The bottled red salsa had a bit of smokiness to it, Amazing. All3 we're great!

Fantastic place to find by chance. Having moved from Texas recently, the food here is as close as what I found in some of the border towns. A lot of Mexican places are really Tex-mex. Not this place. Oh and the service here is amazing.

When your food is so good that even the napkin catches feelings Authentic flavor at Tacos Oaxaca Taqueria -- you gotta try it!

Hidden Gem in Fuquay! We stopped by Tacos Oaxaca Taqueria and had such a great experience! It's a small, authentic little spot with amazing flavor and friendly service. I ordered the steak and chorizo gorditas, and my husband had the beef tacos -- everything was delicious and full of authentic taste. Our waitress, Dulce, was so sweet and attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us often. You can tell she truly cares about her customers. We decided to sit outside and had such a pleasant time -- great food, great atmosphere, and even better service. If you're in Fuquay, definitely stop by and ask for Dulce! You won't regret it. We'll definitely be coming back!

This spot is small but really cute. We started off with a round of beers and an order of cheese dip. For our meals it was the combo tacos (you get two tacos with rice and beans) with a margarita (no salt) for me and the Texas ACP for my mom. The food and drinks were both good. My only complaint is that it got busier towards the end of service so it took a while to pay.

As I write this, they've been in business for only a month. A friend told me about them weeks ago and they weren't registered on Google Maps at the time, so I literally just got here. Glad I made it. Not a fan of chains when it comes to Mexican, but these guys have it figured out. And by "chain," they aren't really a "Taco Bell" type franchise, so that helps a lot too. So far, I am just trying out the tacos. I mean, it's in their name... Pollo, lengua and brisket. Can't say brisket is in my idea of traditional Mexican, yet I don't care. It's delicious. The tongue was better than I expected (Michael Scott would have a ball with that one) and the chicken was chicken. The chips and salsa were average fare. I loved the red and green hot sauces. Sizeable enough for a few couples and families. Great prices - my tacos were just over $10, and they filled me up. The service was kind and good-natured, which always works for me, even if the food is blah. The food was not blah. Yeah man, this is my new spot. Drop in for some good Mexican food. The menu is much more elaborate than the tacos I tried, so this experience for me will have to just serve as an appetizer for you. Get on out there and give them some business! A.

Mmmmm...Carne asada burrito and carnitas burrito - hold the sour cream, please!

Although we recently got two "real" (i.e., sit-down) restaurants here in Fuquay, fast food generally rules. So I was intrigued when I read the great reviews of Tacos Oaxaca. It's in a strip mall that's kind of beat (they *really* need to repave that parking lot), so I was skeptical. But I finally got around to stopping by yesterday after phoning in a take-out order. I stopped in to pick up my order. It's a relatively small place, but with an appealing, authentic ambience. The gentleman at the counter (whose name I neglected to ask) had my order - one carne asada burrito and one carnitas burrito, hold the sour cream - ready and waiting. After I got home, I took my first bite and said, "Oh my *God*!!" Seriously, I was so loud I alarmed the dog. It was *so* good. Also, they were big enough that I could get only halfway through one (although I did my best to eat it all). This photo does not do the food justice. I have a very strong feeling I will have to return to Tacos Oaxaca to eat there (and *maaaaybe* try one of their margaritas). My new go-to spot.

Wanted some tacos but didn't want to drive to Raleigh. Saw good reviews and went in to try Tacos Oaxaca. Full menu was available online. Called in foe a carry out order and they were very pleasant on the phone. I was greeted when I walked in the door and there was a nice amount of people dining in. The place was clean, open and we could see the kitchen. They have a full bar from what we could tell. We ordered the birra, brisket, carna asada, and shrimp tacos. All the meats were cooked perfectlying. The tacos were served with salsa Verde and it gave the tacos great flavor. I would have like a crema for the shrimp taco and will order next time. My husband all order quaso and he loved it! The salad and chips were also fresh. We will be back to try more.

Overall, the food was pretty good, but I think it was overpriced for the size. I could make better quesadillas at home if I had the right meat and we didn't order a second burrito, but we got an extra one and got charged. We feel bad for the waitress because she told us that she was going to have to comp the pay for the burrito that she mistakenly added. The ambiance of the resurants was not well balanced with the service or food.

The best tacos I've ever had in my 37 years. That's all I have to say. Except maybe do yourself a favor, and GEAUX!

The food was not that good. Mexican food is much better in Philadelphia. The food was bland.

Chips and salsa came out quickly after. The lady that was my waitress was very helpful and attentive. They have lunch specials until 3:00 so I chose a beef fajita burrito that came with beans and rice. The burrito was a good size and came out warm. Beans and rice were typical of most places. The burrito has lots of green peppers. The only issue was the beef was not very tender and had a lot of fatty pieces. I would give the burrito a 3 but otherwise a 4 for everything else, especially the service. There are two prices on the receipt, the cash price being cheaper. I will go back and try a different entree as they had a great selection.

The atmosphere…read moredefinitely gave off a very rundown, no-frills vibe--the kind of place that feels a bit worn around the edges. That said, the service was incredibly cordial and kind, which made the experience feel welcoming despite the dated surroundings. I ordered the carne asada burrito, and it was genuinely delicious. The meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked well, and while the burrito was kept simple--just meat, beans, and rice--it worked. Sometimes less is more, and in this case, it delivered. My wife tried a bean and cheese burrito and a pupusa. Unfortunately, both missed the mark. The bean and cheese burrito lacked flavor and tasted more like something you'd make quickly at home. The pupusa was even more disappointing--it didn't resemble a traditional one at all and had little of the soft, griddled texture or flavor you'd expect. All in all, I'd give this spot a solid 7/10. The burritos are the real stars here, and I'd gladly come back just to enjoy another carne asada one. If you're looking for top-tier pupusas or a polished dining experience, this probably isn't your place. But if you want a no-fuss, friendly spot with a great burrito, La Taqueria is worth a stop.
