What a cool spot! We don't usually make it up here because we're blessed with a bunch of good restaurants in the area but had been recommended this place by some friends in Ocean Isle. We came for dinner, but I definitely want to come back on a sunny afternoon to just drink and hang out. They had a live band and we were able to grab a drink while we waited for our table. Something I recommend because they don't do reservations. I got to enjoy the classic crush. Which was kind of like a screwdriver in slushy form. We didn't end up having to wait long and got to have dinner on the second floor. This place is huge! 3 levels so plenty of space. I got the stuffed fish which was I believe cod stuffed with crab and came with a baked potato and salad. My partner got the fried shrimp with chicken and that came with two sides as well. All in all for 2 drinks and 2 entrees plus tip we spent $85. A little bit expensive for the area and type of food but I definitely recommend stopping by this place if you're in the area.

Jamaican me crazy

Came with my two gal pals around 11:30 today. My first time here. Sat on the third floor. Perfect weather today. Ordered the Jamaican me crazy first. It had a weird taste and no liquor. Next I had the inlet blue, tasty but again not really any liquor. I'm a lightweight so usually after one drink I feel something. Two different kinds and nothing. Ordered a bunch of apps to share. All were good. Crab dip and mushrooms were the best though. Service was very good. Had a nice 19 yr old young lady, forgot her name. The view is very nice too. Bathrooms clean, and it got very busy around noon, so we came at the perfect time. All in all we enjoyed our ladies day out. I would come again, but need a stronger drink. lol

Shrimp salad

This is a HOT spot on the water. Inlet view bar and grill is such a casual, relaxing place and the sunset view is spectacular. We enjoyed the breeze, boats and lights while enjoying our meal. We started with sea skins - seafood in potato skins! These alone were tasty and full of seafood. We also ordered a dish with mahi, and a salad with shrimp. The shrimp literally was the freshest Ive had and it almost felt like they were catching it and cooking it on the spot. We chilled outside and enjoyed the view and breeze. Our server was nice and took her time with suggestions. I can see why this place is hard to get a reservation.

We went today for the first time! Very impressed! Exactly what we wanted! We sat on the rooftop and had calamari, a blackened mahi wrap, homemade chips and the seared tuna! All delicious and cooked perfectly! Nice portions. Our server, Mindy, was on the ball and kept us well taken care of. The views were beautiful! We were there for lunch and spent about $50 on 2 lunches, tea, coke & the calamari appetizer. The lunch crowd was definitely thinner being November which was great for us. We were also happy to see that Sam the owner was donating 10% of proceeds today to a local charity. Very generous and supportive of the community. We'll be back!

The food and ambience were great! The service felt more like "diner" service than fine dining.

I had the Shrimp Tacos that were flavorful. The service however was not very good. We sat down and were eventually told it was tiki bar style where we had to go to the tiki bar to get food. Once we were told this, we also asked for an umbrella to shade the sun at our table. When we did we were told that umbrellas weren't supposed to be open because of the wind. At the same exact time we were told this, all the tables umbrellas were up and there were two umbrellas unused behind the bar. It seems that the staff just didn't want to help us.

However, it would be best to just discount your regular menu slightly, but keep the quality of food the same. We can go anywhere during the tourist on-season and get a truly delicious $15 burger + fries around Ocean Isle (& even cheaper at Beaches). So when we saw the $10 off-season menu burger for Pelicans Perch we assumed the quality would still be good but that it was discounted as a way to keep busy during the off season. But it was reminiscent of a school lunch burger or a fast food burger (but even worse). The chili was ok, and that was why I did give it 2 stars. After that experience, I could not bother to go back to try the regular menu or recommend this place. So their regular menu may be wonderful. But serving an extremely low quality burger for $10 as a type of special for locals was disappointing.

So my buddy and I came back tonight with the bartender name Marhria we were there for several hours. We met amazing people we met their puppy that was there and their cat. Was there name, Frankie. We hung out there for an hour and we met amazing people while we played pool. We The bartender pretended to be our friend when I left my bill was 328 fucking dollars. So let's get to Straight. I bought a few rounds for some people a few beers for some people but my friend and I only drank Coors light bye-bye and I had a few bullet bourbons. Can you fucking believe that their bullet bourbons were $30 apiece? The bartender totally ripped us off because we were not locals. Let me ask you a question. When have you ever been to a fucking dive bar with a charge $30 for a double bullet bourbon? My wife and I travel all over the country and we've even been to California and just never been more than $18 for a double of bourbon. This fucking place ripped us off and she laughed about it as we left . My bill was $328 for two guys to drink. There's no food included in that. Keep in mind we were there twice earlier during the day and the bartender Amanda did not rip us off. This other bartender fucked us so bad. I can't even imagine all the places I've been to with my wife even in California our bill was never $328. So when I confronted her, she laughed and she had her boyfriend a mix Hispanic black guy behind the bar who said well that's our price. Like are you fucking kidding me. Do not go there. I'm actually calling my attorney because I'm bringing them up on charges for ripping me the fuck off I don't mind paying for my drinks, I expected a $220 bill. I did not expect a $338 fucking bill. So needless to say if she was a human being and treat us good I would've given her the $90 tip but she wanted to stick it to us and play scumbag games. She got a $20 tip on $338. And we are not like that. Do not go to this bar I repeat do not go there. I can't say enough do not come here go to pelicans 2 miles down the road and they treat you so much better

We left a diff restaurant with an hr+ wait bc this place supposedly only had a 20-30 min wait. We arrived, checked in and were told when one specific table leaves that we could have their table. There were other open tables but told they didn't have the staff to serve them. So we waited 30 min. and that table did leave on time. However, during that time at least 2 or 3 other parties came to the restaurant and were sat in those empty tables. We were told they had prior reservations AND that apparently they had someone already coming to fill the table we were originally promised. We could wait another 30-45 min for someone else to leave OR sit our 6 adults and 1 child separately at two high back booths with no contact. If it had been my decision I would have walked out immediately. No customer service by host or manager who came to hear it out. The rest of my party was too hungry to wait or go somewhere else so they sat separate and ate. I refused to give them my business and never will. VERY POORLY MANAGED and it obviously starts at the front of the house. My wife had the apricot salmon ($28) its was extremely bland. My 5 yr old son had shrimp and fries ($14!!) which were extremely mediocre at best. I've had better at Culver's. Restaurant looks poorly organized. Needs a renovation, and OBVIOUSLY some new staff who know how to provide customer service in a service industry. Ambiance was like a dive bar trying to serve food to survive. They won't be around long.
