Terrible delivery experience. I ordered a Burrito Jalisco and got instead a chicken burrito. Literally it was not only incorrect, but chicken burrito, if you can call it that, was a tortilla that had a ton of unseasoned chicken in it. It was terrible and I will never order from here again, unfortunately. My friend also ordered the a dish that has skirt steak and cactus. The cactus was missing entirely. Horrible. Scammers. Bland food and they cross contaminate veggie dishes with meat products. Did I say horrible ? I had a Groupon. The manager said it was dine in only. After I showed him the groupon pointing out it didn't say that anywhere, he said okay I will take it and hit "redeem" on my phone. Then he switched stories and said he can't take it because it's weekend only. UMMM but you hit "redeem" on my phone already and I lose the groupon! He said "okay I will give you 20 off" -mind you, I paid almost $30 for the groupon itself. How does that make any sense? After going back and forth multiple times I paid the bill but I will never go back. Still can't believe the manager was such a crook. Also, I told them to make sure they didn't cross contaminate my food with meat products and when I got home to eat my meal, there was 2 little pieces of beef in it. WTH. Just NO. Food and service were good. However, my sister has a health issue and can only eat small portions over a long period of time. She thought she ordered small side portions because she ordered was under 'sides', but ended up being charged $12 for a plate that resembled a full sized meal. My sister was so upset she was in tears and we ended up talking to the manager and she told him that she can't justify paying $12 when she can't eat something and the manger REFUSED to take it off! I'm sorry, but Ive personally worked in the food service industry for a very long time and that is in poor taste. If a customer has a health issue and cannot eat something or at least the huge ass amount of "sides" that has been put in front of you, you do what you can to make them happy! This was my first time coming to Mi Rancho since the name change. I was happy to see the menu has not changed too much. The services was pretty good, our waitress was very friendly as well as the rest of the staff we interacted with. If you are looking for a wide variety of pretty good Mexican food and good drink specials, this is your place. I had gone with a couple friends for a night out. We were excited about the $5.50 fishbowl margaritas. They were ok, but very heavy on the sour mix and I could not taste any alcohol (which I consider both a positive and a negative haha). I had ordered cheese dip for the table but unfortunately it never came, so I had to remind our waitress to take it off the check. For my meal I had arroz con pollo. It was a huge portion and it had a lot of good veggies in it! The chicken was slightly chewy on some pieces but I think it was just fat that had not been trimmed. This location has been through several incarnations of Mexican restaurants, this is at least the third and by far the worst. The interior has been opened up and has a much better look by removing the large section of booths in the center of the restaurant and replacing them with tables and just leaving booths along the wall. But the food was really awful. No one in our group except one liked the food enough to take leftovers and they were taking the leftovers to repurpose them for other things (guacamole, chilcken fajita meat, rice, etc). The red enchilada sauce was not homemade, seemed very canned and had a tomato-ey taste which most true enchilada sauce does not have, it's basically supposed to be a gravy made with dried chili powder. I have loved this place for years now. Good food and service until tonight. Guy at register was super-nice to me two weeks ago when I ordered take-out even though I had to wait for a remake cause someone else "allegedly" took my order. Last week when I ordered they asked my name. Everything was good. I asked for spicy salsa and got it (really good stuff). This place was my go-to for take-out during Covid-19 because I'm so close in proximity and because it's so good. Tonight, the same guy wasn't nice at all to me. They said "ten minutes" on order and I gave them 15 min. When I got there, had to wait again for my order. No excuses this time. I caught the feeling like this guy could give two flying f's about me even though he was cool to me last visits. He said two minutes so I went outside for 5 minutes. I came back in and waited for another 5 minutes. He handed my bag of food like I was a pestering vagrant. He immediately walked away. I awaited for his returned attention. A whole minute later after I was again acknowledged, I asked for "spicy red salsa". He said it was in my bag but when I got home the only salsa was boring chip salsa. Having had this recent experience, I'm now saying adios to Mi Rancho. Won't be back. Damn shame because the food is good. This guy just rubbed me wrong tonight. read more

My whole family and I had been coming to this place for years before the name change but after today that will change! My husband ordered a Mar y Tierra and there was a hair in his steak. We told our waiter about this and they brought back another plate. All would've been fine but they brought back the same steak! Reason we knew was bc my husband could tell the only place where he cut it. They literally just flipped the steak and brought it back out with new rice and beans. We asked to speak to the owner. He then proceeded to imply we had put a hair in it because the hair was long and nobody in the kitchen had long hair. That was not the case as I wasn't even sitting next to my husband!! Also we came in right before they closed and they stayed open to serve us, which I loved! The chips and salsa were nice and spices and warm! My friend got the tacos and they were really authentic. He gave me a gift certificate to come back. I came back with the certificate and a $5 off $20 purchase coupon, spent $25 on food, and he refused the coupon saying he had never seen it. Food is good, it is a big open restaurant which is a plus but service lacks. I visited this location on two occasions. The first time was about an hour until they closed & the second for take out. I figured service lacked the first time because it was near closing (I worked at a restaurant so I know exactly how they feel when people come in near closing). There was miscommunication between me and my server & she got quickly upset even though it was simply just a miscommunication and I wasn't upset, I just wanted it fixed. I figured I'd give it a second try at a time that wasn't near closing. When I came for take out (and also my first visit) I made eye contact with employees without acknowledgement until someone helped me. Slow to come greet and help you out. Today was my first day at this restaurant. My family and I were looking around for New Mexican food to try and we decided to stop at Mi Rancho. Decorations were good, I would say it was a presentable restaurant. We walk in and people greeted us nicely and it all fell down to we sat our table with no chips no waiter for a good 5-10 minutes and other tables were coming in and got their chips right away. I'd give it a minus 3 for slow service. We left the restaurant so we didn't try the food but I'll give it two stars since we didn't give it quit a good try. read more

Ok, this place is sketchy...right next to a pawn shop and Super 8 motel. Two friends and I walked in at 6:00 on a Wednesday and the place was dead. We had a group of 15 come in for my friends birthday. The food was good. However, the drinks tasted watered down and you couldn't taste alcohol, to the point where multiple people in our party asked if there was alcohol even in it. We were ready to go a little after 8:30. Took forever to get our checks from our waitress. She literally went back through and asked everyone again what we had and drank instead of writing it down in the first place. Then we were waiting even longer until after 9:30 to get the receipts and change back. We waited 40-50 minutes just on our checks, which was ridiculous. They also added in gratuity since we had a large party which sucked because the service sucked and they didn't even deserve that. She might've been new or something, but if that's the case, they should have given us two servers and just organized it way better. We got there at 7 and didn't leave until after 9:35. One other person went up and inquired about our checks as well. I walked up complained and just wanted the change back for my order so me and my partner could leave and she said one moment and didn't do anything until her manager walked up asking if everything was ok. Just overall disappointing besides the food. And the bill was suspicious. My entree was 7.99, and $13 for my partners. Got one margarita at 7.50 and he got 2 imports for $5 total. Yet our bill came out to $50.52. You do the math. Even with gratuity added, should not have come out to $50. Overall service ruined the night and a lot of people in our parties didn't understand why they were charged so much even with gratuity added. Wouldn't recommend going here. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I ordered the Mi Rancho Especial, which was almost inedible. When we were finished eating, our waitress was nowhere to be found, and we waited fifteen minutes for her to come take our plates away. Three other servers walked by us during this time, and not one stopped to check on us. We had to flag someone down to ask for our check. When our waitress finally appeared again, we gave her our Groupon and she said we could not use it because we had ordered a margarita with our meal. We explained that the Groupon rules stated the amount could not be applied towards the drink, which we understood, but our meals still still exceeded the minimum purchase amount. We suggested that she put the margarita on a separate check, if that would be helpful. She told us "it doesn't matter - you can't use the Groupon because you bought a margarita!" We asked her to check with the manager, which she did, and he was able to apply the Groupon just fine. We wanted to pay the remainder of the bill with a credit card, but, again, the waitress disappeared and never came back. After another ten minutes of waiting and being ignored by the other servers, we put cash in the book and left. Not only is the food sub-par, but the service is one of the worst I have ever encountered. read more
