Stopped here for breakfast when passing through town with my husband, son and son's girlfriend. It was busy on a Sunday morning but we were seated as soon as a table became available. I ordered the Mama's Garden Fresh omelette with hashbrowns. Delicious. Hashbrowns were cooked perfectly and omelette was stuffed with veggies. Diet Coke had just the perfect amount of carbonation and waitress was good about bringing refills. Husband ordered the Hungry Man breakfast and it was an impressive amount of food! Overall a great place for breakfast if you're in the area. read more

Food is amazing, hot, fresh, affordable and the service is next to none! Love the bible scriptures on the wall.

Food tastes very good, like my grandma used to make. I had the chickenfried steak. Large portions and service was nice. I really liked the Bible scriptures on the walls. read more

Food is bland, service needs improvement, and the other patrons are rude and inconsiderate. There is a Waffle House on the other side of Hwy 1 and they do a much better job. That says a lot. This place ought to be torn down. read more

Bacon was perfect on my burger. Waitress kept my tea full. In and out as fast as waiting in line at drive thru. read more

Everything back to normal, yummy good country cook'n. Chicken fried steak with white gravy is the best, pinto beans and stewed apples corn bread, my mouths watering. Ummm good. read more

Typical small-town diner and a better alternative to the Bojangles and Hardees across the road. My eggs were good and I thought the all-the-way hash browns were especially tasty, although I'm not sure they were worth the $2.95 up charge. My dining companion enjoyed her breakfast of french toast, liver mush, and a scrambled egg, but thought the liver mush was very over cooked. Our first server was very impatient and appeared visibly annoyed when we did not immediately know what we wanted to order. She passed us off to another server who took our order but forgot to refill our drinks when she started chatting up a regular customer. We flagged down a third server who got us refills. All in all, the service marred what would be a borderline 4-star breakfast. read more

Excellent food and friendly service. Really nice and relaxing ambiance. A really good local small town diner!

Old school dinner vibe and super great service. My brother joined us as we were done with our breakfast and our waitress was super helpful. Food was a solid FIVE .... Everything to perfection. It was a truly great dinner breakfast. I would absolutely eat here again when we are in the area. read more

Good diner experience . Nothing exceptional but adequate . Will have to try more dishes to form a real opinion.

Excellent service and good here this morning. My son ordered the chicken fried steak, hubs ordered the corned beef omelette and I ordered eggs and grits. The server was very friendly and kept our coffee full. The bathroom was very clean. This is a nice place to enjoy fresh food. read more

Great food and service. We always stop in for breakfast when we're in Sanford. Food always arrives quickly.

The people are friendly and never get your order wrong! And never judge your food choice

Delicious food! If diner food is your thing, I don't think there's a better place. Service is good. Great prices. Ambiance is typical diner. Knocking off one star because the bathroom is NASTY. Yes, it is due to disgusting patrons; however, the staff needs to periodically check and clean if needed. I am sure nobody wants to do it, but it needs to be done. One time I heard multiple customers complain about it to the waitresses and they couldn't care less..."not my job" attitude. To be honest, I wouldn't want my waitress cleaning a gross bathroom while waiting tables. Perhaps assign it to the busboy? read more

The food is delicious and the waitress are caring. The decor is simple and neat. I found out about this place from my mom.

Great food and atmosphere for the family and I! And it's right around the corner from my house!

After going to two different breakfast places that said they were open but we're closed when we arrived, we found this little gem! Fast service, delicious food! We had breakfast: grits, eggs, hash browns, bs and gs, sausage links. The sausage links didn't taste very good to me. Everything else was great. Friendly service too! read more

Great wait staff and good food. It's one of the few places I've never been disappointed at

Old school looking diner in Sanford. I had the western omelet, which was good. The service was kind and attentive. My friends had pancakes and waffles that they really liked. read more

Spotted this diner on Yelp while driving home from Raleigh. Tucked back in the corner behind a strip of stores you will find this little lovely place. It's not very updated but it's filled with locals and people that they know by name. That's the place I want to eat... every time! Staff was wonderful. Attentive and friendly was just a touch of how good they were. My daughter found the smallest scratch on her finger that had probably been there for days. She asked me for a bandaid and within a minute our waitress came over with a bandaids, she over heard! It was so sweet. I ate the crispy chicken ranch sandwich and was super happy with that choice. The chicken had that great crisp, kinda light but super tasty. Ahhh love. Ranch was on point and the fries.... the fries had that extra crispy touch without being well done. My kids ordered and the waitress was sure to tell me what to order instead so I got a better price deal. I see why there were so many regulars. Stop in if your driving through! read more

Had a quick lunch that was delicious. Recommend the Turkey Plate. Excellent gravy and stuffing. Wait staff serves in a team effort manner (several assisting and refilling drinks at tables other than their own, etc). Highly recommended! read more

I ordered the big Dave burger on Texas bread. I immediately thought something was wrong. They didn't ask how I wanted it cooked. And my fears were here. Medium rare on regular bread. Just falling apart. No Texas toast. Shame on you. Not going there again. read more

How does this please have 4 stars!!! Holy salt lick Batman... the only thing that was good as far as the dinner was the sweet tea and the sweet old lady serving! Collards cooked to oblivion, where did their potato salad recipe come from!? Beef tip literally tasted like Alpo dog food in the can smells! The fries taste like they were dipped and soaked in liquid salt!, The same goes for the fried pickles. This is the first place that me and my family have gone to where literally nothing was good as far as food. read more

I pass this diner on the way home and I never stop until today it was convenient I didn't have high expectations from looking at it. However I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and attentive. The place was clean and it was busy. I'm a nightmare when I order food with the special request. So I ordered Eggs Benedict and asked for my substitutions. They happily obliged me and the food was great! We will return with friends and family! read more

First time I had breakfast here service WAS friendly and food was good. However this time around service was terrible! (different staff than the first) they seemed very accommodating to the OTHER patrons but when it came to me I had to flag them down for everything (refill and missed food item). Not once did my server check on how my food came out. Not sure if being an Asian female had anything to do with it but I noticed the difference in treatment. One of the friendly African-American cooks, noticed I've been trying to get my server's attention as she continued to have lengthy conversations with other patrons. He finally had to ask someone else to help me. Very disappointed this time around!! read more

I like the sign whining about how you're a terrible employer and you think a $1200 stimulus two years ago is the reason no one wants to work for you. You should put up another sign about the nearly $300,000 in PPP loans that you got forgiven. You're just another whining conservative hypocrite taking free taxpayer money and complaining about others getting free stuff. https://projects.propublica.org/coronavirus/bailouts/search?q=tramway+diner&v=2 read more

Good food. Good service. Friendly ambiance. If you want down home southern cooking and a waitress that calls you hon or darlin, then this is your spot. My husband and I came here the day we bought a house in the neighborhood and I was so glad to have found a cozy spot for comfort food. The waitress helped explain some of the menu items that us Californians didn't recognize, made some recommendations and we were not disappointed. We have been back several times and will definitely be back again as it's our favorite breakfast place to hit on our way to anywhere. read more

Tramway Diner is posting an 80.5 or B Sanitation Score???? No thank you we left and won't be back.

I love this diner! Great home cooking with a very friendly wait staff. There are daily specials and the portions are generous.

Horrible Hostess. What is usually an enjoyable meal was Tainted due to the lack of professional work ethic. The manager on duty was very rude & verbally confronted me in front of other patrons while I stood in line waiting to be seated about a comment I made. They do not Allow customers to walk in & sit at Counter..as I heard one customer say he was alone and would sit at Counter & was told not allowed that he must Wait in Line... manager stated it was due to a shortage on Cooks. This is absurd. What if someone just wanted to come & sit having coffee? We definitely are sharing our experience with all our friends & family & business partners& especially Google Reviews to help patrons find a better Experience Elsewhere. read more

Deserve more stars than five. I have been to ihop, dennys, dozens of places and ordered eggs Benedict and the eggs come fully cooked. Well not at tramway diner. They make the egg runny. The way eggs Benedict are suppose to be. Staff is great and friendly. Order other stuff and that food was great too. Clean place. Keep up the great work. read more

A very friendly place to dine, but at times very busy. Good family style food. Reasonable prices.

This is my favorite restaurant. Everyone is very friendly to my family and are very accommodating to my son with special needs

I one our "go to" places for breakfast or lunch. Comfort foods and good service. Sort like your local diner.

Cute little diner. Stopped here for a burger and we're not disappointed. Pretty good for your standard diner.
