I've eaten here several times over the years and while I've not had a particularly bad experience I've not had a great one either. I typically would call in my order, however based on reviews I decided to go in person and determine if I'd order. Tried take out from this location for the first time on a Sunday night. We ordered inside and our food was ready really quickly. They can't do their trademark salsa bar due to COVID, so instead you can get 2 salsas of your choice with your order (plus plenty of chips). I ordered the build your own bowl with chicken, pico, guac and jack cheese. There were a ton of toppings which made this enough for two meals. Everything tasted really fresh and flavorful. Mexican fast food which included tacos, burritos, enchiladas, plus more. We got here and ordered just before their dinner rush. The food was pretty decent. Can't really ruin meat with cheese, well actually its possible. I wanted their fish tacos but unfortunately, they couldn't tell me what kind of fish they served. I had to pass on the fish tacos. I decided on their chicken and cheese only (hate lettuce and tomatoes) enchilada which came with a side of fresh chips topped with more cheese :-) The best part of ordering from here is being able to select different types of fresh sauces that you can pack yourself. For me personally, it wasn't really a low fat dinner but it's a place that offers quick easy takeout. read more

I hate to give low ratings... but I'm still disappointed about spending money here. I'm very surprised by the high rating ... I ordered their chicken, steak, and shrimp tacos along with guacamole to get a taste of it all. My friend ordered a burrito and queso. I could literally make better tasting tacos at my own house .... these are 100% not authentic and severely lacking flavor. My friend also didn't like her food and didn't think the queso was authentic. The guacamole was good, but that's it. Save your money and find authentic ethnic food somewhere else! read more

DELICIOUS! We are a family of four and just had an awesome lunch. Super fresh, flavorful, and very reasonably priced. I had the chicken tamales and they were so good. The salsa bar is great. Notwithstanding, the actual food left much to be desired. My tamales were rather dry, but the guacamole was decent. Portions were generous with lots of chips. This is good food. A franchise, but still locally owned and tasty!!! One comment. If you are ordering online don't use a delivery service. They take as much as 30% of the food cost plus sometimes an additional delivery fee from the restaurant. These delivery businesses will not survive because restaurants are figuring out they lose money on every meal, but until then we can support local by NOT using the online delivery services. read more

I felt like I was back in Austin for a moment while eating. The food was sooo good and fresh! Hub and I had a BYOB steak burrito and veggie bowl, respectively. The girl at front had us fill out a checklist for our items, which made it really easy. My 8 year old chose a crispy taco kids combo. I loved the options available such as queso fresco crumbled on top, avocado salsa, guacamole, etc all for a very reasonable $7.39, or something like that. Husband was really surprised at how large his burrito was (under $8) and immediately said, "This is delicious." My son chose a crispy corn tortilla, and it was definitely not a taco shell you buy at Publix. It looked like it was fried up on the spot. Chips were crispy and fresh and salsa was oh-so-fresh and salty. You should definitely try this and I'm getting hungry as I write this. read more

Burritos are the most popular item and they offer several variations as well as different meats to have in it. You can also get either "enchilada style", which is red sauce and cheeses melted over the top, or & "chimichanga style", which is deep fried. Tacos are not to be overlooked though as they are pretty good. Taquitos are good here but definitely eat them while they are fresh out and hot. Overall this is a solid eating option as it's better than most "NC-Style" Mexican restaurants in the area. Still not authentic but it's a decent meal. read more

I love to build my own burrito from this place! It seems like a mom and pop restaurant, but it's amazing! I believe they have the freshest and most delicious pico around! The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because no one preparing the food had on a mask. This refreshing little meal spot tucked in a shopping complex is the real deal! I dropped in for lunch and was overwhelmed by their menu. Plenty of Mexican options for your palate to enjoy. All of the seating are small round high top tables that are inconvenient for parties larger than 3 people. The food is made fresh and phenomenal. My group tried the Burrito Bowl, Tostada, Nachos and a kids meal with a mini Chicken Quesadilla. We totally killed all of it...needless to say a satisfying lunch. The salsa bar has plenty of options, my favorite being the Spicy Avocado Salsa. Almost every menu item can be made "Enchilada" style with red sauce or "Chimichanga" style deep fried. They also have some Platter options that can feed a family of 5...it's on my to-do list along with the Tamales. The staff was very friendly and eager to help answer questions. My husbands job had this place come and cater lunch. My husband was very impressed with the food and how fresh it was and suggested we try it sometime. We decided to meet and actually come eat here as a family of 4. To me the food was very unfufilling I had the Fajita burrito with chips. My daughter had a Steak burrito bowl and she really didn't enjoy it at all. While we were eating a gentleman came in and asked to speak to the manager because he had come by last night and today on his credit card a charge was reflected that they charged him twice. A manager started talking louder then she needed to so we all knew what the gentleman's business was completely unnecessary behavior. The gentleman then proceeded to tell her that since they couldn't make it right he would just dispute it with his credit card company. The manager seemed completely indifferent and uninterested . Waited for the gentleman to leave and started talking Spanish to her crew not taking into account that there's other patrons at the location who actually speak Spanish and understood her unkind demeanor. Mmmmm, I guess enjoy this place overall but there are an equal amount of things I dislike. I'll get to those towards the end. I will say this is a nice stop for some quick "Mexican" grub. The staff is smiley and welcoming when you walk in the door, and they're willing to help you choose something if you can't make a decision. I love talking to the nice ladies that take our order- they're always super kind. I like to get a burrito when I visit Salsa Fresh, but to be honest that's all I really enjoy. It's not "authentic" Mexican cuisine by any means. The chips are the best part of the meal in my opinion. I get the burrito when I go and personalize it the way I prefer, but no matter how much sour cream, salsa, and queso I ask for, it never seems to be moist enough.
