All of the food was amazing! We had the steak, chicken and shrimp quesidilla, steak tacos a kids meal. The shrimp were huge! Flavor, flavor and more flavor. Prices are good. Oh, the ceviche, may have been some of the best that I have ever had! 10 stars on the ceviche! 1 and only 1 complaint and I hope they see this and make a small correction to the way they package food for delivery. The pork rinds were delivered warm, a sign that they were made fresh! The problem was they packed them in an aluminum pan with a plastic top and the should be crunchy crispy fried delight was soggy and inedible! Everything else was fantastic! Other servers help each other out which was great to see. Food: the complimentary chips arranged unique and it was good. Salsa dip and queso dip ordered was, sorry but mediocre at best. We have tried carne asada plate which comes with thin rib eye, Mexican rice, refried beans and elote (corn on the cob), arranged uniquely. Again the taste of carne asada along with other condiments were not impressive. Chicken enchiladas plate with red sauce was alright. Chicken was tough, taste was somewhat dull compared to other traditional restaurants comparably. In total, I would give 3.5 stars. We had family in town and we had a craving for Mexican! Newer spot that came around 7 months ago, but our first time eating here. The food was delicious and there was something for everyone! Server was polite but more reserved and neutral. He did check in on us often and made sure our drinks were refilled and that we were happy! Do not sleep on this restaurant if you like Mexican food. I didn't know mole could have such a balanced taste. It lingered and made the Mexican Burrito that much better. I just realized that the sauces on the Mexican burrito match the flag colors: a punchy green sauce, a light cheese sauce, and of course the mole each given 1/3 of the burrito. The server told me that mole from Oaxaca tends to be the darker spicier kind I know, but there is also an orange kind that is sweeter. They knew the menu inside and out and popped in as needed. The music that was playing was cheery instrumental music. I didn't recognize it but it was fun and there was a gentle light show on the walls. I took dessert to go and it sits waiting for space in my stomach. Sadly just visiting but I will be back to try a few other things on the menu. read more

I got the mixed fajitas, i do not know how anyone can eat them in public because you have to spit every bite of it out considering it's all grizzle. There's no cheese, no salsa. For that price, extremely low-grade meat, disgusting. I got the cheese dip with the chips. The cheese dip is so small. It's a condiment portion and it's supposed to be an appetizer for eight dollars. We came for an early dinner and to 'taste test' this restaurant for the first time. Very happy to report a very positive review. We started with very generous Margaritas - which set a lively mood to match the even more lively decor! So not a low light, soft music venue. So, not sure how this place currently has a 5-star rating from the previous 9 reviews. My wife and I stopped in tonight. Weird blue tint to the light inside, and looking up at the lights, all the ceiling lights have pieces of blue painter's tape on them, some of the pieces peeling off. Ok, moving on. The complimentary salsa shows up, in a small stone bowl and 3 round fried chips for my wife and I to share. Weird. Where's the regular chips that literally every other Mexican-food place provides? Next we order the guacamole. It shows up with the regular chips missing from the salsa presentation. And it's salty. WTF? Salty guacamole. Yuck. My wife orders a cocktail, it tastes horrible. Some weird sweetener in it, she passes it to me, I take a few sips out of it and leave the rest behind. My drink I gave to my wife since it was way too boozy (Old fashioned), and I thought I'd like her sweeter drink more. Nope, we both barely touched the drinks, there's almost $30 down the drain. Our main meals show up while we're still half way through the guacamole/chips app. Pet peeve: a restaurant should never bring the entrees out while the customer is still eating the appetizers. It makes the customer feel rushed and sometimes there's literally not enough room on the table for all the plates. Ma fajitas were decent enough. I just didn't like that the sour cream was drizzled over a large amount of shredded lettuce, instead of having a nice glob of it somewhere on the plate for me to pick from as I wish. Ended up not enjoying almost any of the sour cream since I didn't care for the lettuce, it was mushy. Meanwhile, nobody came to check on us to see how everything tastes or how we like our drinks or anything. When you have customers barely touching their drinks, you'd think a good server/bartender would ask about that and maybe offer to remake or modify the drinks. Nope, nothing like that here, nobody cared. We spent almost $80 plus tip and we feel like we threw that money away. One last thing: the bottom of the receipt says they charge a 3.5% fee for using a credit card. The actual surcharge was 3.75% and really, in today's society where almost nobody carries cash, just build that into your prices, don't make me feel punished for using a credit card. read more

I found Q Chingon on Yelp a few weeks ago and have been going back every week since to try new dishes. They have some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. So far I have tried the burritos, nachos and tacos and all of them have been top notch! I also like their spin on appetizer tostada chips, 3 large tostadas with a very tasty salsa. Since I am a spicy food lover, I also order the two additional spicier salsas that they offer, they are very flavorful as well, not just heat! The service is also outstanding, I believe my waitress was named Ana, she is super friendly and helpful when I asked for suggestions on what I might like on the menu. The ambiance is also nice in my opinion with tv's playing sports and up beat music playing from the sound system. This is my new go to restaurant in Clayton! read more

Not a fan of the moving lights in the evenings. The music just a little load for my taste,. BUT... Here is the important part. The food is Amazing!!! Seriously the hands down best Mexican food I have ever tasted. The presentation was beautiful.! The serving size was generous enough that I have food left to take home. A reasonable size wine pour. Price is fair for the quality of the meal. Tableware and silverware is solid with weight allowing for a really nice presentation. Staff attentive and friendly. My advice is go now. The food is delicious and came out pretty quickly. I had the flautas, my daughter had the steak quesadilla, and my husband had the tacos garibaldi. Steak and pork were tender and flavorful. Tried placing a to-go order by phone twice--no answer either time. Ended up ordering directly through their website, received a confirmation email, and was charged immediately with a 20-minute pickup estimate. When I arrived, they said they never received the order, even though payment had already gone through. They offered to make the food on the spot, which took another 20 minutes, but did not offer a discount, or make any effort to make things right. To top it off, when the food was finally ready, an employee asked if I had even paid for it. Overall, a really disappointing experience marked by poor communication and zero accountability.
