This by far has been the worst Mexican food I ever had. Rice and beans lack flavor and seasoning, the Queso was watery and tasteless. The steak didn't have any flavor and was dryer than the Sahara desert, the fajita plate didn't have any lick of seasoning. Let me just start by saying that you know you're in a good Mexican restaurant when the horchata is on point, best part is there is free refills for the horchata! With the selection in this area being so limited, Mi Casita is a good, reliable place for lunch or dinner. They have some of the best mexican food I have ever had and I will definitely be frequenting this place as long as I am in this area. Several things I've tried so far: Fajitas Trio - ABSOLUTELY delicious. For $14, you get three different kinds of meats, all cooked to perfection. The portion size is huge and well worth its cost. Burritos Fundidos - I have gone with a friend to Mi Casita at least 3 times now, and each time she gets this dish. She almost never finishes it because the portion size is so huge, but without fail, she always get this dish. It is delicious. Quesadillas - any of the quesadillas are good. I've had the Quesadilla Supreme (with beef tips) and it was so so good. THE CHIPS & SALSA - these are free, but definitely close to some of the best chips & salsa I've had at a mexican restaurant. Fried Mexican Banana - literally a banana in a fried tortilla....and it's actually pretty good. I would find someone to share it with though as it can be pretty filling. Mi Casita Sweet Trio - my friend ordered this and I tried a few bites of what was on her plate. Big fan of the fried cheescake and churro, but the sopapilla was a little less exciting. I would suggest just buying the cheescake or the churro on its own. Lastly, they've got great margaritas here! :D read more

First off the staff is wonderful. We were seated in front of the kitchen which have an open view. All of the staff was wonderful from the waitress to the kitchen staff. They were great. I ordered a chicken and shrimp rice bowl with veggies and a strawberry daiquiri. They were both awesome!!!! Everything was blended so well and the food was delicious!!!!. Ambience was nice and location is central. Customer service was great, I was greeted immediately. The waiter even changed out chips with warm ones! However, I almost threw up after seeing the guacamole. It looked like it was squeezed out a tube. It disgusted me so much I wanted it off the table but didn't want to be rude. I gave it a chance and could not continue eating it. The salsa also came out of what looked like a plastic ketchup bottle with the tip cut off. -I got the chicken wings with rice supposedly a speciality. It was chicken wings with hot sauce drizzled on it with Mexican rice. -fiancé got the Enchiladas with poblano sauce. I dipped my wings in the Poblano sauce! I'm not sure the people who own this chain of restaurants are real Mexicans. There doesn't seem to be any Mexican pride here. The food is passable but it's very mild. I wasn't able to detect a single chile pepper in all the food I had. Have you heard of jalapeño peppers? Or Serrano peppers? The salsa is little better than ketchup. And what is that runny white liquid they pass off as $5 cheese dip? That is the most tasteless thing I've ever seen placed on a restaurant table. You can't get it to stay on the chip, it's so watery. I know you're trying to feed the masses here but please, be a little more autentico! Great service, btw. read more

Stopped in after a long hike at Raven Rock State Park. Looked busy so I figured it was good food. Seated right away on a holiday weekend. Chips and salsa brought to table quickly. I like the fresh salsa with cilantro but they had a smoother kind in a little carafe. Chips were nice and warm. They have a vegetarian section. I ordered a veggie combo of a burrito, quesadilla and chalupa. It was your typical Mexican food. Filling and came out hot. Prices are reasonable. Fun and colorful decor and very clean restaurant. It's a no for me. I can't say that I've ever been to a single Mi Casita and had a pleasant experience. It was actually an accident that I went to this location. I was invited and didn't realize this restaurant was part of the same gross chain where I encountered the standard hot plate cold food routine with meals that comes out as fast as they can microwave them. Needless to say, I won't be going back, and if you enjoy food that is appetizing and doesn't leave you with a bloated belly ache, you should avoid this restaurant as well. There are too many good places nearby to waste time with slop like this. Good sweet tea though, which was necessary to wash down the agony of self hate one must force themselves through when they endure an evening at any Mi Casita. read more

Horrible experience! My husband and I were craving Mexican food so were drove 30 minutes from Sanford. 1. The margarita tasted like cheap lime mix & I'm pretty sure there was no alcohol in it 2. My husband had a hair in his food 3. The beef in my burrito tasted like canned food 4. The chicken enchiladas had pounds of salt 5. The squirted sour cream & guacamole looked like prepackaged frozen condiments Overall, do not recommend! Don't waste your money. We enjoyed Mi Casita's take-out. My mom ordered Combo Plate #15 (1 chalupa, 1 beef taco and 1 beef tostado with nacho cheese). Hubs ordered Combo Plate #3 (1 enchilada, 1 taco and 1 chile relleno). And I ordered veggie fajitas and chicken soup. Hubs and I agreed that the soup was the best thing we ordered. It was a bit spicy, a bit sour with nicely shredded chicken breast, rice and diced avocado. The soup also arrived with its very own half a lime for topping and garnish. Not necessary but a yummy add-in. We were given two lunch bags of warm tortilla chips as well as several tiny pots of salsa. Both fine. We ordered an extra side of guacamole and bean dip to share amongst the three of us. Good thing too. The guac was very fresh and very tasty, and the standard portion of guacamole salad served with the fajita meal was frankly insufficient for my taste. The bean dip was okay but not a highlight and arrived with a thick white cheese on top. Not my preference. All in all a pleasant if somewhat over-priced take-out experience in a small town where take-out options are limited. I would recommend and will probably visit again. read more

I thought their portions were very small and overpriced. The salsa was bland. Would not recommend the chimichangas and if you order queso make sure you tell them the specific size you want. My friends ordered some queso and they brought it in a to go drink style cup (about 16 oz.) and when they got the bill they were charged about $11 for it. It was ridiculous. I've had so much better for so much less. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more
