    Crab Cake Salad
    Dianne M.

My husband had the grouper sandwich and really enjoyed it - having it with a baked potato was a nice option. I had the crab cake salad and the crab cakes were great! Lots of lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Our server was sweet and attentive. They were very busy and some tables were dirty for a while, but overall the restaurant was clean and in good repair.

We came in when there was not many people. The service was good , quick and very helpful. The burger was done well with beefy flavor from the burger. The fries were crispy and fluffy. The Benedict however needed to be rethought. The he crab cake was a thin paddy. The egg was over cooked. The sauce had a slight citrus flavor. If I had to do it over again... I would go with the burger instead of breakfast

This is a wonderful spot for brunch. I had the crab cake Benedict. The eggs were poached perfectly, and the hollandaise was freshly made. My husband had the petite filet salad. He thoroughly enjoyed it. The steak was tender and the sandwich had good flavor. The side salad and fruit we had were nice and fresh. The service was great too.

Amazing restaurant!! So cute and welcoming inside. We had bfast & lunch. They serve lunch as early as you'll eat it so that's a good compromise. They make their bread onsite and man oh man is it delish! Wait til you see the dessert display case! I've posted pics. No words needed. I didn't have the soft shell crab special but good to note they do serve them! Also, conveniently located in same strip as Publix. Double score!

I love everything about this place. The food is exceptional, the service is beyond stellar, and the ambiance is everything perfect for the beach. I always look forward to my visits here...yes, we come multiple times a week! You just cannot beat the shrimp and grits.

I have always bypassed Amelia's thinking it was just a bar with bar food. I am so glad we showed up to Publix hungry today! Amelia's breakfast HIT THE SPOT! Delicious pancakes, good biscuits and gravy, excellent home fries. I ordered a side of home fries after seeing my husbands oniony yummy potatoes! They serve Coke products, thank goodness. Yummy food, clean restaurant.

Had lunch here with a friend (May 31st 2024). We sat outside, as it was a beautiful day. My friend ordered a salad and I ordered a burger with a side salad. We waited at least 30 minutes or so when the waitress came out and apologized stating that orders are submitted electronically to the kitchen but it never made it to the kitchen. The food came out quickly. The cook rushed making my burger because it was a little too raw in the middle. I eat steaks very rare, but a burger should be cooked through. I should have sent it back but I was so hungry by then. I did ask the waitress if they were going to provide a discount. I think we got 15 or 20% off. A good restaurant would have comped the meal. After using the restroom, I checked out the interior. I noticed a board with lunch specials. It would have been nice if the waitress told us the specials. I may give this place another try sometime in the future.

Mr. And I both ordered the market bowl. Quinoa, sweet potatoes, avocado, tomato, and a spring mix w a fried egg on top. It was beautiful! Then we bit into it. The sweet potato was barely on the brink of being frozen. The Quinoa was also cold...not just room temperature, but ice-cold! Avocado was way too cold as well. So, you can imagine what this did to the beautifully cooked egg... yep - turned it cold in a heartbeat. Really off-putting to bit into. Mr. went back inside and asked if they had a microwave to heat it up and the 'workers' just said that was they way it was supposed to be. Mr. tossed the entire thing in the trash and simply said "well, it's disgusting". You would think there would be a simple offer to heat it up, or some kind of remedy for the situation. They didn't give a crap. I'm pretty sure they flipped us the bird on the way out. Nice.

We were served by the owner, Nick, who made the visit even better with great hospitality. I had the Apple Butter Biscuit Bottom, and everything was cooked perfectly. The biscuit was crisp on the outside but still soft on the inside, the bacon was cooked just right, and the eggs were perfectly fried hard. The apple butter was amazing and really brought the whole dish together. My wife had the Awakened Bacon Filet Sandwich, and it was also cooked perfectly. The steak was a perfect medium well with just the right amount of pink, and the flavors worked really well together. I also tried the Blackberry Bramble Mimosa, and it was mixed perfectly. It had great flavor and was still nice and strong. Overall, Toasted was a great spot with great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

I had seen a tv spot about their new offerings of dinner, I knew I had to try them. We played golf up near Calabash, we had the opportunity to stop at Toast. Their menu offered a wide variety of their creative options. I chose the Shrimp Cherie, my wife chose the Slammin Salmon which was prepared with a couple of ingredients she couldn't have. They made suggestions on how they could alter the dish to satisfy her dietary needs. We both thought our meals were over the top. The service was fantastic our server was attentive but not a pain. The owner was very friendly stopping by a couple of times. The patrons were mainly local, the owner knew them well. His warmth radiated through the restaurant as the evening went on. My only regret was it took me so long to try Toast. It may be a bit of a drive for us but it's well worth the trip, we will be back very soon.

I've been driving by this spot for years and it's always been packed... not regular packed but…read morepeople parked in the street and the road trying to get in packed. This Thursday I was heading up with the wife to buy some fish and we decided to go for it. Of course there was zero parking with a parade of cars in the parking lot waiting to pick up food, when my wife noticed a pick up truck right in front of the place about to exit. She sped right next to the spot and jumped in before anyone realized it. We're in...or so I thought. We strolled up and there were about 35 people sitting on benches and rocking chairs under a tent right in front of the place all waiting to get in. I figured this is not going to be easy. I went up to the hostess station and asked how long for a table for two and she said 35 minutes or so. I looked at my wife and gave her my name. I had to find out what all the hub bub was about. In about 30 minutes they shouted my name and I sprinted to the front door...I wasn't about to lose my table. In we went and we're shown a nice size table in the middle of the place. It kinda reminded me of a beachy mom and pop diner. The friendly waitress came to the table right away, gave us our menus, showed us the specials board and took a drink order. The menu was simple but had some choices on it. While we were thinking, she came back with our drinks and we quickly ordered an appetizer. In this case, onion rings. A few minutes later my wife settled on a crab cake app and a salad which she asked to be combined. I went for the soup of the day(NE clam chowder) and one of the specials...pork chops(I took my grilled not fried) with 3 sides, Lima beans, okra & tomatoes stewed and green beans. The meal came with a choice of cornbread or roll. I opted for the cornbread. In a flash, the onion rings came out followed by the soup. Now I do love me some onion rings and these were fantastic. Crispy, flavorful and not stringy. The soup was home made. Creamy with bits of clam and chunks of potato. No salt or pepper was needed as it came out steaming hot and perfect. It was a meal in itself and I ended up taking 3/4 home with me(something rarely do). After a few minutes, the main course came out. My wife dug into a very large homemade crab cake, chock full of crab meat and very flavorful. She loved it. The salad was fresh and crisp. My pork chops came out and the size of the plate shocked me. Now, I almost never talk about price but my plate was $12.49 and I got two large perfectly prepared, juicy pork chops with a healthy helping of the best okra and stewed tomatoes I ever had plus absolutely delicious green beans and tasty lima beans. What a deal! The only thing that wasn't above average was the corn bread which was a tad dry and plain. Most of the regulars opted for the home made roll(and the fried chicken which was being served at every table!). I was stuffed and had trouble finishing my plate. My wife who said she was full, managed to save enough room for dessert. Now everyone was eating the homemade peach cobbler so I suggested that. My wife never had it before and was thinking about the Oreo pie, but I persuaded her and she was glad I did. Instead of the usual whip cream she wanted vanilla ice cream with it and it was a fantastic combo. The cobbler came out piping hot and crumbly with sweet chunks of peaches that paired well with the cold vanilla ice cream. She attacked it so fast that I couldn't get a picture. I broke my own rules and dipped in for a few spoonfuls and I'm glad I did. It was heavenly. The bill came and I couldn't believe how reasonable it was. Now I know why you can't get into the joint. We paid our bill and gave the super friendly waitress a nice tip and were on our way. We will absolutely be back and will try to time it a bit better so we can find parking...or we'll take an Uber...it was that good.
