We stopped here for breakfast after doing some early morning volunteer work for a children's Easter egg hunt. We got a chicken biscuit with home fries and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich (toast) with orange juice. It was very tasty and the wait staff was very friendly. It was very busy and the to go orders are taken at a walk up outside windows. Nice place to just get a good early breakfast if you have time to just relax. Because of the high reviews we thought we'd give Landmark a try. Our best experience was an employee named Angel. He delivered the food and cleaned the tables. Because we ordered our food, then had to wait for an available table, we chose to sit at the bar to reduce our wait. While there, we got to watch what was happening behind the lines. I can honestly say, I've never heard such negativity and insult spoken about the guests seated at tables and patrons in the order line, by the two cashiers. I was absolutely appalled! The only reason I gave this restaurant two stars was because of how sweet and respectful Angel was to us. We will not darken their door again. read more

It can't get more local than this. If you want a typical NC breakfast this is the place. You also have to like salt since the dishes are very salty. The biscuits are flat, traditional NC biscuits and they serve redeye gravy made with coffee that you can pour over grits. It is a tiny place were local go to for breakfast. As you walk in you see the large grill were all breakfast is cooked. Service was very nice and fast. The price is great as well. read more

you cannot sit down before ordering. go disabled or elderly people this may be a problem. I am disabled and was told I couldn't sit down. we told the woman that I couldn't stand for long and she walked away like she didnt care. I have worked in customer service and that is not how you treat a customer. when a customer says they can stand for long the appropriate response is to offer them an alternative seat or allow them to sit where they were previously. when I told another waitress about how the lady acted she was rude. ableism at its finest. read more

Food was ok-maybe would've been better had it not been served on styrofoam plates with plastic utensils. That's kind of a turn off as it's extremely wasteful and horrible for he environment. Here's what to expect on a Saturday morning: Once you walk in you will see a small restaurant that's very crowded. You'll have to stand in line to order and will be lucky if you get a place to sit. The line moves quickly so be sure you know what you want when it's your turn. We were lucky enough to get seats at the counter and we watched everyone prepare food for the guests. The kitchen is small and crowded and jammed with about 7 cooks and waitresses working as fast as they can in an undersized area It didn't look like the most clean kitchen, but their food inspection score was 100 when we went. Amazingly, they kept up with the flood of orders and got us our food fairly quick. Styrofoam plates and cups, but full of pretty good food. Everything tasted good and the coffee was good too. The biscuits were not tall and fluffy, but it wasn't a big deal. Good food at low prices, but you just have to face being in a cramped crowd. read more

Best breakfast in town! My friend that moved to Georgia makes it a priority to eat here when she's back in town! It is a very small restaurant and always packed (because it's so good!) so we usually get ours to go. It's a very fast paced atmosphere so if you don't know what you want to order just step off to the side and let someone else order until you've made up your mind. Most people that eat here have been for years so they know exactly what they want or are just paying for the order they called in and need to get in and out and on with their day. The owner Robbie is usually right there cooking and is very friendly. They use real eggs and good quality ingredients. Their biscuits are not traditional big fluffy biscuits, they're flat and dense. When I first saw them I kinda laughed and was skeptical but after actually eating one, they are my favorite! read more

Was visiting the area and stopped for breakfast. There was 6 adults. If you have never been there, you stand in lone to order yhenbwait for a table to empty. There was a large one opened just as we were ordering. They bring your food to you at the table. BUT!!!! They use only plastic utensils and foam plates. Tree huggers may have an issue there, not me! Food was brought out hot and was good in size. Only thing that made my head tilt us that their biscuits are flat. Great place and so worth the wait. read more

Best pancakes in the county! Excellent service; always friendly and fast. This is a local gathering spot. I love that their menu is simple, yet it includes all your southern specialties like biscuit-and-gravy, grits and fatback. Though the space is small, there's always somewhere to sit, like at the bar. I wish they'd never moved (as it's planned) because this is a "landmark" spot and it feels cozy like home. This restaurant is the lifeline of Jonesboro. I recommend it 100% read more

This place is SOOO yummy! My favorite place to take out-of-towners so they can experience a true southern breakfast! My friend introduced me to this place when I first moved to NC and we go quite frequently now. The biscuits are homemade and are flatter and crispier than normal biscuits. They are way better than anything you could get at a fast food restaurant. The country ham biscuits are the best and you have to try the grits with red-eye gravy (coffee and country ham drippin's). The place is always packed on a Saturday morning but it is worth the wait. The staff is friendly and moves fast! Closes at 11am I think and it is not open on Sunday. read more

Waitress was extremely rude to me. I went to sit at a table while my fiancé was ordering food for us. She screamed at me and said "You can't sit there until you've ordered!" I was so embarrassed. Despite the fact that the staff was sour and not friendly at all. The gravy was only heated out of a can and not even made from scratch and lacked the sausage that was suppose to be in it. It is a small town restaurant but really needs a little sprucing up on the decor. If you don't like to hear the F word constantly by one of the staff members as he is sitting conversing with locals, while you are eating then this is definitely not the place to go.
