The service is quick and friendly, I've tried a bunch of their food but it was always non vegetarian options. This time I went with a vegetarian friend so we ended up ordering the enchilada with mole sauce (subbed the chicken for vegan filling and cheese) and the vegano tacos. I generally never order tacos at such restaurants but this one really hit the spot ! The price is a little higher than the other Mexican restaurants, but it does make up for it with the ambience. While we did pay and park in front of the restaurant they did have a sign for validation if you park at the back.

They have a salsa bar where you can get all kinds of different salsas for your entrees or chips. Horchata is on point. Parking lot is attached and free. I asked that he remove the item from our bill and he declined doing that, saying "well, we re-did the chicken that you felt was underdone." No class at all. Manager needs lessons in dealing with the culinary public. We won't be back. None of the food was any good anyway.

I couldn't eat it. I ordered a steak burrito and the first bite I gagged on gristle. I don't think anyone could have sliced through that with a butcher knife, so someone knew they were serving trash. I took another tentative bite and it was ok. The third bite had to be spit out for the same issue. I threw the rest in the trash. Couldn't even feed it to my dog. She deserves better. read more

Our dinner has apparently been sitting there since around 7:00, and nobody thought to let us know? Cool. Love that for us. It's now 7:40 PM, and I'd like a refund. I'm told there's an issue with the online order. Okay, but how exactly is that my problem? So, I drive to the restaurant myself to pick up the food that was supposed to be delivered. I ask for a $17 refund to cover the delivery fee and tip. I get $7 and am told to the refund of a tip. Fine no worries. Great consumer service. Finally make it home, open the food, and all food is cold. No worries! At this point, we are committed. We will just eat whatever is inside. Tacos - the beef? Charred and tough. The other items on our order? Soggy. So, all in all, everyone is winning tonight! best $80 I have ever spent!

That all changed recently when I suddenly was struck by a near-murderous craving for tacos and was not going to stop talking about it until my husband either left the room or I had tacos (Taco Bell does not do here, and neither does Chuys). I really did not know what sort of Mexican food I'd find here, and Yelp led me to Taqueria y Restaurant el Primo. Short answer - the food is delicious. Get it. Their website had a contact button, and I needed to know if they had aguachile, as their website menu didn't have it listed but their Yelp menu does. With absolutely no expectation that they would ever respond, I sent them a message through their contact form. Not only did an actual person respond, they responded within ten minutes. The service is legit. Where they could improve is their online presence. It seems you can order online through their Yelp listing, but their menu as of last Friday was inconsistent with their website menu (which had no way to order online). Their Facebook page did have a link to order online, and even that was a bit confusing with the options such as rice and beans. But it worked - we ordered Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo, a pork carnitas burrito, and a beef barbacoa burrito. Everything was SO GOOD - burritos stuffed with well-seasoned meat, shrimp was hot and garlicky, and rice and beans were perfect. Everything was hot and ready when they said it would be. The music inside was very loud - I had to shout at the server to be heard - so that would make for an unpleasant dine-in experience for us. But we all loved our food and my son immediately said he wanted to go back. I want this place to succeed and so do you, even if you don't know it yet.
