We hit at lunchtime on a Friday, so there was a significant crowd and we waited 25-30 minutes to get our wraps to go. But the wraps ended up hitting the spot! I was in town for the day for work and yelped for vegetarian food and this place came up. It's a cute family owned cafe and they are very friendly. They have many different vegetarian options and I got the veggie wrap with red pepper hummus with fruit as my side and it was delicious. It is very small inside and they were busy during the lunch rush so if you plan to eat inside it could be full. I'm very thankful that I found this gem because I was afraid that I wasn't going to have any healthy options in Sanford. I definitely recommend coming here! read more

The space is too small to linger during the lunch rush because so many people are coming in, but service is fast and the food is delicious. There's a tip jar on the counter but not a place to write one in on a debit receipt. So, if you want to say an extra thank you to the staff you need to have a little cash with you. read more

I go to Fresh Choice every couple of weeks for lunch. They have a great variety of salads and sandwiches with daily soup, entree specials and random desserts and giant cookies. Two quirky and good-natured ladies run the joint, using very fresh ingredients and are quite friendly. Raspberry vinaigrette is my favorite of their dressings. They have a lovely Caesar salad with Rye bread croutons and during the summer they often have a chilled soup (eg: cantalope, vichyssoise). I devour their steak sandwich on flat bread! Also, they have a build your own sandwich option, which can come in handy. There are a number of choices for sides; my favorites being pasta or broccoli salad. They don't have a fryer, so sorry, no fries..we're trying to be (sort of) healthy here!! PS - If you're military, the drink is on them. read more

There are very few decent places to eat in Sanford and I think this place is one of them. Firstly I commend them for having a website that has their hours, menu, and even their daily specials. I cannot understand why any restaurant would not have their hours and menu online but most in Sanford do not. I think the food here is just ok, but for Sanford, it gets 4 stars. If you are looking for something vegetarian and/or somewhat healthy then this is one of the few places you can go. They have several vegetarian items on their menu. I got a veggie burger. I think it was probably a frozen veggie patty but they loaded it with a lot of fresh veggie toppings and honey mustard and it was on a good bun. I got a side of pasta salad with it and it was fine but a pretty small portion. My mom got the cranberry salad which was basically a chunk of jello. I wish they were open on the weekends. read more

Stopped in for lunch based on looking at the menu online. Pulled up and we were a little unsure if they were even open and what we would end up with. We were surprised once inside though. Super friendly staff, quick service and yummy food! My wife had the tuna melt with tomato soup and I had the turkey melt with the soup. Both sandwiches were great. Tuna was well mixed and not over powered with mayo, turkey sandwich was carved turkey maybe? No lunch meat on that one. Soup tasted homemade and we both left full and happy. Very scrumptious. The name says it all; your food it's freshly done but in a timely manner. It's a bit tight to eat in here but a nice feel. I love their quirky signs hung up on their wall, they give the place a special feel. Judy is funny and charming, she makes you feel like you know her from years. This place is definitely a local gem, it's unique. I always get the "special of the day", that way I get to try everything. Their loaded potato salad is out of this world, you must try it. Quick Fresh food in Sanford is a gem. Fresh Choice offers soups, salads, and sandwiches/wraps.. All homemade. The portabella wrap is terrific and loaded with fresh veggies. All sandwiches come with a side - which today were potatoe salad, pasta salad, broccoli salad, fruit, or soup. Your choices for soups vary everyday - but are unique to most restaurants, today was a creamy vege chicken soup which was great! The establishment is definitely run by local ladies and they seem to have a good clientele of regular lunch timers. Price was reasonable ($9 including tax, for chicken and portabella veggie wrap, soup, and a tea). Fresh Choice is a great choice for a quick lunch without the grease and preservatives of food chains! Very average boring food. I was hoping for some healthy yummy food, but was served a sandwich I could have just made at home. I ordered some turkey sandwich with a chipotle mayo and it was extremely average and I couldn't even taste the chipotle mayo. I also got a squash soup and the flavor was good even though it was really watery. My husband got a wrap and he said it was boring. I'd rather not eat healthy and get a chili dog from Scoops. read more
