    Mi Rancho in Raleigh NC

Friendly service and a comfortable booth way in the back of the restaurant. Chips were warm and firm. The salsa (a red and a green) was delicious. And then my carne asada was brought to my table. A tough and overcooked plate of sliced beef. Cooked somewhere beyond medium well, it was difficult to cut and to chew. Definitely not a great meal but it was the closest they do to keto friendly if you skip the rice and the beans. About the best thing I can say is that it was a big portion. Fantastic Mexican food! We got the Mi Rancho Especial for 14 bucks and the Arroz Con Pollo for 12 bucks. The price is fair for the quantity you get. The serving size was huge and we had plenty of leftovers to box up and take home. The compilentary chips and green & red salsa were also great giving a good kick. The Mi Rancho Especial was a good sampler platter consisting of six of the most common items in Mexican cuisine: tamale, chile relleno, chalupa, taco, burrito, enchilada. I particularly loved the Arroz Con Pollo - succulent pieces of grilled chicken and veggies served over a bed rice and topped over with their delicious cheese sauce. It was oh so savory and flavorful. Overall, give this place a try if you're in the area and want some delicious Mexican food.

Pazole. Supposedly delicious according to my wife.

Stopped for a bite to eat while traveling. Staff was very friendly and quick service. Food was was very tasty and great portions as well. I also had a margarita, which was a huge glass and made well. I would also like to throw in that the restaurant was very clean and inviting. I would say that this restaurant is a top notch Mexican place. A good to on my next trip! Make is yours as well!

We love this place! We eat here once a week and never get tired of it. There's the typical favorites for gringos but there's an equally impressive number of traditional favorites. One personal favorite is the Chile Verde (pork tips in verde sauce) but be careful of the Chile Colorado version (red chili) because it's got a kick. I had the chicken soup yesterday and it was amazing.

Don't judge the place from the outside! The food was amazing! Super authentic and delicious! I came for dinner and it was most definitely worth it. Customer service was great! Our server checked up on us. I came about this place because of a Groupon. I was not disappointed by the food quality!

It never came. After waiting, we had to flag down a server walking by, who eventually brought one--only for it to be broken. It then took another 10 minutes before we finally got a functional highchair. Throughout the visit, the staff seemed far more interested in talking amongst themselves than actually paying attention to guests. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. The worst part came after we left. I realized almost immediately that I had left my wallet behind and called right away. Instead of any sense of urgency or willingness to help, the host who answered was incredibly rude and dismissive. Before I could fully explain the situation, she cut me off and told me to "call back tomorrow." When I tried to quickly describe the wallet--color, contents, anything that might help--she hung up on me mid-sentence. Considering I called almost immediately after leaving and was brushed off so quickly, it raises serious concerns about whether any real effort was made to locate it. I would hope any establishment would take something like that seriously. Between the lack of attention, the disorganization, and the way a simple, time-sensitive situation was handled, this place clearly has serious issues with customer service. I won't be back.

When you arrive there is parking in front of the restaurant as it's located in a shopping plaza. When you walk in you'll feel like you've been transported to a trendy, energetic, and coastal beach restaurant. There are also TVs at the bar if you are looking to watch sports. We checked in with the host and opted for a table. To start we ordered the queso (Smoky queso, pico de gallo, fresh cilantro) and added the smoky chorizo. The queso was very good and had a great smoky flavor with a little spice. You'll want to order an appetizer as chips are not complimentary. For drinks my partner ordered the strawberry mojito (Bacardi limon, mint, lime, soda, strawberry) which was good and on the sweeter side. I ordered the Desert Fire (Jalapeño infused lunazul, triple sec, chipotle simple syrup, lime, spicy rim) which was on the spicier side but was so good. For mains my partner ordered the Mahi Wrap (Blackened mahi, napa-romaine mix, fresh avocado, honey chipotle sauce, Caribbean salsa, grilled flour tortilla with seasoned fries) which had a nice balance of flavors. The fish was a bit overcooked but the seasoned fries and flavors made up for the dry fish. I ordered the surf & turf burrito (Grilled shrimp, marinated steak, queso rice, grilled onions, pico de gallo, queso fresco, baja crema, topped with habanero onions & arugula, cilantro served with black beans) topped with the tomato cream sauce. The sauce had a nice smoky flavor and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. As for the steak, kind of the same issue as the fish where it was overcooked/cooked well done. For dessert we ordered the Sugar churros (Whipped cream, caramel dipping sauce) which were served piping hot and they go perfectly with the dip. We ended up stirring the whipped cream and the caramel sauce together. I definitely would stop by salt & lime cabo grill for mexican food but would opt for just shrimp as the main meat vs mahi or steak. Looking forward to my next visit to salt & lime.
