We had breakfast included with our overnight stay. Breakfast was great! Our server, Breion, was the best! read more

My son and I were hit with an unpleasant odor as soon as we walked through the front door-still not sure what the source of the stink was. It was a late Saturday morning and there weren't too many people there, but when we asked for a booth there wasn't one readily available because they hadn't been cleaned off yet. Moderate amount of trash on the floor, as well. Our food was pretty good, but our wait time was longer than it should have been; even the waitress said, "Finally," when she delivered our plates. Our waitress was pleasant throughout our time there, but another one, who moved at a slug's pace, looked like she'd rather be somewhere else. Our experience wasn't so bad that I wouldn't ever come back, but it won't be any time soon. read more

Great customer service, great food at an affordable. Servers and Manager are very friendly and attentive. I'll be coming back

The day I went, the service was slow due to staff shortage. Food was good though. I would go back.

No issues very good...they do seem to be regularly short staffed but overall the food is always really good

We initially stopped at the other breakfast restaurant which we will not name. Even though there were open tables we waited for 10/15 minutes and were the first in line to be seated. Then after waiting to take our drink order we decided to leave for Denny's. At Denny's, with a half full restaurant, we were second in line and seated immediately. Miss Jill took our drink orders promptly. She was very welcoming and great with our little one. Would recommend. read more

For the first time ever, my wife and I were traveling on the road and the motel at which we stayed had a Denny's for a restaurant. We ordered typical diner fare: burgers and fries, I had a hot coffee, and the wife had a soda pop. I had low expectations, but the food was pretty good quality, and the service was moderately attentive. A pleasant surprise. The place was clean and quiet, this was also a pleasant surprise. read more

The waitress, Tiffany was excellent. The food was great and arrived in a timely manner.Would gladly recommend to hungry travellers like my wife and I. read more

The service was terrible, we waited an 1hour long for our food and we still haven't been served, and there wasn't even that many people in the restaurant. read more

I came to this Denny's twice in one day because I stayed at the hotel and got a free voucher for breakfast. If I only came there for breakfast, I would've given 5 stars. My morning waitress was kind to my twin boys, they made a huge mess and she greeted us with a smile, took care of all our needs and made sure we got all the food on time. The waitress in the afternoon was a different story. She visibly frowned when we told her we had the partnership vouchers. Our food (which was just the grand slam with eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes) came nearly an hour after we ordered - an hour! When the food came to the table, the butter was fully melted onto the pancake as if it was sitting under the heat lamp, the hash browns were nearly burned and the pancakes were turned over onto the back because the tops were burned. I couldn't believe it was such a disappointment. read more

Had never seen this place on many trips through lumberton. Located in a holiday inn. Nice menu and great prices. Good service. And breakfast anytime. read more

Poorly cooked steak. So far the worst ribeye steak I had in a restaurant. The steak felt old and was room temperature when delivered after a long wait. The chicken tenders for my children were burnt. Overall, the food was poorly prepared and did not feel fresh at all. The waitress was average, but she disappeared for a while; thus, leaving me to ask other waitress for help. I want to point out that she was very polite and nice, but the long wait experience, her disappearing, and bad food contributed to my recommendation to look elsewhere. read more

Sunday, March 9, 2025, my sister and I stopped to get breakfast and we're not acknowledged the entire time we stood there, waiting to be seated. 3-4 minutes. The restaurant was not crowded. A white couple came in and was automatically acknowledged and seated promptly. My sister and I were never seated or served. It is 2025, racism still exists. Unacceptable. You would have thought after Dennys was sued in 1994 and had to pay 54mil, they would have learned. I guess not. My advice, go to the waffle shop across the street. They provide excellent customer service and acknowledged you when you come in. read more

CONS Zero COVID standards followed. Tables were sticky and nasty. Kitchen was slowest of any Denny's we've been to. Ordered chicken sandwich combo, 5-onion rings and dry chicken. Stay away read more

Very disappointed today Appears to have been short staff but was not crowded. Coffee was not hot. When omelets arrived they were very greasy. Because of short handed did not complained. Our fault. Also loud music from kitchen. Sorry but just stating facts. Don't anticipate something like this from a known place read more

This place was actually donkey. I went here because I was driving back home from Florida and it was connected to a hotel but didn't seem that bad. When I came in there were only 2 workers. I got sat down and ordered my drink which took pretty long only for a lemonade. After I got my drink I had to wait 10 MINUTES to order my food and then it took 30 MINUTES for only one plate. The hash browns were so soggy and actually so disgusting like it's worse than the ones you could buy from Walmart in those freezers. And the eggs were alright but they only gave me like one single egg. It was also very quiet for some reason and there was no music at all. I don't recommend going here just go to the Waffle House right next to this place it's most likely way better. read more

The food was amazing. Very fast. Our waiter was amazing. He was a young dude, had the cutest accent. We sat down and took what we wanted to drink an when he came back we placed our food and not even 10-15 mins we had our food. Was delicious !! 10/10. If your out outta town and looking for breakfast or a cheap London broil. Dennys is the place to go !! In the photo, (Top plate) London broil with mash potatoes and gray with corn and garlic bread. (Bottom plate) Chicken Strips, waved fries, garlic bread, mash potatoes with gravy. WAS DELICIOUS read more

Denny's - Diners Near Me - Lumberton, North Carolina

Denny's staff provided free pancakes for students at Robeson Community College in partnership with RCC's Counseling & Career Services. The staff were extremely nice and the pancakes were delicious. They provided their spring and summer menu and I couldn't help but visit the restaurant to partake in their new items. The French toast in the restaurant was spot on! I will definitely be back. read more

I read the review and it stated exactly what I experienced. The server was very polite and brought our drinks out right away. We had to wait over two hours to get our food. The manager at the end give us 10%off the bill for the two hour wait. The food was average and the restaurant was clean, the wait for the food was unacceptable. The manager told my wife "we only have one cook." Everyone in the restaurant was upset. The management in this restaurant should be replaced. I will not eat at this establishment and I do not recommend this place unless you have three hours to kill. The waiters deserve a five star, who did a great job with the drinks, they were great. The management gets one star for keeping the place clean. read more

This place sucked We ordered at 6:00 am and didn't get food until 7:00 The milk was spoiled and the water tasted like dried blood clots. The hash browns were the same texture as clipped toenails Everything was over cooked but still cold as a dead minister. Only half our food was delivered, we had to ask for the rest We also didn't get our checks for 15 minutes Shit food shit friends shit times read more

We enjoyed our Saturday morning breakfast at Denny's! The restaurant was packed. Most of the waitresses were smiling! Our terrific waiter, Timothy made our day! He was outstanding! The chef, whom we can't pronounce his name made our breakfast just perfect! We hope to visit Denny's in Lumberton again! May you all be incredibly blessed! read more

this could be an ordinary place for having dinner if not Christmas eve and Jaylin, who is absolutely fantastic and gorgeous host. She made our day! God bless her! My kids said that she is the sweetest and kindest person ever. Her service is outstanding! Wishing to be back because of her. read more

Just wanted to get on here and commend Shaina. She was our waitress on our trip to Pineville,SC. Shaina was not only a fantastic host but she even made our first road trip more pleasant. Don't get me wrong, that Dennys period was great from the food which was delicious to the most pleasant manager and waitresses. There was another waitress there her name was Jennifer. Jennifer went above and beyond even if she wasn't your waitress. So cudose, to that Dennys there. I believe that anyone stopping through stop by this Dennys because you will leave there with a smile on your face read more

Haven't ate here in a long time for breakfast but you never have to wait to be seated. The menu is big and you can create your own meal or make substitutions. The hosts was friendly and had a big smile. Our waitress was too fast. She only asked my mom she wanted to drink and stormed off. Mind you, it was just my mom and myself dining. I got the cinnamon cream cheese pancake special with scrambled egg(s), turkey sausage and grits as substitutions. I expected more sausage and grits. The pancakes' topping made it delicious. I wish it was added on the second pancake. Butter was already in my grits which wasn't that cool if I was concerned about weight or had an allergy. The waitress advised us I we needed anything else, we'd need to wait (yes wait) for the other waitress in duty because she was going on break but she was us to pay before she left. read more

If you go to Denny's In Lumberton, ask for James. He makes the dinning experience wonderful. The food is great too!

Horrible service. Wait to get seated and the front lady kept saying one moment. After my friend and myself grabbed our own table we ate our whole meal without the waitress looking at us, not once or walk by us to ask for anything. My friend never got his toast after the waitress said it will be out in a second. No toast. My hash browns was undercooked. This was the worst experience I have ever had and I will never return to another dennny's again. I'm telling everyone I know to not go there read more

Well, we returned here because my daughter requested it. The things we do for love. Absolutely never again. Same restaurant as last year, same crappy service. Our waitress ended every sentence with "baby". I couldn't have the healthy fit omelet on the menu because "we are out of tomatoes, baby." All righty . . . They were out of something else too. So we ordered my son a grilled cheese sandwich. Don't you know, it comes with tomatoes. Who has ever heard of such a thing? Granted, they were slices of tomatoes, not diced tomatoes like the omelet would have had. I guess they don't have a knife in the kitchen. Service was horrible. Food took forever. Food came out in spurts too. As much as I love my daughter, she will not get her request next year. We're staying next door at the Hampton Inn. read more

Felt generous with the 3 stars. Nothing to brag about. Its Dennys and it's old looking and feeling.

We stayed at hotel attached to the Denny's. We were starving after a long drive . We were greeted and seated immediately very quiet at 3 in the afternoon. The food was ordered and on the table quickly . We had breakfast next day before heading out to finish our trip and had another pleasant experience. Our waitresses both days were pleasant and checked on us several times to make sure we were okay. Would definitely eat there again. read more

This Denny's is inside the Holiday Inn of Exit 22 in Lumberton. Not much different than any other Denny's. Food is decent and is served rather quickly (especially at 5 am when the place is empty). Ordered an All-American slam, which consists of 3 scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, sausage and hash browns. Standard breakfast. Service was good. Place was clean. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn, they will deliver room service. read more

DO NOT go here if your in a rush, or value customer service. After standing in-line for 10 mins watching the hostess read off the menu over the phone, we finnally sat ourselves, she gets off the phone and 5 seatings later, no apologies, no menus. Only after Ammy, one of the servers saw that we were not being helped and took the initiative did we get service (Which was great). Manager was unconcerned, simply nodded, and several uh-huh''s only response was "we will" and walked off when told of the issue and asked to talk to hostess. Thank you Ammy, for being great!. Dennys management and service for this location. - not so much. read more

They brought my Spahhetty with Meatballs inside dirty bowl. I complained waiter, she took it back and brought the same spaghetti in different bowl. You know what I mean? She is serving me dirty food in different bowl. What the hell? I wanted to see manager, no manager. Also she brought me a check which you already know what happened. I didn't pay it. So this night shift on 12:37AM on June 1 st 2018 read more

Food was hot when we finally got it, but that's because it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. The "cheese" on my skillet had melted completely off the food and pooled underneath where it turned into a thin crispy crust on the bottom of the skillet. The pancakes were rubbery, exactly like they had been frozen then heated up in a microwave. They were tough enough that they could not be cut with a fork like usual. Even though we had all finished our drinks by the time we got our food, no refills were offered. read more

Just traveling through NC, we stopped for the night, rather late, at the Holiday inn. Denny's restaurant is within the Inn. Our waitress, Mikayla, was friendly and brought us both our much appreciated dinner and drinks....drinks from the bar. Food and service were terrific. Food is open 24 hours a day. We had breakfast this morning from the senior 55 menu. Again, no complaints. I would return. My review is only 4 stars because I believe there is always room for improvement. read more
