A delicious and authentic mexican drive thru. We got the carne asada tacos with cheese, a steak quesadilla, and the elote. Everything was great except the elotes which had no flavor. I have been searching for a delicious and more authentic breakfast burrito that delivers, and Los Cuates sure did deliver! I ordered the breakfast burrito and it came with egg, bacon, and cheese. I added avocado & pico de gallo. It's served with a spicy sauce as well as a Chimichurri sauce on the side. The burrito was amazing and HUGE. I ate less than half and will be saving the rest for tomorrow! I do wish there was a bit more egg in the burrito. I'll surely be ordering from here again! So delicious and fresh! I stopped here for some quick dinner after a long day of helping family out. I loved that they had a drive through because i was tired and wanted something to go. My cousin lives in thr area and she frequent this spot regularly. I ordered a chicken burrito and the price wa fair. The staff was friendly and there wasn't a long wait. Unfortunately I wasn't a big fan of the burrito it lacked flavor. I was shocked and disappointed because the burrito was very hearty. I ate half with some chips and then doctored up the other half the following day. lol The Yelp reviews were good fly this spot so it could've just been an off day. I would check out this spot again to see if some other menu options are better. read more

Hands down the best place for fast food street tacos in the RDU area, if you disagree I need proof!!! This place is a staple for me anytime I'm back home and have a craving for asada street tacos. The service and quality of food is always consistent each time I visit. For everyone that just moved to Raleigh, as I just did, WORST FOOD EVER. I've gotten this place twice. First time I got birria tacos. Not bad. Although the second taco I bit into was a huge piece of fat. Yes, birria is fatty so I let it go. Tn, I ordered chicken tacos, the entire chicken taco was a thing of fat. Slimy fat and no chicken whatsoever. Do not ever get food from them. They suck and my chicken meal literally made me throw up. And I don't throw up. read more

Can't believe food this good is served in a drive thru. We love both locations, but somehow the Capital location drive thru is just the best (love the drinks at wake forest location tho). The food is hot, fresh, and consistently delicious. Drive thru is fast and service is great, always friendly employees. The guac, queso, churros, tacos... best in Raleigh. Saw another review about high prices, but the portions are huge and so worth it. read more

Los Cuates always delivers! My usual go to is the carne asada burrito with rice and beans added. I'm from California and this the foods reminds me of home. The horchata is quenching and rich in flavor. The tacos are just enough but can creep up on you because they are delicious! You can never eat just a couple! If you are in the mood for good taqueria type food, Los Cuates is the spot! read more

This place has a lot of potential. However, the quality of food and service I got depended on who was working. When only the guys were there, the food was great and so is the customer service. When the girls are working with them, or when only the girls were there, there was always something wrong with my order. One time I had hair in my food and another time it was a couple of eyelashes. One girl would up-charge me for two separate sides of rice and beans, but the guys would automatically charge me the price for rice and beans together. The first time she did this, I knew the price was more expensive, but I didn't check the receipt until I got home. The next time she was working, she did the same thing and I had to ask her to change the order to include the rice and beans together in one box. I could tell it rubbed her the wrong way, but I wasn't rude about it. The next time I came back, girls weren't there and my food was right. I went back another time and she happened to be working. I always order carne asada tacos and/or birria tacos. I ordered two carne asada tacos and she gave me chicken instead. It's such a shame because this place could really be a Raleigh staple. But the inconsistency is apparent. This place is amazing when it's great, but horrible when it's bad. I used to go here maybe 10 times for the past two years and then about 10 times a month more recently when I didn't have access to a kitchen. I never returned back after the chicken instead of steak incident a few months ago. I raved about this place on TikTok, but soon took down the video after all these events. It has hit or miss food and it's definitely not the only taco spot in Raleigh. I think it's popular because it's really convenient and has a drive thru. However, if you're able and willing to go to a different place (walk in/food truck walk up), consider doing that instead of taking your chances here. read more

This is my go-to-spot when I've had a long day. The food is made fresh as you order. Being a CA native, I appreciate their burritos being made the CA way --lots of meat, pico & guac. Their birria tacos, horchata etc are also good! Their customer service is also amazing. Would recommend read more

When it comes to Mexican eats, I'm a big fan of Los Cuates. While I'm usually at the Wake Forest Road location, Los Cuates Capital Blvd has its advantages if you just care about the food. Since there's no dining area and it's all take out, it's perfect for a quick burrito that you can snack on, out of hand. I usually end up with one of their breakfast burritos (about $6) and usually go with the chorizo and egg. Love their carne asada burritos which runs about $8. While they may not look big, Los Cuates burritos are loaded with the good stuff, like carne asada meat and some guac. It's a California style burrito so don't expect any rice or beans. Just be aware this place it take-out only and the rating is just about the food and basic service cause that's all there is at Los Cuates Cap Blvd! read more

Yum! I really like this place. They serve Mexican food that reminds me of street food in Los Angeles, CA. I come here a few times a month and get their enchiladas, hard tacos, rolled tacos (taquitos), and churros. They are open late which is a plus and the food is made to order. I also like the fact that they hire young people. I will continue to come here and also bring my family along as well when they visit. The only downside is that they don't put enough meat in their tamales. About 80% of the tamales is masa. read more

Ordered food. Missing beans in rice in burrito (paid extra $1.79) not a big deal but still, my burrito was only meat. Though good, not what I wanted. Order Carne Asada plate. Very good flavor. All all in the food was fairly good. However,dinged then because whoever delivered the food (unsure if Grubhub or actual employee) placed my food by my door but never bothered to knock or ring the bell. So I got my food cold and almost an hour aftertastes was dropped off. Called restaurant and the lady who picked up was awesome. Very sweet, did not take an attitude but was also trying to be fair to her driver and asked to give her a minute to follow through. That alone impressed me. Overall pretty good... Started rough- ordered online and the lobby was closed. didn't realize it was a drive thru or I would've gotten it fresh because my tacos were suppppper soggy. I ordered about an hour ahead but it was clearly done well before. The reason for 3, not 2, stars were the TACOS. Sooooo good. I got the shrimp tacos and street taco with carnitas. They were both awesome! Shrimp was quite spicy, but really delicious. The street taco was also yummy. My grilled onions barely hit a grill, but still very good. The guacamole was also good, though my container wasn't near full and my chips tasted like verrrry old fryer oil. Next time I'll get just tacos. They didn't have the tamarind soda, which was why I ordered it. They subbed pineapple, but I would've preferred a refund on it. I also got mystery sauces(likely complimentary but not labeled) the green one hit the back of my tongue and tasted like pickled jalapeños. Good if you like that... I wasn't a great fan. The red was delicious but hit the front of the tongue and was not doable for more than a bite. read more

If you like meat, JUICY meat this is youThe amount of flavor that's incorporated into each bite makes your mouth water for the next bite you take. The carne asada fries were loaded. The serving size could feed at least 3-4 people depending on your appetite. It was amazing!!! Every cheese pull is longer than the next. This place is great for late night food. There's an authentic feel to this place that makes it also feel like home. This place is delicious and won't fail to please anyone's pallet. Um this place is amazing? Of course, I came here to try those viral quesabirria tacos, but I will definitely have to come back to try more of their menu. I ordered through grubhub and have to pick up through the drive-through since their lobby area is closed. I didn't interact with the people inside much but just from the drive-thru, they seemed nice. Such good food! The tacos were loaded with meat and cheese and the consomé was super good! So glad to have a place 'somewhat' close by for good food :) read more

I've been eating from los cuates since I was 8yrs old, I am now 26. With that being said, since day one I've appreciated the Cali style food, from the sopes, tacos, platillos and burritos. The service can tend to be a bit slower then an ordinary drive thru since it's not a fast food place but it's totally worth the wait. read more

I had a Machacca Burrito and my wife had a Steak, Egg, and Cheese Burrito. Both were reasonably priced, well sized, and very tasty. The service was excellent. I absolutely love Mexican food and eat it at least once a week. This food was absolutely disgusting. I ordered the ACP and I literally couldn't eat it because it tasted so bad. I hate to rate low because I love this place and being from southern Cali, I know what their food should taste like. The reason I'm upset is because they started putting fillers (beans & rice) in their carneasada burrito. I understand trying to save money, but please go back to original ingredients in your burrito's. It's very upsetting that you are trying to save money over keeping your customers happy. read more
