Oh how I love! I'm a taco salad chic lol and today was a taco salad day! So it goes without saying what I ordered My son also got his favorite as well. We were seated and not long after hot chips and salad came (yassss!) The chips was nice and crunchy coupled with the salsa was on par! The waiter was very attentive and always coming back to check if we needed anything. Our food came out plated very attractively which got my taste buds excited! I was rather large so I couldn't eat it all, but it was very good. My son and I had no complaints here everything was perfect! This just opened in Angier so we gave it a try. It is a smaller restaurant but there's an enclosed patio area too, so there is a good chance of getting seated. We went for lunch so we didn't try many things, but what we ordered was excellent. I am looking forward to going back and getting the guacamole made at our table. I had the shrimp and garlic sauce (I forgot the name on the menu, but it was delicious and well prepared), and my wife had chicken enchiladas. read more

The water was delicious! From there it was a steady decline with the entree as the coup de grâce. The salsa was probably a few hours away from fermentation which had it gotten me intoxicated may have made what was to come more palatable. We ordered some queso that more akin to spicy milk in both consistency and taste. We ordered a Tropical Shrimp Salad and a taco salad. You know that saying if you don't expect too much you won't be disappointed? Boy can Mi Casita push that statement as after the salsa and queso we really weren't expecting much. I've attached the taco salad pic, honestly it tasted exactly how it looked. Like some gruel from the Middle Ages. The server was cordial and refilled our drinks(thank god as I needed something to wash that awful taste from my mouth). It gets two stars as the refried beans were good and the shrimp I pulled from the shredded ice berg lettuce were edible. Literally the salad had 6 or 7 extremely small pieces of mango and nothing else besides the shrimp. I guess the mango bits make it Tropical? No pick, no tomatoes, no cilantro? It's a convenient spot, but we won't be back and imagine to serve food this bad it must be a front for illegal activity. Went there tonight. We each got a drink and dinner. After they dropped our food off they never came back to check in on us. Our drink were empty and we each would have ordered a 2nd margarita to go with the rest of our meal. They lost out on some money and some returning customers. read more

Don't order the family platter. It's disgusting. Rice, beans , burritos on placed on the same platter which makes everything mix together. Tacos were also mushy. It should be called the chip platter because the amount of chips they give is overload. Almost 50 bucks on chips and slob. read more

I ordered the chile relleno. I got ground meat and cheese sauce, with a quarter-sized piece of chile swimming in it. Pretty much sums things up. I've had better Mexican food from an El Charito frozen dinner. And the service was lousy, too. read more

It's okay, it used to be absolutely amazing food and service but ever since the new cook started they went down hill on everything.

My wife and I were quite happy with Mi Casita. The food is typical American Mexican food but dishes were tasty and service was top notch. The Salsa has a nice kick and is more of a puree, so you may not like it if you like chunky salsa. The guacamole has whipped consistency with makes it different and good. Their Chile Rellenos were awesome - if you order it, be sure to either order extra chips or save some from what they bring initially because you will want to be scooping up that tasty cheese! read more

We have eaten at this restaurant several times. However, today, Sept 3, 2017, I ordered the lunch Faitas. My chicken & steak both had grissel, my steak was tuff & I thought it tasted funny. I could not eat my food. I called for the manager & he was very nice & took my meal off the tab. We appreciated it. We will return to MiCasita, but I will never order faitas here again.
