Our first time at Mi Cancun in Angier, North Carolina was amazing! New to the area and just stumbled across the absolute best meal I've had in a very long time! My husband had the small portion of Ceviche De Camaron and said it was delicious. I had the Salmon Tacos and Salad and it was amazing! The service was super friendly, the food came out quickly and was perfect! This is my new favorite place. I highly recommend! read more

Service is always 50/50 but the food is always 100% Drinks are overpriced but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu food wise. Seating and parking can be tight but be patient it's worth it. Atmosphere is typical Mexican restaurant but can be very loud at times. Recommend checking them out even if just for take out! read more

The food was ok, nothing to write home about. The pozole I ordered said to come with cabbage and radish but it was served with red onions and green lettuce and parsil instead, it is not the taste I was expecting. The chilaquiles were not it, it came with steamed veggies and the eggs were overcooked plus rice? Since when? The tamales were ok but a bit dry, the tacos would have been better if they were steak instead of ground meat‍. Overall, I know it was a busy day but the taste was lacking and with three mistakes in my order I was disappointed. The overall service was attentive and the ambience was festive, they gave away t-shirts with the restaurant logo per every check...that was nice but I will not be coming back for a while read more

We came to the restaurant based on the yelp reviews. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. It was affordable. The salsa had some heat. However, the food was ridiculously bad. No seasoning. Rice-a-roni. Canned chicken. How can carnitas be dry and still able to press grease out of it? Uncooked tortillas. (Okay. Not homemade? Fine. But at least heat them.) Much of it was totally inedible. We didn't even bother taking it home to our dog. I have less problems with the restaurant than I do with the yelp reviews. If you actually think this is good mexican food, please preface your review with "I have never left North Carolina, but..." read more

The food was ok....I felt like they changed something but other than that it ok! Service was nice but the orders didn't come quick. The area was nice inside little bit dirty but it was good! read more

The place feels pretty small but the ambiance is nice. It looks like where we sat used to be outside and then it was converted to be indoors. The food was yummy. My burrito did not seem very appealing from the outside but it tasted really good and the sweet corn was delicious as well. Our server was very polite and got us everything we needed. Would definitely return again if I'm in the area. read more

Had high expectations for this place. The inside felt a little cluttered. Didn't go to the bar. The chips and salsa were good. The food was just ok but came out super super quick. I didn't order something I would normally eat so I will revisit and give them another shoot. read more

What can I say...average food and ok price. There are much better food trucks and taco joins for a more authentic meal.

Went back here again after some time! Ordered steak over rice, the steak was too burnt. I wish they could pull it out a little bit early. In addition to that, the tortilla was default to flour :( i wish they could provide corn tortillas without being asked. Ambiance was nice but a little hard to accommodate party more than 6 people. read more

Are you looking for authentic Mexican? Look no further. It's a small little place located right off 55 but it's jam packed with flavor. The restaurant is quaint and clean. Plenty of tvs and a full bar if you want to catch a glimpse of a sporting event while here. Side note: be prepared... the food comes out quick. I would say with 5-6 minutes after ordering our food, it was being delivered to the table I ordered the enchiladas suizas. They are stuffed with shredded chicken and topped with salsa verde, sour cream and queso. Incredibly flavorful. Heads up. Parking is limited and can be an issue during busy times. If you happen to be in Angier, stop by. If not look for their other locations. read more

This place is really good. Service was great. It was packed and the food was awesome. We had a California burrito. A carne asada plate and the fajitas. All amazing. Their homemade salsa is top notch. The restaurant smelled really clean and the decor definitely felt like you were in Cabo. read more

This place, hands down, has the best food, ambiance and service! From the second you walk through the door you are met with a smiling face that leads you right to a table. Within seconds you have chips and salsa at the table and your order for drinks is taken. You never have to search for help. You look up and immediately someone meets your eyes and comes over to help. It may not even be your server. The margaritas are unsurpassed, delicious and beautiful! But the FOOD, Always on point, flavorful, delicious! I cannot say anything but wonderful things about this place. My go-to place for Mexican! Yummy! read more

Food is great but my favorite thing is the impeccable service! Chips and salsa and our drink order is taken within seconds of sitting down, food comes out quick, they are super on top of drink and chip refills and clearing trash and finished plates from the tables. Everyone is very respectful and professional. read more

I can't fault them for choosing a horrible location, but it's cramped, awkward and hot as hell in the summer. The food is always good when you eat there in person, but they fail miserably when you order delivery. You have a 50/50 chance of getting the correct order and they refuse to give us a side of salsa with our entrées. I have messaged them multiple times and requested that they add a side of salsa to their online ordering, but have never received a response. Stick with the Holly Springs location because it's much better! read more

Amazing food - great service! So glad we gave this restaurant a try - and the drink specials were on point !

Service was very good. No complaints. The food, on the other hand, was not great. I'm not sure what was in the ground beef, but it was unlike any other Mexican food I've had. It almost tasted like sloppy joe. The mole sauce was sweet and tasted kind of like spaghetti sauce. The rice had no flavor at all and the beans were more like bean soup. The chips and salsa were the only part we enjoyed. read more

The food was good and the service was fast. The ambiance was nice and great for kids. The waiters were very on top of everything refilled our drinks and chips and salsa the whole time we were seated. I had the fajitas with all three meats. It was the first time I had vegetables in my fajitas. They put broccoli and zucchini in them. The michelada was so good and very big. It's the first time I never was able to finish it. The prices were just right for the food. I will be coming back read more

This place lost my respect and business after what happened to us Saturday night. We eat here at least once a week and last Saturday, 03/29/25, we were involved in a hit and run by a red, lifted ford 250, let's not forget my husband and I and OUR baby were in the car at the time we were hit. I got out of the car thinking the truck was going to stop and get out.. no he decided to speed out of the parking lot while giving me the middle finger. I ran inside asking management if their cameras work because we were just hit and the guy ran. You know what they told me? No our cameras don't work so I called the police. The police asked if the cameras were really not working and they changed their story real quick. Unfortunately we weren't able to get a plate but I know the truck and the description of the lovely man who hit my vehicle and continued to drive. We drop soooo much money at this place. We always bring friends or family with us because we truly enjoy the food and drinks but after Saturday, I will not be back. I don't care how good this place is. I was a paying customer in an accident in YOUR parking lot but you wanted to protect the guy who was in the wrong? SHAME ON YOU! I've worked in the food industry before and a good manager isn't going to lie about their cameras working or protecting someone when they're in the wrong. UPDATE: 04/24/2025 - owner reached out.. it has now been over 3 weeks and never recieved an emailed, call, or given me an update. Disappointed and upset is an understatement at this point. The way this business has handled this situation has been very upsetting. My family and I have been brushed off. Will not be returning to this location. Your parking lot is not safe especially when it's extremely busy. read more

The food was amazing. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted immediately. The service was very good. Some of the best Mexican food I have had since I moved to this area. Prices for lunch were ok but, certainly comparable to high end fast food for two people. We will definitely be going back to try more. I did not care for the parking lot. It was tight for a large truck. read more
