Mi Rancho in Raleigh NC
Bruce K.

Friendly service and a comfortable booth way in the back of the restaurant. Chips were warm and firm. The salsa (a red and a green) was delicious. And then my carne asada was brought to my table. A tough and overcooked plate of sliced beef. Cooked somewhere beyond medium well, it was difficult to cut and to chew. Definitely not a great meal but it was the closest they do to keto friendly if you skip the rice and the beans. About the best thing I can say is that it was a big portion. Arroz con pollo

Fantastic Mexican food! We got the Mi Rancho Especial for 14 bucks and the Arroz Con Pollo for 12 bucks. The price is fair for the quantity you get. The serving size was huge and we had plenty of leftovers to box up and take home. The compilentary chips and green & red salsa were also great giving a good kick. The Mi Rancho Especial was a good sampler platter consisting of six of the most common items in Mexican cuisine: tamale, chile relleno, chalupa, taco, burrito, enchilada. I particularly loved the Arroz Con Pollo - succulent pieces of grilled chicken and veggies served over a bed rice and topped over with their delicious cheese sauce. It was oh so savory and flavorful. Overall, give this place a try if you're in the area and want some delicious Mexican food.

Pazole. Supposedly delicious according to my wife.

Stopped for a bite to eat while traveling. Staff was very friendly and quick service. Food was was very tasty and great portions as well. I also had a margarita, which was a huge glass and made well. I would also like to throw in that the restaurant was very clean and inviting. I would say that this restaurant is a top notch Mexican place. A good to on my next trip! Make is yours as well!

We love this place! We eat here once a week and never get tired of it. There's the typical favorites for gringos but there's an equally impressive number of traditional favorites. One personal favorite is the Chile Verde (pork tips in verde sauce) but be careful of the Chile Colorado version (red chili) because it's got a kick. I had the chicken soup yesterday and it was amazing.

Don't judge the place from the outside! The food was amazing! Super authentic and delicious! I came for dinner and it was most definitely worth it. Customer service was great! Our server checked up on us. I came about this place because of a Groupon. I was not disappointed by the food quality!

It never came. After waiting, we had to flag down a server walking by, who eventually brought one--only for it to be broken. It then took another 10 minutes before we finally got a functional highchair. Throughout the visit, the staff seemed far more interested in talking amongst themselves than actually paying attention to guests. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. The worst part came after we left. I realized almost immediately that I had left my wallet behind and called right away. Instead of any sense of urgency or willingness to help, the host who answered was incredibly rude and dismissive. Before I could fully explain the situation, she cut me off and told me to "call back tomorrow." When I tried to quickly describe the wallet--color, contents, anything that might help--she hung up on me mid-sentence. Considering I called almost immediately after leaving and was brushed off so quickly, it raises serious concerns about whether any real effort was made to locate it. I would hope any establishment would take something like that seriously. Between the lack of attention, the disorganization, and the way a simple, time-sensitive situation was handled, this place clearly has serious issues with customer service. I won't be back.

When you arrive, there is plenty of parking around the building, and entrances in the front and on the right side. Once inside, you'll walk up to counter and place your order. Your then given a order number and it's open seating. Your number will be called out in Spanish when your food is ready and you'll pick it up at the counter. I ordered an al pastor taco which unfortunately was not good. It came out extremely cold and needed a lot of salsa for it to have any flavor. I also ordered a steak burrito which was much better and was served with melted cheese on the top. There were fatty pieces throughout the burrito but this was far better than the taco. Lastly, I ordered a horchata but it tasted like grainy and wasn't great. If I'm in the area again I may give this a try but I'd definitely stick with a burrito so your food is hot.

I saw this as an option today and liked how the quesadillas looked online. I'm pretty picky when it comes to quesadillas. I like the tortilla to be semi-crispy and everything to hold up inside with the cheese. Nothing fancy, just mixed cheese/grilled onions/chicken/butter/green peppers. The good on these quesadillas is that the flavoring of the chicken was spot on and the pico was fresh. The downside was everything else. Tortilla was soggy and everything in the quesadillas did not stay intact. The chicken was also shredded, which I didn't like. Peppers and onions were super limp. I'm giving a 3 because I wasn't at the actual restaurant and sometimes food consistency is off from in-house compared with to-go. I won't be ordering this as a to-go option again, though. Your experience may differ.
