This place was kinda neat. They were located down the street from our hotel. It looked like the kind of place that we just had to try. They didn't let us down, but really didn't impress. The waitress was great. The margarita was alright; basically mix and tequila, nothing special, but decently priced. We ordered the guacamole that's made at your table, or at least that's how the menu described it. They brought it out from the kitchen, and it was really good, but if you describe on the menu that it's made at the table, well it's a little bit of a letdown. It's been a few weeks now, so I can't remember exactly what we ordered, but I can say it was like microwaved Tex-Mex. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad. I'll mention again the waitress, who seemed to be running the show alone, was great. read more

This was the absolute most disgusting plate of ceviche ive ever had. They claim to marinate cook the shrimp with lime but it's legit raw as you can see. I had the throw this plate away. The server was rude and I would Never recommend going here. $126 for trash food. There's so many better places near by. Avoid this restaurant at all cost. read more

Honestly great service. Idk what these people are talking about. The food was great and the vibes immaculate. The service was great but not suffocating. Our orders were taken with care and so were we. read more

Food was great, but the service was... bad. We were seated nicely but our waitress sandy was rude and made our table feel like a burden to her. She forgot multiple things and when we got our bills, they were already taxed but then everyone's bill went up 10% more when we got the receipt to sign. Our drinks were never refilled and we had to go up and ask for a bill but got some attitude. I understand having a bad day but that was unacceptable and we won't be returning. read more

TLDR: Poor service, pricy, inaccurate wait times, and stingy chip portions. Food tasted okay, not very flavorful. Sadly our first visit here was disappointing. While driving through the area we ordered takeout online. Online ordering was quick and easy. It seemed pricy so I hoped the food was worth it. Our meal was estimated to be ready 25 min after placing the order. The restaurant was easy to locate and offered ample parking. When I arrived the restaurant seemed fairly empty. I walked over to the employee at the cash register near the front and she completely ignored me. Soon a different employee walked over to greet me. He was friendly and checked on my order right away. He said it would be ready in 2 minutes. It was actually ready 15 minutes after the estimated time. We were quite hungry at this time and did not check the order. Although we ordered 2 entrees and queso, one very small bag of chips was provided. We were shocked since typically Mexican restaurants provide more than enough chips. I ordered the camerones tropical without bacon. It didn't have bacon, but it was also missing the pineapple and had cheese on it. Surprising it was bland. The best part were the large chunks of vegetables. The portion was large, but not worth $22. Overall, we did not have a positive experience here. read more

I absolutely love Mi Ranch. The staff is wonderful, and they provide excellent service. I love that the provide karaoke on the weekends. My go to dish is always ACP. By far theirs is the absolutely best. I love that they add roasted vegetables to their chicken, they use plenty of cheese and the rice is amazing as well. Even when I order this to go and don't eat it until the next day it warms up great and the flavors are still amazing. A big shout out to Mi Rancho and their amazing staff and chefs!!! read more

I cannot complain about the food or service here. It's next to a not so great motel so I was concerned but the online reviews were good, so we decided why not. We ordered grilled steak tacos, a carnita plate, birria tacos and oddly enough, mozzarella sticks and everything was very very good. The tacos were flavorful and so filling. The mozzarella sticks were also so good! Only thing that fell flat was the fries but that's nothing to hold against them. We did have a little bit of a hard time ordering due to a language barrier but nothing was wrong- just needed to get creative. I would definitely go back if I lived in the area! read more

Friendly service and a comfortable booth way in the back of the restaurant. Chips were warm and firm. The salsa (a red and a green) was delicious. And then my carne asada was brought to my table. A tough and overcooked plate of sliced beef. Cooked somewhere beyond medium well, it was difficult to cut and to chew. Definitely not a great meal but it was the closest they do to keto friendly if you skip the rice and the beans. About the best thing I can say is that it was a big portion. We got the California burrito. It's pretty good. They just need to put the fried in the burrito and the rice and beans in the outside. Overall good read more

Fantastic Mexican food! We got the Mi Rancho Especial for 14 bucks and the Arroz Con Pollo for 12 bucks. The price is fair for the quantity you get. The serving size was huge and we had plenty of leftovers to box up and take home. The compilentary chips and green & red salsa were also great giving a good kick. The Mi Rancho Especial was a good sampler platter consisting of six of the most common items in Mexican cuisine: tamale, chile relleno, chalupa, taco, burrito, enchilada. I particularly loved the Arroz Con Pollo - succulent pieces of grilled chicken and veggies served over a bed rice and topped over with their delicious cheese sauce. It was oh so savory and flavorful. Overall, give this place a try if you're in the area and want some delicious Mexican food. read more

Mi Rancho - Pazole. Supposedly delicious according to my wife. - Mexican Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

The food was so bad I dumped it in the trash as soon as I tasted it. The nachos were drippy and the tortilla chips were soggy and not eatable. The tacos were dry and I threw those away. Waste of money read more

Food: 5 Entertainment: 0 (turn down the music, sheesh) Margaritas: 2 (where is the tequila!?) The carnitas are amazing, food never disappoints, but can we turn down the volume and turn up the tequila!?!? Margaritas taste like juice. read more

Stopped for a bite to eat while traveling. Staff was very friendly and quick service. Food was was very tasty and great portions as well. I also had a margarita, which was a huge glass and made well. I didn't care for Mi Rancho. Comparing it to its peers within a 15 minute drive, I would rank it last. All of the chicken I ate had a weird taste and texture, and was undesirable. I would probably give this one a pass and check out any other Mexican restaurant nearby. read more

I live nearby and have been to this place many times. I am finally doing a review today because I just had a really good chicken taco salad. Every thing was just right. Lots of chicken and it was perfectly distributed through the salad. They even give you a bag of chips and a little tub of salsa with your togo order! Sweet! I've had many different dishes here, the grilled chicken tacos are really tasty too. If you're in the mood for a big feed, get some fajitas! We have come here as a big family group, for small gatherings too. They are even tolerant of the "littles". The margaritas are definitely worth a try as well. So come on and get some tacos or fajitas or whatever else your heart desires. They have great menu options. read more

We love this place! We eat here once a week and never get tired of it. There's the typical favorites for gringos but there's an equally impressive number of traditional favorites. One personal favorite is the Chile Verde (pork tips in verde sauce) but be careful of the Chile Colorado version (red chili) because it's got a kick. I had the chicken soup yesterday and it was amazing. read more

This is not only my favorite Mexican restaurant, but my favorite restaurant overall! The food is very affordable and tastes better than anything I've ever had before. The bar is probably my favorite part. Aside from an aesthetic appeal, the drinks are huge and are so enjoyable! The service is fast and we never run out of chips or salsa. Highly recommend! read more

Oh. My. Gawd!!! I LOVE yelp! I go to places and order things based on reviews. I got the "POPEYE (poh-pi-yo po-yo)POLLO" based on another yelp recommendation. So freaking glad I did! I usually stay with my usual fajitas or taco salad but whoaza am I glad I vered! First of all the dish is huge. I was planning on sharing with someone else which was plenty AND took some home! But the food...delish! You get 2 pieces of juicy grilled chicken smothered and covered with their queso and spinach sauce, refried beans, rice, salad (Mexican style), sour cream and quacamole. Everything from the chicken, to the rice was actually packed with flavor! Everything was excellent! The music was a tad too loud but the staff was attentive and the place was clean. Well worth the money and the visit!!! read more

Second visit... Tried the Mi Rancho Especial, because I wanted to try a little bit of everything. And, very disappointed with it. The ground beef was unseasoned, and the sauces were very mild. This dish is basically what you'd serve to someone who gets dragged to a Mexican restaurant by their friends. doesn't like spicy food, and doesn't know what they want. If that's you... Ok. Everything else we've tried here has been AMAZING. So they keep 4 stars (was 5), but in the future, I'll avoid anything that has ground beef. read more

Got some Tortas for lunch takeout. All of the ingredients were good and tasty except for the bread. It seemed like I was eating a torta on 2 slices of croutons. I couldn't believe how dry and stale the bread was. I ended up eating everything without the bread. Not recommended for almost $17. read more

This place is awesome! First, let's talk about those fishbowl margaritas. Those things are huge and delicious and they are not skimpy on the alcohol. Which is always a good thing when it comes to margaritas. Next, the menu options portion sizes here are ridiculous. There are pages and pages of different options for you to try and you will definitely leave full. It's literally two servings in one meal. I forgot the name of what I ordered but it had steak, chicken and shrimp, with veggies covered in cheese sauce....with rice and beans. There's no way to go wrong with anything covered in cheese sauce. I'm just saying.... Service is spot on - my glass was never empty, chips and salsa were refilled without request and the food arrived pipping hot. It just doesn't get much better. Hell yes... I'd come back. The very next time I'm in town! read more

So the low rating had me worried, but the food and service were good. This is a building that over the past ten years has been many restaurants as noted by other reviewers. The inside is nice and clean. The restroom was clean and well stocked. The food is standard Mexican American fare. What stood out for me was the ability to handle our large group and the salsa. They provided both red and green salsa. The salsa verde really stood out. The barrier that kept this from being five stars is that of language. Our waitress was primarily Spanish speaking and we were primarily English speaking. So, this led to some creative gesturing and mistaken orders. However, despite this a good time was had by all. read more

I had heard how great the food was here. My son and his college roommates spoke very highly of it. Today I had time to try it, the service was on par and the food looked delicious. Only problem was that I ordered my meal without mushrooms and you guessed it, they served it to me mushrooms and all. So I politely reminded the waitress that I ordered it without, she took it and apologized. Now, are you ready for this. They took my food back to the kitchen and picked out the mushrooms and and poured an insane amount of cheese on top of it to cover up where the mushrooms were. I quickly noticed a few mushrooms that they missed, how disgusting was that! read more

We've enjoyed dinner at Mi Rancho on several occasions over the past two years, primarily on weekends. This is some of the best Mexican cuisine in the Raleigh area. While others have mentioned lacking service, our experiences have always been outstanding with all waiters and waitresses. The fajitas, tacos, El Cazuelon, and molcajete are terrific, and you won't find a better Michelada (beer + Sangrita in a tall mug rimmed with chili salt) in town! Give it a try! read more

A lot of things are wrong in this place, first the cleanliness was HORRIBLE and way too loud and the waitress didn't even hear my family's order correctly. My daughter ordered chicken tenders and fries, but the chicken was COLD AND UNCOOKED. My other daughter ordered cheeseburger with fries and she FOUND SEVERAL BONES IN THE MEAT. Another thing after 8:00 pm it isn't even a restaurant anymore, it's more like a BAR, and not appropriate for kids, the chips were also VERY VERY STALE. Just a warning DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!! read more

We had a nice experience at Mi Rancho. The food was excellent. The carnitas are probably the best I've ever had! Large portions and a good price. We were there on a Saturday night. I was looking for a place with tableside guacamole. I found them and hadn't tried them since they changed names, so I gave it a try. We arrived shortly after 5 pm. We were literally the only patrons there. I started wondering what was wrong with the place but decided to give it a shot. The outside is not very appealing, but once you get inside it's nice. There is ceramic tile flooring throughout and new tables. There was even a nice meeting room. There could be attention given to the televisions. The dish hookup and all the wires are exposed and a little tacky. The server was very attentive and took our orders quickly. We were given both red and green salsa, which I appreciated, being one that prefers things a notch spicier. The guacamole was okay but not as good as I'm used to from some of the other local places. I ordered the chili rellenos, which seems to be a dish I can't get more than one restaurant to perfect. Unfortunately it is not this one. This dish was plated fine and looked edible enough. The chilis were actually cooked fine. But it was covered in a tomato sauce that tasted canned and lacked any flavor. Nothing to love or hate here. read more

Went at lunch time with a great groupon offer with family. If it had not been such a cheap bill, I would have asked for a refund. Can I get some Mexican food with my salt? Seriously, the beans, taco meat, and enchilada sauce had way too much salt. I asked the others in the party was their food too salty as well, they confirmed it was loaded down. The guitar player was cool, chill environment and had the potential to be a good place. That's if you get rid of Chef de sal in the back and dial your food in correctly. read more
