Was my top favorite but same error to many times. And this last time was it. My husband often orders in the restaurant and wait for my food and they always leave the flour tortillas out every time when I order fajitas . I mean that a main ingredient when eating fajitas. Once again I called spoke to the manager and due to his accent couldn't understand him and he seems frustrated and he was rude. Although he did fulfill my request of remaking my meat since it was now going to be cold. He never apologized for the inconvenience and just hung the phone up. When my husband got there and received the food his attitude was nasty and instead of handing him the queso he just tossed it on the counter. Run, don't walk, and get the shrimp dinner quesadilla!! Oh, it's a thing of beauty with it's perfectly cooked shrimp and mushrooms and just the right amount of cheese. I love it. The staff here is fantastic, sweet and kind. I enjoy their salsa but not the white stuff they bring with it as I'm not even sure what that is. Their drinks aren't weak, either. The complimentary nachos, salsa, and dip are always a great start to your experience here. I've been here twice now and always get the cheese dip and quesobirria. It never disappoints. Stopped by for lunch and we were seated right away. Shortly after our waiter took our drink orders and we were brought a basket of tortilla chips and some salsa to munch on while we decided what to eat. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had a good amount of lunch specials. I decided on the fajitas with grilled steak. The steak came out sizzling and was accompanied with green peppers, onions, and tomatoes. They definitely didn't skimp on the meat, especially for a lunch portion. The steak was tender, but could have had more flavor to it. The rice and beans were standard. I like how guacamole and sour cream also came with the dish. If you want some heat, definitely try the habanero hot sauce on the table (1 green and 1 red). You won't be disappointed! With my meal I had a glass of red sangria, which wasn't bad. If tequila was my friend, I probably would have went with a margarita, though. I also tried some of the taco platter, which was huge! It comes with 6 tacos. They stated they were mini, so I expected street tacos. These were 6 regular tacos (carnitas, chicken, steak, chorizo, pastor, and fish) packed with mean! If you are hungry, this is definitely the dish for you! Note that if you order a large beer, your beer will come in a stein. Be prepared, especially if you order one for lunch! Service was good from beginning to end, with our waiter making sure our glasses were never empty. If you are craving Tex-Mex, Fiesta Mexicana is an okay place to get the job done. read more

My boyfriend and I love this new location! We often frequent the location at 40/42, but this one is just as awesome and closer to home. The decor is modern, seating is comfortable; tables are very clean and there's a large space designated for outdoor dining too. Once you are seated, the waitstaff will bring you warm tortilla chips, a bowl of salsa and a dish of crema. We love to mix the salsa and crema together (it's delicious). We almost always order margaritas too. The Texas and frozen margaritas are yummy and fair with the alcohol pours. We have never been disappointed with our entrees. The food is well-seasoned with just enough spice, and the portions are generous. The waitstaff are all very friendly and accommodating too. read more

This place is alright if you're looking for a quick fix for Mexican food. It is loud! So if you're looking for a quiet night out, this is not it. It does have an outdoor patio area that may have been a little quieter but we were sat inside. A majority of the dishes are pretty bland and not at all what I'd consider authentic. That being said, it may be catering to their clientele of the area that like a little bit more Americanized Mexican food but who knows. We started out with just the complimentary chips and salsa then decided to add some queso, each of us ordered a beer - after having asked for 3 different ones they had on their menu and each time our server coming back to say they were out, I just asked her to bring me whatever the closest bottle in the fridge was, laughed, and shrugged it off. I ordered the fish tacos, they were tilapia that had zero seasoning and were then drenched in this avocado-esq sauce. I had asked for the tacos to have no avocado as I'm allergic, soo the sauce wasn't a hit with me obviously. My fiancé got the enchilada and said it was fine, also drenched in a red sauce. This place is close to us so I wish it had been a better experience but you can't win them all. Sometimes they are awesome and you couldn't ask for better. Other times they are just average. I was so happy to see another very-much-needed restaurant ootion for the I-40/Hwy 210 area when construction began, and thrilled to find out it was going to be a new Fiesta Mexicana site!! My husband are a native Texans, and Fiesta Mexicana is home cookin' for us. We love eating at their other stores, and this one definitely does not disappoint. Their food is always hot and flavorful, and they have never botched a take-out order or given us food that was cold and "leftovery" when we got it home. Prices are very reasonable and you get a generous-sized portion. Their fresh guacamole is to die for! It's made-to-order right at your table (or to your specs for takeout), with fresh avocados, tomatoes, garlic and onion. Even the jalapenos had that just-picked crunch (no pickled, jarred up stuff here) Last night my roommate tried the shrimp fajitas for the first time and shared a taste with me. They were better than the ones a more-expensive five-star San Antonio chef cooked for us the last time I was there. The aroma alone will make you pack on pounds. I had tamales and chicken enchiladas last night, and the chicken was juicy and tender - not stringy as chickie enchies often are. The cheese was perfectly melted into the richly-seasoned, meaty tamales. They were delicious. The refried beans were thick and flavorful, not greasy or watery, and the rice was just right. Customer service is excellent. The staff is alwayps friendly and the restaurant is clean and gives off the cheerful, warm Southwestern ambiance one expects south of the border. The waitstaff is kind and indulgent if you want to practice your high school Spanish. If you like to dine outside, there's a pleasant little patio. This store delivers on Fiesta Mexicana's regular diner's expectations. You don't have to drive to Benson or 42 anymore, and if you haven't eaten at one of their other stores, check them out, The food is great. Ole'! read more

This restaurant on clear violation of Visa rules charges a usage fee for using a debit card, which is totally illegal. I called them on it twice. They not only would not remove it but tried to say I was making a big deal out of nothing. They are taking my money for a service fee on a debit card but it's no big deal. They just took $2 more dollars of my money for nothing. I won't be back and have been a customer for years of this site and route 42 location. Unfair business practices. Visa may be paying you a visit. It's $5000 fine for charging service charge on a debit card. Look it up. read more

I ordered a take out dish which delightedy included zuchini. At first taste, I thought I had discovered my favorite dish. However, I was soon stricken with momentary horror when I bit into a morsel of something having an unpleasantly tough, odd feeling rind. I first thought some plastic debris or worse, a roach, must be in my dish. Upon further inspection, I verified that all of the considerable quantity of zuchini I spent several minutes fishing out had the same odd, possible freeze dried and improperly reconstituted, unnatural feel. Unfortunately, there were only 4 pieces of green pepper and 12 pieces of onion so more than half of of my vegetable portion had to be discarded. I was further unable to enjoy my meal for fear of a reprisal if I had somehow missed a zuchini smothered in the delicious sauce. I had to carefully assess every bite, and could not eat freely and enjoy the dinner conversation. Perhaps FM could replace the zuchini with a more respectable portion of green pepper. read more

We went on a Friday night at 7pm. We got fast seating due to no one waiting wanting the outside. The girl on the phone had a slight annoyed tone when I called and asked how long the wait was. "Sir, I don't know how many you have in your party so I can't tell you how long". Bad customer service from the start. Our server was excellent. He was well mannered and made sure everything was good. My husbands dinner looked and tasted great! He got the chicken enchiladas and quesadilla. Both were great tasting. Unfortunately, the fish tacos were not good. My dog could make a better tasting one. I got two fried and one grilled. Both versions were lacking flavor and the fried looked like a dried piece of tofu. This is our usual go to for local Mexican food, usually ordering to pick up more than eating. Out of the dozen or so times we have been only had an issue once. Went in about an hour before closing and I had ordered a Pick 3. All were barely warm, but the taco was simply cold. Fiancé mentioned it and they took it off. My first impression when coming to Fiesta Mexicana were low to start, after 2 bad experiences already. The quality is disdainfully visible, dry rice and what tasted like canned beans. Then ordering an AC Tejano, and not getting the chicken, steak and shrimp as advertised. You get what only looks like ground beef slapped on a grill, with a squirt of cheese and what ever they could scrape off of the bottom of pot for rice. Ate there tonight for the first time in a while after two terrible take out experiences (things missing, salad dumped on top of hot food, which obviously was no longer hot). Food was excellent tonight. My husband ordered rice instead of beans (he can't eat them). We were charged $1.00 for " extra rice". Funny, I ordered my entrée without rice and tortillas, so we got less food, not more. I asked about the charge, and she went to speak to someone.
