where we were seated as I couldn't stand it) faded old signage and clutter around the check out area.... NOT really inviting. Our first impression was reinforced by the sight of the buffet service station. Faded, dusty fake bouquets all over the top, two dirty fans directly by the salad bar area and the entire buffet area in need of a wipe down. Anyway my wife is way too nice to leave a place after we have been greeted so I reluctantly sat down determined to give the food an honest try. Let me say this; I am part-Italian and was taught to cook Italian by my mother and a wonderful straight-from-Italy neighbor. The food here had absolutely NO relation to anything Italian. The sauces tasted like they were poured from can to hotel pan. Bland, watery, awful. The pizzas that were there at first had been there for a while and were stale. The salad bar was a bit better except the mixed greens. They seemed to be a couple days old at least. I was afraid we were going to go hungry until they put out 1 fresh pizza. This was actually not bad! So we ate the fresh pizza and made crudites out of the salad bar. This place might be okay for a take out pie but we'll pass on the rest of their food until they get a cook who, at least, knows to add herbs and spices and isn't afraid to throw out old food. LOVE this place. The pizza is SO good. I have family from New York so I'd like to say that I've had my fair share of pizza, but this place takes the cake. The "best" part of the buffet was the small salad bar. The ravioli was frozen and over cooked in a watery marinara sauce, and when I say watery I mean, after eating the pasta and cheese there was a layer of red water covering the bottom of my plate. Best pizza in town! My family and I have been going to Milano's since I was a child. The family running the business has been doing this for 20+ years. There is a fresh buffet for dinner and lunch. Available on the buffet are pizza, pasta, and salad. Speciality pizzas can be requested too. If you aren't really wanting to get the buffet, they have a menu option with more pasta options, sandwiches, really good hot wings, garlic bread, and pizza. The waitress usually has us choose our own seats. From there she takes our drinks and brings us silverware. The waitress was attentive to refilling drinks, bringing us more napkins, and picking up the plates we were finished with. I would definitely recommend trying. Very Nice Staff . However, since I do not eat beef this is not the place for me. They do not cook with pork so all meat is beef. The pepperoni, sausage, and all meats are beef. Very disappointed. Pasta - very watered down Salad - was brown and not many toppings. Cheese sticks were okay but no really good dipping sauce. I tried the veggie pizza and cheese pizza and was nothing to brag about. We ordered pizza for pick up. The service was friendly and the pizza was fine, but the meat was low quality. The chicken on our Milano chicken pizza was dry. And all of the meat on our meat lovers pizza was what you would get on a bagel bite or in a frozen pizza roll. It wasn't bad; it just wasn't worth $20. read more

Buffet had rusty lettuce, some wilted veggies and nasty looking dressings. There was one cheese pizza, 1/3 of a pepperoni and 2 slices of mushroom on the warmers, that's it !. They did not offer to bring out any fresh pizzas. The restaurant itself was dirty and smelled strongly of urine. The owner or his wife and their daughter stood by the register chatting, never once coming over to check our drink levels or to bring more pizza out. If we had not been hungry, we would have walked out. Oh, and there were tall weeds growing up by the walkway and the yard needed mowing badly. Horrible service!!! Staff members loudly arguing in the kitchen, saw our server twice and she really couldn't have cared less whether we were happy or not. Food mediocre at best. Came for dinner buffet and the only thing on the buffet was leftover salad from lunch that wasn't edible. We waited 40 minutes for them to finish bringing all the food out. Staff members were alternating between kitchen and playing video games and eating off the buffet. Very unprofessional. I know it's a cheap place to eat but really, talk about a group of people that were obviously not happy at their job!! Won't be back :-( read more

Milanos has been the best pizza in FV for at least 15 years. The buffet is always kept full and they also offer a few pastas that are good too. The salad bar does not disappoint. Also, if you order out you can get bogo free when ordering large pizza. For any one that loves meat lovers pizza you are really missing out if you haven't tried theirs!!
